While I was there, I also picked up thyme, rosemary, lemon, red onions, regular onions, and honey, which saved me a trip to the grocery store. The shop was very clean and didn't have that strong fishy smell, which I liked. I was greeted right away, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great shopping experience. Their prices will be a bit higher than what you might pay at your local Harris-Teeter or Publix but the quality far exceeds. Their big differentiator is their customer service. They are a small independently owned business so their customer service is exceptional. Today I stopped in and ordered some fresh Snapper and got 2 pounds of frozen gulf shrimp and their seasoning. Order pick up: We have used order pick up at other Publix for years. For the past two years since…read moremoving to the area we started using this location. I would estimate that 50% of the time we pick up milk from this Publix, it is spoiled within a couple days. Last week's order the milk was spoiled when we opened it although it still showed a week of shelf life. I don't have time to drive 15 minutes back to the store and 15 minutes back home to exchange a gallon of milk (hence the reason why we use the order pick up service). If I buy a gallon of milk myself I can keep it for at least two weeks without it spoiling because we keep our refrigerator VERY cold (37 degrees). I believe when they pick orders they just grab the one closest to them and don't look at the date, and/or they pick the order and leave it in a cart for hours sitting in a location that is not refrigerated. If this happened every once in a while I wouldn't complain. But it is now happening most of the time we buy milk from this Publix. I would estimate that they owe us at least 20-30 gallons of milk over the past two years.
