I have been driving by this restaurant for years now, you can smell the meat grilling from the street so finally decided to come check it out. We were welcomed by a friendly staff, the service was quick, the food arrived very quickly to the table. The menu features several different type of bbq, sandwiches, doner & pide. Tried the babaganoush & cacik both were served with fresh bread and tasty delicious. As for the main, chicken Kofteh kebab, the kebab was a bit oily and tasted like lamb. l have driven by this place many times. It was the only restaurant opened so we stopped in for something to eat. Ordered the mixed lamb and chicken sandwiches. Came in a freshly made bun, the meat is delicious as was the sauces. The service was fast, they offered us tea and a sample of Turkish sweets. So glad that we came in and will be back. OMG this was insanely good! One of the best Turkish places I have ever been to! Food: Absolutely fantastic! We got the tasting platter which was around $45 for 2 people. You get a taste of all the different kebabs that they have. None disappointed! They were very hot temperature wise and everything was so fresh. You also get an unlimited number of breads to use for any dips that you get. These were some of the most flavorful kebabs I have ever had! Ambience: Loved the vibe inside! We went on a weekday night, yet it was super busy. I can see this place having a long wait time during the weekends, but you will just have to find out. It is always crowded. So take care you go early and leave your name and number, and they will call you back when your table is ready. Taste is amazing. Don't miss the "Iskender Kebab". It is mouthwatering and juicy. It is a veal and lamp topped with hot tomato sause and served with special yummy bread pieces. And there is also a nice option for two persons which is "Istanbul Special - Mixed Kebab". It is a mix of chicken, veal, lamb doners, kefte and kebab. It is a very good plate. It was tasty. We enjoyed it a lot. Besides that we ordered the "Mixed Pide", it was good but not the best. For appetizers, we tried the "Dip Tray", it consists of portion of baba ghanoush, hummus, ezme, carrot salad, Cacik & Russian salad. For deserts, the kunafa was good, but it is very small ( medium is for one person) . We went on a Friday night, it was busy , we had to wait to be seated. The place is not too big, but properly arranged. We ordered baba ganoush (appetizer) which looked very fresh, comes with fresh pita , tasted good. Their pizzas are not round, they are shaped somewhat like a canoe. We ordered mixed pide pizza , it came with three toppings , it was in three sections each with a different topping), pepperoni, ground beef, ground lamb, tasted amazing. We also ordered a platter which came with sliced beef and chicken, fried Bulgar and salad. It looked like the shawarma plate, but extremely dry (didn't enjoy that) They have wraps, chicken, beef and lamb, soups and desserts too. I can't rave enough about their delicious food.After dining here I went home a happy girl-what more can I say. So after several failed attempts we finally got a spot-we have tried coming here a few times on a Saturday evening and each time the wait would be 30-45 mins hence we would leave without going in. Last night we were able to grab a table.I would have given this place a five stars but due to these two reasons I will not be.Number one they take your water order and never tell you that they would be brining out water bottles instead of tap water-not good! Each one of us ended up ordering water thinking it is free and then we ended up getting water bottles had we known that they serve water bottles we would've actually ordered soda.Also I found the service was a bit slow-though our server was quiet friendly but didn't really check on us-each time we needed anything like more bread or order dessert we really had to call some one. Coming down to the food.The dips platter was absolutely delicious with many types of different dips.I would definitely go there again to have this platter.Each dip was delicious and fresh. Also we ordered a kabab platter which had a little bit of everything.Every meat item on that platter was worth trying-meat was beautiful cooked and well seasoned.I think 3 adults can definitely share a dips platter and meat platter and go home full and satisfied.To end the meal we ordered baklava which has to be the highlight of the meal-soooo sooo fresh and crisp probably one of the bests I have had in GTA.They also give complimentary tea. I was so excited to find out there was another Turkish restaurant Mississauga! The atmosphere is inviting and lively, food is served on traditional plate, where which I thought was such a unique special touch. The food was flavourful and fresh! This used to be good long time ago... but got worse in all aspects - quality of food and ingredients, small portions, cold deliveries, dry bread. The mix kebab is a joke for the price. I checked out this place last Friday! Great location if youre looking for some filling meals for a decent price. We were seated, ordered and got our meals within 30 mins! I was super impressed by service. In terms of vegetarian options, there's barely any other then the salads. I mean, it is a KEBAB house what do I expect. There's options to take meat out of some of the larger dishes, but it doesn't really make it worth it. I got the dip tray to share which includes Baba Ganoush, Humus, Ezme, Eggplant Salad and Patato Salad. My favourite was the eggplant salad, it had so many yummy flavours! The ezme was a bit too spicy for me. Some of the salads of the tray contains cremes/milk, so it's not vegan. The hummas is probably the only vegan options on the menu! read more

