3.5 stars A friend from out-of-town actually found this restaurant. We arrived separately, and it's a bummer that the parking lot for the plaza is so small. It's a good thing though that we were able to park on the residential street after 6 p.m. This is a fairly small restaurant with a patio. Menus are viewed by scanning a QR code. I'm not sure if it's specified, but certain items are only available at certain times. There's a chance that what you want to order is sold out or not available, so I'd recommend having a backup order ready. It was a super busy night when we went, so the food did take quite a while and was severely staggered in arriving at the table. Luckily, the restaurant was considering adding a pasta dish to their menu, and we were given one to try complimentarily. It was pretty tasty, and so were the dishes that we each ordered. The portions are decent, so if you're not a big eater, it'd be good to share dishes. The bread is so fluffy and yummy! At the end of the meal, we were given tea. It was a nice touch. However, they should specify that it's on the house. I had brought a cake and asked if we'd be able to cut it and eat it there. The server said yes, but it'd be a $5 charge per person. I understand that they provide plates and cutlery and will have to wash it, and I'm not sure what the norm is, but $5 per person seems high.
One for the more memorable doner meals in recent memory. The fantastic service and our waitress' recommendations makes it deserving of 5 stars. We came on a Sunday evening for an early dinner and could get a table. The space filled up quickly afterwards and they have a waiting list at the front once all the tables are taken. We ordered the Mixed Doner plate and the Meat Point salad. The doner plate was generous, with two piles of veal and chicken meat surrounded with rice, bread, veggies and grilled veggies. Paired with the pomegranate sauce salad, it was the perfect meal for two. They serve tea at the end of the meal as part of their hospitality. We were so charmed (no one serves anything for free anymore), we ordered the Sultac dessert upon our waitress' recommendation to go with the tea. She did not disappoint! The sultac was refreshingly creamy, subtly nutty and absolutely delicious. Note, they don't take reservations so it is first come first serve. Also no AC when we were there, but they have plenty of fans to keep the air circulating.
We ordered takeout from this place as we were nearby and saw good reviews. Food: Meat doner wrap - has lots of sliced beef/lamb - great gamey flavor. There's some lettuce, tomatoes and onions in the wrap. The wrap itself is kind of light yet chewy to hold up to the filling - 4/5. Chicken wrap - filled with delicious chicken shawarma slices. There's a hint of spice in there. Comes with lettuce, tomato and onions. 4/5. Price is pretty good for a quick lunch.
The ambience was great. We went at 6pm on a day that had the restaurant booked out at 7:15 for an iftar event and given this, we never felt rushed. We ordered feta cheese rolls (7/10), mix dip platter (9/10) and the pasha sultan mix plater (10/10). With this, we got 3 portions of the mix platter for 4 people but considering we got other things, we couldve gotten away with only ordering 2 portions of the platter. The bread that came with the dip/platter was also SOOOO good, paired so well with the dips. Baba ghanoush was my favourite dip but there were also a tomato based one, tzatziki and hummus. Would definitely go back!
Incredible service, atmosphere and food! No complaints :) The staff were so kind and welcoming and were happy to explain anything on the menu. Food was vibrant and delicious and there was local music playing. Interior looks nice too with the wooden beams and white brick walls. Lunch menu starts at 12:30, before then they offer this elaborate breakfast for 2 which includes several traditional dishes. Looked amazing and might try it next time when we have a bigger appetite! We ordered a few dishes for lunch: The meat shish plate of kebabs, pickles, rice and pita had beautiful presentation and colour! Feta cheese fried appetizer rolls were crispy and ooey! A perfect little snack. The spinach and cheese pide was good too. Ayran is a salty yogurt drink that tastes better with the meal than drinking it on its own. Turkish tea was really nice! And the trilece cake (caramel cake) was a flat spongey cake soaked with creamy sweetness. Overall pleased with the experience and would recommend!
