I know I have diabetic neuropathy and thought he may be able to recommend some sort of therapy or something that my VA doctor would not know about. I thought because neuropathy's root word is Neuro that a Neurologist would be the best approach to deal with this. He asked me to touch his finger and raise my arms and legs to resist him pushing down on them and a couple similar things like that. From that 10 minute evaluation he told me " your symptoms make no sense, it's all in your head" (exact quote) no test or anything, he referred me to a psychiatrist. I can't believe I have to pay for that. I won't be using him or anyone in his office again.

I was convince at the time he was the best family practice Dr I have had. In hind-sight, now that I have live 3 states further than Nebraska, I am even more convinced that Dr. Wiess is the best family doctor I have had. He always listened and as far as I could tell at follow-up visits he had also studied. He'd didn't always have an answer but he was on the ball. I wish I had access to him as a physician now. It is very difficult to find a doctor of this competence and motivation. Having lived in as many cities and states as mention, and having search far for doctors (given I have had some serious issues in life), he was the best. Another friend had see Dr Weiss, and tho skeptical, found that Dr Weiss was right about his condition too. Given my experience in Lincoln, NE also, Dr Weiss was the best.

The staff no longer listens to the concerns of the patient and does not fully examine a patient's reason for care. They do not prescribe medications timely and delay of treatment has occurred for me. I have been seeing this doctor and his staff for 6 years now, but I am now being forced to switch doctors. I need proper care.
