The Nurse Practitioner on duty looked at it and kind of palpated it but didn't do any x-rays. then she sent him home in a boot and said come back in two weeks if it's still hurting. took him to the tanner clinic and first thing they did before dr even saw him was take x-rays. they found that he broke his fibula in two places. I'm a 49 year old professional driver licensed for 31 years, never have had a issue obtaining my DOT medical card even after my stint placement 4 years ago my cardiologist cleared me for driving and 2 years ago released me completely, I needed to renew my DOT medical and Google recommended Medallus Medical, being near to my location I give them a try, So I go to the Layton clinic and they ask you to fill out your medical history on your phone. There questionnaire app is not cell phone friendly. You need a tablet or computer to navigate it properly. Because of this, I had answered multiple questions incorrectly when filling out my medical history. Unfortunately might just word-of-mouth explaining my mistake and showing the issues was not good enough. I needed to go to my medical provider with their paperwork to prove I did not have the procedure that they were asking me to produce documentation for as well as they needed more information on my pre-diabetic care. As I cannot work without my medical, I make arrangements to see my regular care provider the next day, and as I explain that I could be back the next day with my paperwork after I've paid for the medical and performed all of the test and passed they tell me the doctor is only in once a week. That alone, I would not have chosen this facility to do my medical however I took the paperwork to show that I did not have a vein graft as I had accidentally put a yes to when trying to fill out my paperwork and took it to my regular Doctor Who verified what I said I did not have a vein graft. I had a stent put in, and I had been released by my cardiologist at that point under the federal motor carrier regulations it is up to the discretion of the doctor performing test whether I need a stress test or not at no time. Did the doctor mention that she would want a stress test done if I had a stent put in only that if I had a graph she would like one and had to have one under the federal Moyter carrier guidelines. I went to my regular physician had all the paperwork filled out the next day yet had to wait a week before me. Dallas could have a medical provider look at it on the following Monday, I called to ask about picking up my medical clearance and card so I could go back to work and at that time the doctor because I had proven I didn't have the vein graft then decided that they wanted a stress test done for my stent that I have been medically cleared for which again is at her discretion not required to receive my DOT medical as I called the office, asking to talk to the office manager and the Head physician for the federal motor carrier inspections at Medallus. None of these people would return my phone. Call the office manager the head of the doctor department they kept having their underlings call me with the same response of it was on paperwork. It wasn't on paperwork. It is not required. It is to the discretion of the provider my personal physician who can issue a DOT medical after filling out the paperwork meals had given me told me he is licensed to do the inspections and felt there's no reason that I should not be granted one after two days of calling me, Dallas and making issue of the incompetence and the lying of their provider saying she did not know about the stent after she and I had multiple long conversations about it, explaining my mistake of putting a graph. She then lies saying she had no idea. I finally tell me, Dallas I would just like my money back because again they're incompetence and the fraudulent statements of their provider. I do not feel that I got what I paid for and again the office manager would not call me back. She had her underlings call to tell me that that's not gonna happen they provided the service. I highly recommend never going to any meals medical for your DOT physical. The doctors are not honest they don't tell you there's only a doctor in the office once a week and when you fill out the paperwork showing that you have not lied to them, they then use their power to make up more reasons of why you cannot receive your medical and I'm out another hundred dollars to go pay a confident doctor to provide me with the DOT medical. I need more frustrating than anything was and my request to talk to management management would not talk to me and their answers. We're not Jermaine to any of the questions that I had and for to be clear I do not have an issue and I don't have a problem with it being the medical providers discretion to ask me for a stress test what bothers me is she waited until I provided all the documentation she'd ask for to receive my medical and when I had proven, I did not have a graph she then started to request for more documentation and that is my issue. I would rate this place as negative stars but they only let me have a one star anybody needing medical attention or a DOT medical with this kind of competency that I've been shown and provided I highly recommend you go anywhere but to these facilities. read more

