This Walmart is ok. It feels big at first but I felt like the aisles were a bit on the narrower side and it felt super crowded. I always felt like I had to dodge people left and right whenever I walked down any aisle. The stock here is not bad. They have everything from electronics to grocery to home goods. Some of the prices weren't clearly labeled though and even scanning the barcode on the app often didn't reveal anything. They have a self checkout that is pretty easy to use. They do not charge for the disposable plastic bags here. read more

This is one of the reasons why I do not like shopping at Walmart. I purchased an item on the 24th, and the product turned out to be defective. Today is the 26th, so I returned it for an exchange. Explain to me why the associate opened the brand-new replacement item in front of me after scanning my receipt and processing the exchange. I have never heard of anything like that before. When I asked why they were opening the new item, the associate stated that it was because it was an exchange and claimed it was "their policy." I know that is not standard everywhere. If a product is defective, and I purchased it legitimately with my receipt, I absolutely have the right to exchange or return it within the return window. The item wasn't even 48 hours old. Another employee then came out of the office while I was trying to understand why this was being done. The entire interaction felt rude, unnecessary, and unprofessional. This is exactly why I prefer shopping at stores other than Walmart because there always seems to be unnecessary issues and confusion. This location on Pleasant Hill Road seriously needs improvement, not just with returns and exchanges, but with customer service overall. Half the time employees do not know where products are located when customers ask for help. Compare that to stores like Publix, where employees will actually walk customers to the aisle to help them find what they need. A customer should not have to deal with nonsense over a simple exchange for a defective product that was just purchased. It makes no sense and creates an unpleasant shopping experience. read more

I got to Walmart at 5:30; specifically to pick up a rotisserie chicken, but there were none available. It's the heat of dinner time you would think they would have rotisserie chickens available through the store; I was able to find a cold, rotisserie chicken in the refrigerator, so I grabbed it. Most Walmarts would give you a 50% off discount because number one it's cold and number two it was cooked several hours ago. I mentioned this to the cash register and she shrugged her shoulders and said well there's no discount there's no sticker on it. Instead of being helpful, she just shrugs her shoulders. I was ignored at this mart and got more racist than anything here. Especially because I'm Asian, the African American and South American employees who work at Walmart ignored and were unkind to me. The manager here needs to train the staff thoroughly all over again. The unkind name of the employee was Jill, a South American female employee with glasses. She worked in the customer service department, and she didn't fit in here at all. There are a lot of South American workers here at Walmart, who are kind to the same South American and tend to ignore Asians. read more

We've had a few too many awful experiences at this location. I wish we could go to another location but for convenience sake, we are left to have to endure the same experiences at this one. Whether it's delivery, pick up, or shopping onsite, something is almost always leaving us all with a bad taste for this store. This weekend there was an associate at the exit who decided to read items off of our receipt and insist on us taking them out of the bags to show proof of purchase even though it was on the receipt. All of our items were bagged, we didn't have any big items, and we did not pay at self checkout. When we and a fellow customer behind us tried to explain this to him, he argued with us and was very rude and disrespectful to all of us. His unprofessional behavior was offensive to say the least; but to add that to the fact the he was obviously doing his job incorrectly is unacceptable. I'm just so very tired and fed up of this location. I would much rather pay more money at a different company than endure any more strife by going to Walmart - especially this location. When sharing our experience with a few of our neighbors they too have had similar experiences and have long ago stopped going; so I'm comforted in knowing we aren't the only ones. Even though I will no longer shop there, I hope this store will put more effort into treating customers with respect. I visited Walmart to buy two items. After twenty minutes of wandering, I found an associate who helped me locate the item instead of simply telling me which aisle it was in he pointed to an aisle of which it could be found and walked away. As I headed to the register to check out, I waited in line for ten minutes before an associate informed me that her lane was closed. I joined another line, but when I reached the checkout counter, I was told that they didn't have a scan and go code. I had to go to another lane to complete the checkout. At the next lane, a non-English-speaking woman scanned my items. I was ready to pay when I was randomly selected for a routine item check (as per the Walmart app). I informed the associate about the situation, explaining that the app indicated I would have to wait for an associate. After another associate walked over to assist, I scanned and went through the checkout process. As I walked away from the register and approached the Walmart entrance, the associate who scanned my items for checkout shouted down the hall to her associate greeter, informing her that I hadn't paid for my items. I was then stopped by the associate who had come over to help during the checkout inconvenience. I showed him my receipt on my phone, but he insisted that I purchase the items again. I requested that the associate get the manager, and I spoke with the manager about the issues. I presented her with my receipt for the items I had purchased and verified the items. She apologized for the misunderstanding and allowed me to leave. Disappointed with the experience, I decided not to return to Walmart in this location. read more