Saw so many Turkish feasts popping up all over social media so I had to try it for myself too! They started us with some free pita and 4 dips (not shown in the reel), before our Pasha Sultan for 2 came in. My favourite part is you get to try a bit of everything! The grilled chicken and kebabs were my favourite here! The chicken doner plate was amazing and bigger than I expected, and we also got a pide to share. They also serve an All you can eat Turkish breakfast which sounds phenomenal! You get sujuk with egg, shakshouka, feta cheese rolls, fries, a cheese platter, olive platter, and a bunch of dips and veggies. I feel like I would be full for the rest of the day!
This meal was delivered via UberEats. I am surprised by the positive feedback on this place. Here is the play by play Dip platter: Mostly mundane items with baba ganough and hummus being serviceable. Other two were forgettable. Even with the promo not worth it. I had the meat shish which was over cooked and under seasoned. Rice and lentil meh. The chicken kebab ordered that I didn't try also got poor feedback. I can't recommend this place especially since a much better option is nearby.
Absolutely horrible experience. I went there with my family for breakfast. Ordered four breakfast deals that were charged $54 for two persons so $108+ taxes for four people. The deal said "all you can eat" but literally, that was a joke. They said eggs and sausages and eggs and tomatoes can not be reordered or you need to pay extra. So you can only ask for naan bread or tea for this breakfast deal. The food itself tastes average. Quality and quantity were very low but the value of your money is so high. It's super expensive compared to the quality and the quantity of food. We were very disappointed! The breakfast deal for four people is hardly worth $40 max. Customer service was at the lowest level. The owner and the waitress were rude and very disrespectful. Waiters push you to eat fast and leave the restaurant even though the restaurant was almost empty. Moreover, waitresses looking for high tips. They keep however around the table to give us weird looks, like telling us to leave. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you want to waste your money and experience one of the worst customer service than up to you.
Contrary to the reviews I've seen about this place and what I've heard - I actually had a pretty bad experience while visiting Meat Point with a friend. We opted to sit indoors since it was too hot outside and found that it was hot inside the restaurant as well. I didn't like that there were mosquitoes flying around (as it was coming to our food as well). I felt that if they were coming on our food while we were eating, then what must be happening when the food is cooking? We ordered two different plates. The bread was soft and pretty good. Complimentary turkish coffee was also served with our meals. I felt the food was not entirely fresh, as it was served warm and not very hot. I liked their bulgur, but meat was a bit dry and lacked flavour/taste. No water was served unless it was asked for. I like the wooden board they use to present the dish, but the dish itself, we both didn't like it as much as we were expecting to. It was OK but I'm not sure if it's worth another visit for me personally since I find much better Turkish food at other restaurants in the GTA. They do have a wide selection of items on their menu though.
I consult for a client up one city block from here. A bit ago, it was an overnight job and we needed food and one of my guys ran out and got take out. Came back with bags of Turkish food. What? You brought a bunch of Turkish Delight (yes I'm ig'nant!)? Last time I give this guy my credit card! Anyway...Open it up and surprise! Oh...So...Good! Made it a note to try this place - especially with excellent Yelp ratings and lots of play on Social Media. Will I get satisfaction that meets the expectations? Well, I know the food is great because take out is never good as being there and even that was good! Yeah...seriously good! Had an evening free and decided to go there after work. A few friends to go at it family style! Ordered the Mix Platter and bumped the Dinner for Two to 3 peoples worth and ordered some other dishes as well. Uhm...I hope you are hungry! Bumping the platter to 3 people left us in Food Coma! OMG! That is one HUGE BOARD of food! The MEAT was on POINT! Not sure if that was the play on words they wanted...but that is what I am going with - they should just accept it and run with it. :) Marketing!!! Get on it!!! Each morsel of shish kabob and doner was juicy and flavourful. Not sure why they had chicken wings but DANG they could put local bars out of biz with these wings! The rest of the platter had rice and bulger rice, some grilled veggies and hot charred peppers - oh...yes...you can feel the burn...right until the next day...groan. But I digress or is that digest! :D Service is also on POINT here. The staff is very friendly, responsive, and more than willing to talk about their food, culture, and history. I finished up my meal with a Turkish Coffee (which I just drank the whole thing - coffee grinds and all, dang it was good!) and some baklava. I love pistachio. Prices here are very wallet friendly. The meal we enjoyed didn't make my credit card instantaneously explode. I've had take out and dine in. Dine in is always better but now you know that their take out is worth getting as well. This family biz owned by brothers have big plans to expand to east and west. I wish them all the best and hope to see them on the Hill! CHEERS!
