I tested positive for Covid and my doctor called in my script that needed to be started right away. Without hesitation, team member B got my medicine ready by the time I drove to the store. I know that is not standard everywhere. If a product is defective, and I purchased it legitimately with my receipt, I absolutely have the right to exchange or return it within the return window. The item wasn't even 48 hours old. Another employee then came out of the office while I was trying to understand why this was being done. The entire interaction felt rude, unnecessary, and unprofessional. This is exactly why I prefer shopping at stores other than Walmart because there always seems to be unnecessary issues and confusion. This location on Pleasant Hill Road seriously needs improvement, not just with returns and exchanges, but with customer service overall. Half the time employees do not know where products are located when customers ask for help. Compare that to stores like Publix, where employees will actually walk customers to the aisle to help them find what they need. A customer should not have to deal with nonsense over a simple exchange for a defective product that was just purchased. It makes no sense and creates an unpleasant shopping experience.