I ordered the Adana kebab. The two pieces of lamb and veal kebab was very flavourful and had a slight bit of spice. It was very good. The bulgur was also very good, not too dry tasting. The bread was spectacular. I think they make it in house. It was a slight bit chewy just the way I like it. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Was so happy I disbursed this Turkish restaurant nearby and I was craving some of that awesome Turkish pide. The place is in an unassuming plaza near the Dixie go station. Once you enter the decor is pretty modern and nice with an open kitchen. Our waiter was nice and answered all our questions. The only unacceptable thing here is they don't serve tap water and charge for bottles when you ask for water. This is Canada, pretty sure the tap water is potable. Food itself was very tasty. The flavours and spices were excellent. We tried the dip platter which had some very interesting dips, all tasty. The Kunefe is to die for!!! They also serve you some excellent Turkish tea at the end of your meal. Highly recommend , but just bring your own water bottle. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. I finally made it in. And I hate to say it I'm so disappointed. I really really was looking forward to their food. First of all, the portions are very SMALL. Ordered the Lahmacun for $16 plus tax and they give you ONE PIECE OF LAHMACUN!!!!!! Some onions and lemon and no parsley. Come on man. For 16 bucks you should be throwing in two pieces. These are very thin dough with not a lot of meat packed on so the there should be at least two pieces here. I was shocked. Absolutely ridiculous. Ordered a large Doner wrap. Let's just say there is nothing LARGE about it. They barely put any meat in and nothing much in way of veggies inside. The meat inside was also cold. For 17 bucks plus tax it's a disappointment to say the least. To top it off if you are dining inside they don't offer you glass of water and sell you bottled water only . $1.50 each. Service was average at best. We left hungry and paid $46 including tip for 1 Lahmacun and 1 Doner wrap and 1 bottled water. :( So many other places around that we will try next time. read more

DONE DEAL. If you're having trouble finding it, you're likely not alone as it's not a big space with an even smaller store front. If you're looking for it, it's in the same plaza as Popeyes at the south-west corner of Dixie and Dundas. Parking is located around the back. It was a bit confusing when I walked in as I didn't know if this was a takeaway joint or a sit down spot, but after speaking with one of the servers you can do either since they have many booths and tables around the long narrow perimeter of the restaurant but also have a cash counter for takeaway. Grabbed a seat and looked through the menu, gotta say, their menu is one of the best I've seen. Great pictures, nice descriptions, high quality paper. Very nice! I decided to go with the Adana Kebab which is a spicy version of the kebab that they also offer. It comes with Bulger, salad, bread, and a grilled pepper and grilled tomato. Everything on this plate was exceptional, so much so that I started this review as a 4 star and as I write this sentence I've upgraded them to 5 star. The kebab was incredible and very juicy, the salad was simple but the dressing was nice and lite. Even the bulger and bread were simple but still really nice sides - I really loved the tomato and grilled pepper. Excellent! Food is AMAZING!! Although the items on the menu are quite pricey, the quality and freshness is on point. Food is authentic and I felt like I was taken back to Turkey. We ordered the lentil soup as appetizer, the mixed grill platter and shared it. For dessert, we had the kunafa. The kunafa was really tasty and quite cheesy. I also love pairing my meal with ayran (drink). I would recommend this place and definitely come back. Ambiance is good and place looked clean. We ordered the mix platter for 2 because we want to try everything all at once. Food taste was good but the portion compared to the other Turkish restaurant I reviewed was much smaller for the same price. I would have given it 4 star but the bread we got served was cold and tough...I was expecting fresh Turkish bread that is hot like in the other place I reviewed. Really delicious, fresh Turkish food. The bread is baked in the wood fired oven on the spot. So soft and fresh. Meat is so tender, flavourful and well marinated no matter what you order. Complimentary Turkish tea at the end of your meal, but make sure to ask for it. The place is a little small and tends to get crowded. They have some takeout options at the register, almost deli like style. The food speaks for itself. Prices are decent for the portions. Staff are fairly friendly as well. Do expect a bit of a wait for your food though, and on weekends there will be a lineup to sit down. 100% beats places like Paramount, which has become overpriced garbage now for Middle Eastern Cuisine that I will never go back to. Washroom was a bit messy. They might want to bump up the cleaning a bit. Overall I will definitely be coming back for the food. Good for groups too as they have mouth watering platters. Went there for lunch with a couple of friends after one them couldn't stop talking about this place the whole afternoon. So we pretty much took the afternoon off to check it out and the expectations were highhhhh. We ordered the iskender kebab and the mix board which had a combination of different bbq like steak tips, chicken, wings, doner etc. Overall we liked everything we tried. I specifically liked the ground skewered chicken that was mixed with spices and herbs (not sure what it was called). The iskender was good too but it was a bit too oily for my taste (i guess it is supposed to be). For desert we got the kunefe which i thought was delightful and went perfectly with the complimentary tea. Overall i liked the food and service and would go there again. For the main course we got Mixed Kebab plate which included Veal & Lamb doner, Chicken Doner, Beef shish, Chicken shish, Beyti Sarma Kebab, Grilled chicken wings, chicken kofte kebab. They were cooking the bread right there and the server brought some for us, plus the Turkish tea was complimentary with the order. For dessert we ordered Kunede. The food was amazing, the kebabs were cooked to perfection, were tender and Juicy. The appetizers were great and very enjoyable. The dessert was decent but I have had better. Heard about IKH repeatedly from different Freinds. And today I decided to try it for launch. First, the high thump for the nice well explained pictures for each dish in the menu, and some wall pictures for Istanbul city which add nice spirit to the place. In general, it is a decent place. Simple designed very comfy chairs and clean floors. Service is just awesome! Waiting for an impression from you to serve. Food Bread baskets served hot from oven right with Baba ghanoog which was perfectly balanced in taste. Iskander kabab, quality of beef and portions of bread, butter and beef were excellent and overall delicious. Adana kebab, with burgol, again the quality of food and grilling is amazing. Donier Pide, Turkish Pastry with beef shawarma shredded on top of the cheese. Crunchy and soft. Good for 2 ppl Laban Ayran, was fresh not very salty.