Disabled veteran, went in to get a Covid test and they billed Tricare West instead of Tricare East. Never received anything from them. My bill was under $200 and they are suing me over it. All because they billed the wrong insurance. Horrible company, I would rather die than go somewhere like this. Horrible company. My insurance said they'd pay still (two years later) but now medallus is making me pay $800+ in legal fees in addition to the visit that my insurance said they'd still pay. Still kinda in shock that this is all because they billed the wrong insurance company. Now cherry hill their legal office is calling my place of business to garnish $900 worth of wages. They are knowledgeable, honestly care for their patients, and are very friendly. It's a nice place to go for urgent and primary doctor. Plus I love their fish tank. Went in on a holiday for a silly little skin infection that had been causing me a great deal of pain for several days. The staff was phenomenal! From the first point of contact at the front desk, to the medical assistants who took care of me in the back, to the PA doc who treated me. Everyone made me feel calm and taken care of even though my problem wasn't that serious. They explained everything to me in a way I could understand and I didn't feel rushed or confused about anything. Billing was fair and explained well. My PA, Kyle Vance, was especially kind and and understanding. He demonstrated excellent bedside manner--very professional, trustworthy, and pleasant to talk to. The whole visit took less than an hour. I was very happy with the quality of care I received at this facility and especially from this awesome staff! read more

Once we were taken back it was a pretty standard time to be seen by the doctor etc. My overall experience today results are as follows: The only good thing that came from this visit was the cost other than that it was horrible. What should have been a routine procedure turned into a trip to the ER. I received a shot by one of their incompetent medical assistants. Within an hour after the shot, extreme pain set in and I could not stand up. I went to the ER with extreme pain in my leg- couldn't figure out what was wrong. I was able to walk in and out of the medallus clinic just fine. Anyway, the ER doctor said that my SIATIC nerve had been hit when the shot was administered. The pain was absolutely excruciating. The nerves in my leg and my foot were blown out by the shot. I had a pooled blood bruise that was almost black, on the side of my foot. Painful, painful experience and rude corporate people that could care less about their patients. Never again-cheap, shoddy health insurance. My foot has nerve damage. I am out two grand. Not really a savings for a clinic that boasts about saving people money. You get what you pay for-absolutely. read more

Unbelievable Care!!!! I simply cannot believe the care, concern, and treatment at this facility. I've been to other Urgent Care's with and for my daughter in Michigan, and, without a doubt, both "urgent" and "care" were noticeably lacking. Not so here. I was in GREAT pain as I arrived, and when I saw the look of genuine concern from the receptionist, Jeanette, I KNEW I was in the right place. She was very welcoming and very professional in all aspects. I appreciated her empathetic attitude. The PA's assistant, Julie, was beyond amazing. I was very cold as well as being in great pain and her positive manner and great listening skills reaffirmed my sense that I had come to the right place. She even brought a warm blanket to make me more comfortable. As another unexpected touch, she was able to draw a blood sample quite effortlessly. As a frequent blood donor, I am known as a "hard stick." Yet, I hardly felt anything. Julie was simply superb! ANOTHER true professional on this team. Last but not least, PA Daniel was, simply stated, the best provider I've had in years. He was a great listener - really important to me - and described the problem, proposed solution, and even future considerations. His "bedside manner" was textbook. As with the 2 ladies, I sensed genuine concern. AT the end of the day, he, as the provider, made me believe that I had been fortunate in choosing Medallus for my care. Don't go here! Very sloppy and disorganized place. Went here for diabetes and the main doctor can never give a direct answer on just about anything. Every answer was maybe you should maybe you shouldn't. Finally he prescribed me meds that he thought may or may not work and surprisingly, they helped. Called almost a month later to request a refill and the doctor doesn't even have a record of prescribing me the meds nor does he see a visit from me from just 3 weeks ago in the system. They told me to call my pharmacy to have them request a refill to in fact verify/prove he actually prescribed them to me. Me, I had to prove the doctor prescribed blood sugar meds to me? Wth? They stated I had multiple files and everything got lost. I tried to call again and request to speak with the doctor when he was available and was told "oh sorry he's running late, I'm guessing car problems or kid issues" I gave this place way too many chances and refuse laxed, lazy, and poor medical attention again! No doubt this place has kind staff but kindness doesn't cut it when it comes down serious medical needs. If I could give zero stars, I would! If I could give negative stars I WOULD!! This is the WORSE urgent care we have ever worked with!!! My daughter (5years old) was sick and had a terrible cough! They did a covid test it was negative and left her and my husband in the car she had a fever and they didn't ask about and medicine and did not give her anything for her fever. They suggested Tami flu but I was past the date range for her to even have Tami flu. When my husband told the PA Kyle that she was coughing so hard she was throwing up. He just said okay then when my husband asked him about what we could give her for her cough he said oh just give her Robatussin(which says 6 years and older) Thankfully the pharmacist was able to help there! They never listened to my daughter for breathe sounds to make sure there wasn't anything else wrong. Shocked and appalled by the level of care they provide! I made numerous complaints and never had the manager call me to settle it! Then they sent a bill for $484 and didn't bill my Insurance when I called to ask why they didn't bill the insurance they said they tried but they got a denial letter saying Medallus saying they could not find patient and they needed to call patient to verify insurance. I asked why did no one call us to verify they had no answer. Just terrible terrible service all the way around. DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!! read more

