He is very interested in what is going on with his patients, and will stay in the exam room with you for as long as necessary to discuss any issues you may have. When my grandmother was ill and dying, we spoke on a regular basis so he could stay updated on what was going on with her at another hospital out of town. If he knows you have a medical issue that he is not handling, he will have someone from his office call to check on you. Such a wonderful doctor! I do wish that he still came to the hospital to see his patients, but general care at the hospital has been taken over almost completely by hospitalists. Also, he doesn't like to prescribe anti-nausea medications, which is my biggest problem with him. I'm a nurse, I know my body, and I know what I need. It's not like I'll be popping Zofran like it's candy.

The office experience here is definitely lacking. They've had the same few "kids"…read moredoing check-ins and scheduling, and I'm not sure how many brain cells they share. Now that almost all interaction is through an app, it's ever more nerve-wracking. I'll message to book and appointment, including times and dates I'm available, which dr I want to see (my reg was Gauthier, but he's recently mostly retired -- I'm am sad, he was the best) Dr G was the best doctor I've ever had. He listens, sits next me to have a normal human conversation, and he explains things in easily digestible. On top of all that, he's the kindest man in the world. I've been lucky to catch him on his fill-in days, so that's always a pleasant surprise!

My daughter is a patient of Dr…read moreMcWhorter, and she sent me a box of vitamins and supplements that Dr McWhorter recommended in his Covid-19 Protocol. I started taking them, and within two days, my fever was gone and most of my symptoms resolved. I did not have to be hospitalized. I will not stop taking the Vitamins A, C and D that he recommended, because I feel strongly that they were very helpful. Incidentally, two months after I recovered, Dr Fauci came out publicly to recommend Vitamins C and D--Dr McWhorter is ahead of the curve. I will be consulting him in the future for any other health issues.

Not only did she stand beside me until i transitioned to my new PCP, she stayed dedicated to my care with the same compassion, respect and kindness to all of her patients. Dr. Rooks guaranteed my prescriptions were refilled, as requested by my local pharmacy. Her staff were on top of my records release request and her nurse Angela would call to let me know. I could check the pharmacy's app on my phone to verify the prescription was going through. Everyone at Tanner Primary Care made the transition as seamless as it could be, knowing I had lost my faith in the healthcare system. They are one of four physicians I trust to attempt to put their patients care first. I respect their commitment and courage.