The staff at Customer Service are so unprofessional. They do not follow the Walmart store policy for returns. I had a receipted return that was purchased less than 24 hrs. ago. This Walmart is ghetto to begin with so I typically use the pickup service. If I have to go in the store to pick up a couple of items, I will go early in the morning at 6 am to avoid the crowds. Now, the agents at the checkout line will stalk you as if you are stealing something and make the shopping experience extremely uncomfortable. I used to shop Walmart almost exclusively and even used the delivery service, until the drivers started stealing the steaks from my orders. I am now using Amazon and Kroger more often because their customer service is so much better. I will also drive to Cumming or Suwannee to avoid the Duluth location because it is truly terrible. read more

Too crowded...disorganized, a few good things to choose from. The first aid section by the pharmacy was severely lacking. There were barely any Band-Aids and what little stock they had was full of damaged packaging, stained, sticky packaging, opened and "sampled" boxes, and even boxes slit open with knives. I had to carefully pick through the lot to find two boxes that weren't too far gone. The women's bathroom was disgusting. No need to get into detail there. They do have a fun selection of Funko Pops and Handmade By Robots, so that's good. read more

The worst experience I have ever had at a Walmart. I went to buy something that was $26 on the Walmart app at that same location and when it rang up a different price, the self check out attendant started an argument and was extremely rude. She told us that they don't price match to the app. Which absolutely makes no sense, why wouldn't you price match to your own app? We then went to another line and the check out attendant was much nicer, but still would not match the price on the app. Why would you have a price on the app at the same location I go to but charge more? The customer service today was awful. I have never had such an aggravating experience at Walmart. read more

I have lived in this area since this Walmart was built here. They have always had a problem with no one answering the phone. I don't know why they even have a phone. I have tried calling them at various hours during which they are supposed to be open. For weeks on end. No one ever answers the phone. I finally gave up and wrote a letter to John Furner - President and CEO, Walmart U.S. Let him try to get in touch with the manager of this Walmart. I doubt that's going to happen unless John has the manager's cell number. This is no way to run a business. Hopefully, Mr. Furner will straighten this store out. read more