Took a chance on this place when a friend suggested we try it out for my early birthday dinner. I'm glad we did because it was pretty great. She found this place simply based on Instagram which can always be a hit or miss but luckily the pictures were matched with the taste. Since it was known for their meat platters, we had to try one. We decided on the BBQ mix platter for 2 (upgraded for 4) and were welcome by a HUGE serving of meats on meats, on top of 2 different rices, tomato sauce and grilled tomatoes and peppers to bring it all together. The presentation was definitely a site and made the food look even more delicious. Everything had really good flavour, were super moist and tender. I'm not a fan of lamb but I was able to devour the lamb kebap without much of a fight. It's safe to say my friends and I left super full and had leftovers. There was a slight mix-up with our leftovers though. We asked the waiter for a takeout container to take home the leftovers as we had seen other tables do. After waiting for 5 minutes or so, we asked again and they assured us the food was still there and was going to be packed. After another 5 or 10 minutes, we still had not received the container so we asked as we were cashing out. It turned out that the waiter hadn't understood us (His english wasn't very good) and ended up throwing away our leftovers. We were disappointed but weren't upset about it. Despite this, the owner asked us to wait and ended up giving us 2 full containers of various doner and other meats to make up for the mix-up. It was very well appreciated and goes to show the value of the service here. We definitely would come back for a craving of some authentic turkish meat platters.

It feels authentic. The people eating in the restaurant are basically Turks. The colors of Turkish food are so beautiful! I took a lot of pictures and then came to taste. Their PITA bread is bigger than your face. The freshly baked bread is soft and delicious, and the flavor will be different if you dip it in different sauces. BBQ MIXED MEAT Copper Pot Roasted Meat This big copper pot is covered with different kinds of meat and rice underneath. There are lamb, beef and chicken. Except for the lamb, which I personally don't like, all the other meats are good. CHICKEN DONER Chicken PlatterThis is grilled chicken on a wooden board with vegetables, bread and rice. Teppan Beef I really forget the name of this one but the lady introduced it to me and said she liked it. Underneath the beef was probably a sauce made of yogurt. Don't worry if it's not sour. Creamy. Yummy! MEATPOINT SALAD This is so healthy. It's got lettuce, beets, tomatoes and more. The flavor is sour. PIDE (like PIZZA) CHEESE PIDE is really delicious. Fluffy bread filled with cheese. The other one is really like a pizza with meat on top, but I think it's not that good. Dessert is BAKLAVA's specialty. It's a bit on the sweet side. But make sure you have a cup of Turkish tea. It's not only to relieve the fatigue of the meat, but with the dessert you can combine the sweetness. feel as if they suddenly arrived in Turkey. Came here with a group of friends for dinner. We got the BBQ mix platter. It came with some fresh pita bread, an assortment of dips, and a platter of meat with some rice. All the meats were really tasty. The fresh pita bread was also amazing. The staff were really friendly and even gave us complimentary tea at the end of our meal. read more
3.5 - I came here earlier than my friend so the staff kindly allowed me to sit while waiting for my friend to arrive. The waiter was really nice, he was friendly and smiling when he greeted me and took our order. My friend and I shared the meat doner with bulgur because we were not that hungry. When it came, it looked too good to eat. Presentation was well done with a variety of toppings and it was aromatic. Sadly we found the meat to be too salty for us. It was hard to eat when the bulgur and pita were running out as well. We were surprised to see that we were charged for $4 just for a cup of water each?? Apparently this is their norm but I wish I knew before coming here so I could say no to it as I had my own water with me... read more

Much nicer inside than it looks from the outside. Very cozy cute lights inside. The platters are big I think though for two. Bright colour food and fresh ingredients. I wish the flavours in the chicken was a little stronger. Otherwise everything was great read more

