We were staying at a nearby Airbnb and decided last minute to try this restaurant. We came with our baby, who was understandably very hungry, so I began giving her some crackers I had with me. Shortly after, the manager or owner approached us and said I could not feed her those crackers because they were not kosher. I asked if there was something suitable we could order for her, but options were limited, so we ordered fries, which thankfully came out quickly. We initially wanted to order a smaller steak along with several appetizers, as we enjoy trying a variety of dishes. However, after a lot of back and forth, the server strongly pushed us toward their recommendation instead. We eventually went with it, but the food was mediocre and the sides were very basic. We felt pressured into ordering something we didn't really want. Later, the steak arrived medium rare instead of the medium well we requested, which meant we couldn't give much of it to our baby. Wanting to be respectful, I asked the manager if I could feed her a Serenity-branded baby food pouch. After examining it for a while, he said no -- again because it was not kosher -- with no explanation or alternative offered. Overall, the experience felt rigid and unwelcoming, especially for a family with a baby. The food did not justify the price, and we left feeling that we overpaid for a disappointing and uncomfortable experience. read more

I looked long and hard to find a place that had maintained its service and quality since COVID, based on reviews. We were running late to our reservation and called that we would be late. They were accommodating but asked us to be understanding if we need to wait a bit. They were able to seat us right away even though they had a number of large reservations. The waiter was very nice and seemed to know the dishes. After ordering, my wife received her salad which had hot peppers on top, which wasn't explained by the waiter, and my wife doesn't eat spicy. The server stated if you take them off, it wouldn't affect the dish... it did. The waiter did offer to take the salad back and recommended a salad that didn't really go with everything else. and reluctantly, my wife agreed. The salad was a Thai style chicken salad. Seems like it was a bit heavy on the nut sauce and simply too much for her, making her queasy. I ordered the cigars and the aged steak by the ounce and got a 25oz. The cigars were good but the steak was perfectly cooked throughout the entire steak. It was very thick, so Kudos to the chef for pulling that one off. My wife had ordered the lamb, which was very good but because she was feeling ill, she couldn't enjoy it at the time. It made for a good lunch the next day though. The overall experience was very good, but the waiter made a couple of critical errors, that cost them a star, or a star and a half even. read more

Frankly, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. The evening started with our family of 6 sat by what looked to be a quiet corner. Then we noticed that the walls behind us were peeling. After our cocktails arrived, a waiter was walking by with a tray full of glasses. After dropping the tray, glass went everywhere. The management acted like nothing happened until I showed them glass on my daughter's lap and in my wife's salad. After arguing, they moved our table and remade our food. Only one of the five steaks we ordered was cooked to temperature and mine was very fatty. Several other tables in our vicinity sent back dishes because they weren't cooked properly. You can't charge $70 for a ribeye and NOT be able to deliver medium-rare! Ovo at the Altair is around the corner and far better. read more

Unbelievably bad experience here, highly recommend to stay away from this place. Showed up on a Saturday night and the place was practically empty besides 2 other occupied tables. For some reason the service took forever, we constantly waited to order something even as the server passed by our table when checking on 1 of the tables nearby us. When we tried to order they had multiple things on the menu not available, and this was when they just opened for the night too! We ended up leaving as the combination of not having what we wanted, even our backup options, as well as the garbage service from the start, couldn't be overcome. read more