Definitely not a bad location by any means; everything is pretty organized and well-stocked. However, I agree with some that when it comes to checkout time, things could go a little smoother. When my fiance and I went in, one cashier's register seemed to not be working. It seemed like a big disorganized process trying to shift everyone over to another register, and there must've been a smoother way to do it. I could see a lot of customers getting agitated. Wellmart is where you buy a well so that you can put someone down it and then tell it to put the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again. This massive and extremely busy NE Atlanta store was a very useful stop for me but the lines were so damn long and service wasn't great at all. I got asked to display my receipt on the way out and they perused it for far too long. Incompetence or suspicion, not sure which. The shelves were a little barren of some of the things I needed, and parking was tricky. I didn't know Atlanta area people were so angry and competitive. Target, you've just been one-upped! This Wal-Mart has been one I've been to many times, since my parents live not too far away from it. It's right across the street from Shorty Howell Park (ah the memories of many a Cross-Country Meet there in High School back before it was paved), and is located off Pleasant Hill Rd, about 2 miles off the 85 Pleasant Hill Rd exit (although you're better off taking the Steve Reynolds Blvd exit). There is a lot of parking, but getting out can be a hassle due to how they arranged the entrances and exits. More than likely, if you visit, it WILL be packed. I dropped by this Wal-Mart to pick-up a gift item I ordered online for our annual Christmas "Adopt-a-Family" routine. One of the families we adopted (typically it's 2) was a single mom and her 7 year old son. He had asked for many things, but one of them was a Hotwheels Storage Case for his Hotwheels. I researched a couple places but Wal-Mart had one I liked and was only $10, so I ended up getting him that plus a cool Hotwheels Stunt Track to go with it. During the online process, I had the item shipped to this store location, and got both texts and an email letting me know when it would arrive. My son tagged along with me, and was complaining the entire time about being hungry and wanting Subway. My recent memory served to tell me that this Wal-Mart would probably have a Subway in it, since most of them do these days. When we walked in, we were greeted with a nice, clean Subway on the right hand side. It actually looked cleaner than most stand alone Subway's I've been to. It made him a happy camper, and certainly made my day a heck of a lot more better. That was until I went to retrieve my package. I was headed to find customer service, and was looking at my phone to see about my package location. It mentioned a "Pickup Tower". As I was walking, I looked at my son, and asked him what the heck that was ... and as the words came out of my mouth, I saw this behemoth Orange Tower behind us. I almost said out loud, "WTF" because it looked like some massive space ship. We walked on over, and I could not believe how freaking easy it was to pull up my email, and scan the barcode. BAM, the space ship goes into motion and this elevator shaft brings down package 1. I grabbed it, excited to see it go for number 2. My son was impressed too. We just stood there in awe as package 2 came out. I almost wanted to buy something online right there, just to see it work again. And thanks to that, my day went from "eh" to "winning". Funny thing is, I could care less about anything else going on in that store that day. They had Subway and they had the Pick-up Tower. Now if only this Wal-Mart could cure a broken heart ... Make this a pick-up spot for your online Wal-Mart purchases for sure! read more

I have shopped at Walmart for a good while. But here is my story. Got home from work Sunday March 17 looking forward to a bagel and cream cheese. I opened the container and put my knife in. Upon pulling out the knife I see this purple thing and My first thought? Please Lord don't let this be gum I already spread some on the bagel? I got the courage and went back in and pulled it out. I look closely and there was also a hair. It is some type of rubber or plastic. I did not want to touch it too much. After looking at it I put it back in the container. Since it's pretty much similar to the color of the cream cheese I panic thinking ( I wonder if this is what they put in the mixture to give it color and volume). I went to the store to show the manager and was told to call the 800 number. Brian with the ponytail and ugly mole on the face was one of the rudest and unprofessional lack of common sense employee of the automotive service department of Walmart I have paid in advance for 4 tires plus installations appointment was for 8:00am i got there early around 7:30 am they weren't open even though the sign clearly read 7am-7pm i walked around to the front of the store made my way to the automotive section about 7:35am. Dirty floors, incompetent employees... but I guess your typical Walmart. I've been waiting half an hour for someone to come & give me a price check on an unmarked set of headlights that are locked. Apparently, only one person in the entire store can unlock this clip and she is nowhere to be found. Every time I ask someone, "She's been paged" is the only response. There's also no one in the auto section & the phone has been going off non-stop for the past half hour. It only took half an hour for a manager to be called....... Thanks a lot Francina. I haven't had a "really" bad experience here or anything, but I've never enjoyed coming here. Usually I go to the Target a few minutes from here, but today I came with my friend. Yes, Walmart has everyday low prices, but it's just not worth it when you have to wait in line for at least 15 mins just to check out. We almost just left our stuff and walked out... Agreeing with all the other reviews, they really need to hire more workers and get their self checkout lanes working. When I went today (10/10/2016), there were literally at max only 4 lanes, excluding self checkout. I believe there were only 2 self checkout lanes opened. It was really busy too.. a ton of people in line. Things are usually left randomly at different parts of the store, and overall unorganized. I would never come here at night unless there is someone with me. I just don't feel safe.. and I always see a police car outside though but I never see the police officer.. lol The only appeal for this place is probably the fact that it is 24/7, but then again the whole not feeling safe kind of contradicts it. Don't recommend unless there are no other options. read more

