Great craft beer, good tasty burgers, warm inviting decor.
I really like Meat & Barrel for being unashamedly hipster but not following all the trends. Nor are the staff up their arses, they're warm, friendly and chatty.
I was eating alone for lunch and it wasn't busy so the lovely welsh barmaid was happy to give me a rundown of the beers and breweries they stock.
As for the food, it was tasty. The burger was cooked pink (this information is in BIG LETTERS in the menu and you can ask them to cook it through if you prefer) and the garnish was delightful. The fires were okay and, maybe the issue was the number of them combined with their extreme skinniness. Somewhat similar to the game pick-up sticks, the mass of the arrangement seems larger than the reality of the sticks all together.
So for a quick, friendly lunch, check it out.