I came here on Thursday for lunch. And again on Friday for dinner. The Meat Point offers you an authentic experience of food and hosptiality. For both of my visits, the service was excellent. The server was patient and explained the various dishes. After dinner we were served complimentary tea (love that Eastern hospitality). The food was excellent. We tried the Pasha Sultan mix platter on Thursday and the BBQ Mix platter on Friday. Both options are enough to feed two (if not three people). The BBQ platter is $10 more expensive. It comes in a fancy copper dish and includes a mild yet flavourful tomato sauce and pieces of bread (soaked in said sauce). The desserts are also wonderful. We tried the bakhlava and a kunefe. both are prepared fresh and are soaked in delicious syrup. read more

The bbq plater was outstanding! Their grill items are juicy, tender and full of flavour. Ali nazik was amazing! The iskander, both chicken and beef was disappointing. A small portion and the flavour profile isnt there. Overall the place taste good but its too pricy for its portions. Bbq items are the only thing worth it but also pricy read more

Truly surprised by how much I enjoyed this Turkish food experience. We came for the aesthetic Sultan Platter, and got a lot more than we anticipated for! //THE FOOD// The soups came with a basket of freshly baked light and soft sourdough bread. PACA SOUP - beef tongue with a light yogurt soup base. You can optionally add garlic and lemon juice when it arrives. Perfect balance of a unique savoury taste from the beef tongue chunks with a light sourness. LENTIL SOUP - simplicity as it's best, I appreciated that they were very mild on the salt too. SULTAN PLATTER- for a party of 3 we actually ordered the platter for '2 people', which turned out to be just right since it comes with A LOT of food. There was a big side of salad, round tray of spices, yogurt sauce, and a tomato chutney for you to customize the flavours. The pile of juicy meats were laid out on a elevated tray with a bed of spiced barley, rice & sourdough bread. There were marinated chicken, pork, and lamb in the form of doner kebabs (shaved meats), Shish kebab (cubed meats) and a couple ground meat kebabs. The chicken and lamb were my favourite. The pork lacked flavour and was tougher. The meal ends with the servers bringing you a delicate glass cup for red rose tea. We decided to order some freshly made KUNEFE dessert. It's essentially a baklava but with crispy thin noodles instead of phyllo pastry. It's syrupy pistachio sweetness with the tea was the perfect ending to our experience! read more
Love the food. Staff is very kind. But I saw people in the back without masks prepping the food and cleaning. This is Feb 7, during a full lockdown and state of emergency. Disappointed and hope they see this so they can resolve immediately. With these assurances I'd be happy to continue to rave about their business otherwise. Update. Had a brief exchange with someone from meat point and they said they'll have a talk with staff about health and safety protocol. Will see what my experience is when I return in the coming weeks. read more
We went here on a Saturday morning when we arrived it was empty we were the first customers. We came to have the Turkish breakfast experience for 26$ each person. It was stated as a all you can eat breakfast. So we got many side dishes and as a main we got the egg and sucuk and the meneman it was delicious. The food all over was delicious But we came to a opinion it's too much money they asking for. The chai kettle was amazing. Would suggest for family and couples and friends who want to experience a Turkish breakfast. The service was very nice and friendly. The one star minus I will give for the stain on the cups that's something which is actually reducing my appetite. Everything else was nice Will definitely come back for the lunch and dinner experience. I would next time go for the simple breakfast which is 17$ instead the big one read more
I ordered a BBQ MIX platter--good meats and atmosphere. The chicken was overcooked, no other way to say it. I wish there were fewer flies in the restaurant. You can order Turkish soda if it is late at night and don't want the Turkish coffee but still want the authentic experience, I wish the server would explain this to me. read more