As far as Walmarts go, the Duluth Walmart isn't a bad one. It's big, it's bright, and it's clean. During the daytime, the store is partially lit by natural sunlight thanks to several transparent panels in the ceiling and roof. We all know Walmart has some of the lowest prices around (how they're able to offer such low prices is a different story). Case-in-point, here are a few examples of fruits I've purchased here: Mangos at $1.18 each Navel oranges at $0.58 each Bananas at $0.52 per pound Blueberries - 11 ounce box for $4.98 At my neighborhood Publix, bananas are over $0.70 per pound. Navel oranges there and at the nearby Kroger and Target are upwards of $0.90 each. Just like the commercials advertise, Walmart really does provide significant savings. Not only that, but the quality of the produce is surprisingly good. The mangos, oranges, bananas, and blueberries I purchased were all ripe. I was surprised how good they tasted, especially the mangos. Dare I say they were near farmers market quality. Then again, maybe I just got lucky. Another example of savings I experienced was on a 42 ounce canister of Quaker Oats oatmeal. At Publix, Target, or Kroger, these things sell for $4-5+. At Walmart, they are $3.68 each. On the downside, I have seen expired lunch meat hanging in the lunch meat section. Check the expiration dates of foods and other products before putting them in your basket or cart. This Walmart is one of the decked-out Supercenter locations. It has a pharmacy, photo center, vision center, Subway, nail salon, beauty salon, bank, and more. It's located at the intersection of Pleasant Hill Rd. and N. Berkeley Lake Rd. read more

This place, like all Walmarts in Atlanta is pretty bad. Super long lines at Checkout. Guess what? If i have to wait 5 or 10 minutes in line at checkout then the savings on groceries is not worth it. Not to mention the meats, produce and overall selection is really, really bad. Honestly back in Texas where Walmart is the market leader in the grocery business there, they carry tons and tons of better products. The meats and produce were still totally sub par, but that said there were better specialty items. Seems like Atlanta just caters to the droves of people on food stamps and illegals here. I come here once a year to see what they are up to, but overall, I will pass on your ten minute wait for checkout, and sub par meats. read more

This place is horrible... why is there only 3 cash lanes open with lines curving into the clothing section. This is completely unacceptable there is handicap and a pregnant lady literally standing for over 20 mins just to go 3 steps forward. I am a frontline lead at a very busy retail store, the minute I see my lines are curving I am calling any available cashier trained associate to help ring. Even the managers are just standing around laughing. This is New Years day, no matter you guys should be over staffed. But sadly, its not just today its like this on a regular bases. This place is one of the neatest Walmart I have been to as well as having items stocked. Parking is plentiful. Entering is easy. Exiting can be a pain in the butt sometimes if you catch rush-hour. I ordered my daughters birthday cake on a Monday and the call me Saturday at 10am ... ( my pick up time was Saturday @12 ) telling me my cake order was taken by a new employee and wasn't possible to make. Ok?? I got the design out of the design book... Then I go into the store and compromise a cake so my daughters birthday wouldn't lack a cake. When I sent some one else to pick up the cake and when it got to me it was sloppy, shotty work and too top it off my daughters name is spelled wrong! The manager, Taurean, may have the impression that shoppers time is worth a dollar. I went to the store today and found some great tapered candles on sale, actually closeout (from 6.79 to 1.00). I was going to get a pair at this cost it was worth getting some more. I take them, complete my shopping and go to self-checkout only to find that they ring at full price. I get an associate, but she confirms it. So, thinking I misread, I take the candle back and recheck the scan code, but it matches. I ask the guy in that section, and he confirms it. Now, i take them back to the register convinced they would fix this for me. The gentleman helping proceeds to ask the manager, since he could not key them in and...Taurean informs him that the labels are old. A store error! But his suggestion is: to sell me 1 at the closeout price. How is this store managed that closeout labels are not removed and after getting the costumer excited about the deal, they cannot honor the advertised offer or get them to me at cost? I could have gotten the candles for free and still i would not have gotten my wasted time paid. read more

Unable to return items that I purchased today because customer service area is closed due to "glitches" in system and nobody in the store is trained to do returns. I was told this morning that customer service is open until 10 PM so it appears they decided to close early. I am invited to return tomorrow at 7 AM but there is no guarantee they will be able to accept return. As an addendum I was given the phone number for the store manager Nikki. 770-418-0162. This is just the general store phone number with no operator and no extension for the manager and no voicemail. The platinum American Express says they have refund protection and will credit the money spent if the store is not able to make a return during normal business hours. Hooray! read more