BBQ Mix Platter ($56) - THIS PLATTER THOUGH. Served on a traditional Copper BBQ this is used to keep the food warm and toasty . I especially loved the iskender doner with the tomato sauce (the meat in the middle that's hiding underneath the clumps of yogurt and crushed pistachios) . Was so tender, flavourful and just all around my favourite meat of the night! -- + Mix Dip Platter ($14) and Kunefe ($8). First time trying kunefe and was surprisingly pleased it wasn't as sweet as I expected. Loved this restaurant!! Authentic #Turkish cuisine in North York area, Toronto. Featured: pasha platter, bbq platter, knafeh followed by their Tea. EVerything's great except for their policy where each individual must order a MEAL. Their platters for two easily accommodate three stomachs however according to their understanding, it only is enough for two PAX, so you either get another dish if you're three, or you pay a service charge of 10$ per person.. kinda odd. Their have been instances where we've gone out and one person only ordered a light item but here, that wouldn't be the case ever. Photos for reference. read more

Absolutely loved my dining experience here. Delicious Turkish food at a very reasonable price! From the homemade bread, Paca (beef tongue) soup, to the fantastic Pasha Sultan mixed kebab platter (a must get IMO), everything was authentic and on point. The meat is tender, juicy, and grilled perfectly with charcoal for that extra bit of flavour. The hard part is trying to save room for Turkish tea, coffee and dessert! Managers and employees are super friendly and serve you with a smile. It reminded me of the warm hospitality i received when I visited Turkey. Definitely a welcomed addition to the Downsview Park area. read more
Went to check out Meat Point last night with a few friends after seeing a post about them on BlogTO. Every table was given some delicious fresh bread with a salad and two dips. All delicious! The restaurant itself is very modern looking and as soon as you walk in you there is a nice smoky smell in the air. This makes me think they are doing everything in a very fresh authentic way. We started with the Paca soup, a lamb and yogurt soup which was an extremely flavourful. You can spice it up the way you want which was pretty cool and they bring a juice to add some more flavour to it table-side. Then we let our inner carnivore loose and tried one of their massive meat platters. This was really cool! Our board for 3 of us stretched across the two pushed together tables and was massive. There was lamb, beef and chicken along with a variety of pickled cabbage, onions, bread toasted tomatoes & toasted peppers. Everything full of flavour! All in all, everything was fantastic and the service was very attentive. Our bill came to just over $100 for the 3 of us and also covered some more dips and drinks. Maybe this isn't my thing but I felt that a lot of the meat was similarly flavoured. The one thing that really jumped out was the BBQ chicken, it was super tender and flavoured nicely. There was a bed of rice under the meat so it absorbed a lot of flavours as well. Staff was very nice but we felt that the price was a little high. They're charging $3 for a can of pop. Will most likely not return as everything was just "meh". read more
Really nice place. Ample seating for family and groups. The service was really good and friendly. The food was delicious. We got the mixed platter to share for 2 which had 1 of each meat. The meats were cooled perfectly. And the presentation is very pleasant. Definitely worth coming back on regular basis. read more

Charred to perfection on the outside and cooked to your desired tenderness on the inside, the style of cooking is well above the rest. Definitely the best, along with superb service. We had the platter PUSHA SULTAN MIXED $40.00. A combination of shish kabobs and grilled from charcoal. Love the variety of this platter with homemade bread and its more than enough for two people. The complimentary salad was delicious. The Lentil soup was served warm. Great service. Delicious Food and one of the best Turkish food in town. We had their traditional Turkish coffee. Tried the Adana Kebap. The flavour is amazing! We're in COVID times, so takeout only for now. Looking forward to dining in and trying some of their other dishes. Looks like they have a a good-sized space for the social distancing rules they'll need to abide. The staff was friendly and their recommendation was perfect. Will definitely go back! read more