Medallus/After Hours Medical, whatever their new name is. DON'T GO THERE! Financial issues: I slipped and fell on icy cement stairs, and took off most of the skin on my shin. I couldn't put any weight on that leg, so I figured I'd better get an x-ray done. I verified with them and with my health insurance that they were IN-NETWORK, when their advertisement said they charged $99 for a visit with Dr, no procedures, or $199 for a visit requiring tests/procedures (like an x ray). I'm now being sued for more than twice that, plus lab charges, charges for an imaging company I've never heard of, extra fees, late fees, interest and legal fees because they didn't accept in-network negotiated prices. They are also charging me for several things they did NOT do, things they did not give me, etc. I gave them my HSA card at the desk before I even signed in, and signed permission for them to charge me up to $199 in case my insurance did not pay. They never charged it, just kept sending bills to my insurance with out-of-network charges that my insurance company will not pay for. Now they have moved and changed their name, and they are suing me, when I should be suing them! On the personal side: After calling to verify that they take walk-ins, and would be able to see me asap, I waited in their lobby for nearly an hour. I was in so much pain I could not walk on my very red and purple, swollen, broken leg, and I was not given crutches, wheelchair, an arm, or anything to assist me whatsoever. I hopped in from my car, in the snow, and nearly fell again in their parking lot. Then they made me hop (in tears and obviously in pain) into the exam room, hop into the x-ray room, and then watched me hop back to the exam room. The Dr said my leg was not broken, even though I later found out it was, and was very condescending toward me when I told him I was in pain. He said to try an ice pack, maybe lose some weight, told me to put Neosporin on it, and walked out of the room. I was at the clinic for over three hours and they did absolutely nothing to help me. I did some research for and urgent care in my area that did xrays, I don't have a doctor in Davis County because I had just moved here. My intital visit seemed pretty good, I was seen and xrayed and blood taken for a problem I was having. I was told I would be called the next day which would have been a Friday, I got no call. I finally called them back Monday afternoon, and I was told that they couldn't give me any information about my xrays or diagnosis because they weren't a provider. But that they would have someone call me. By Thursday after still not hearing from anyone, I decided to just stop in for my xray and blood work results and prognosis. I explained I was there for test results and that no one had contacted me with results. I was not treated like I was on my intital visit, they did finally send me back to be seen, the girl kept wanting to put a boot on my foot, and I hadn't even had any results. The PA finally came in and she asked me also, did no one call you? The answer was no. She told me my blood tests were negative, and that my x-rays were normal. I asked to see the radiologist report, which she went and got, the test wasn't normal. Did she even read the report? They gave me a boot for my right foot, (why did I need this if all tests were normal). I didn't wear it out of the office. Took it home in a plastic bag, and spoke to my husband who said we are taking it back. When I asked the price of the boot at the urgent care no one would tell me, said it varied per insurance. I took the boot back the next day unworn, asked them not to bill my insurance, but they did anyways. I have now been on the phone trying to talk to insurance to let them know that Medallus charged them $200.00 for a boot that was never worn and taken back. Very disappointed in this place, in all ways. I will never go back. read more

This place almost killed my sister. They took an x-ray when she was having stomach issues that were non-impact and told her it was only gas. Less than 3 days later she was in the ER where they found large mass on her kidney. This urgent care only cares about revenue, not your medical care. I personally adore Dr. Warrick, however, most times that I go, I am unlucky and receive care from Dr. Offret. Dr. Offret is rude, dismissive, cold, and makes me feel worse than when I went in. My last visit was 04/109/2016, I had left work early because I was exhibiting heart attack like symptoms. (tightness and pain in my heart, trouble breathing, confusion as to where I was and what I was doing, dizziness, and finally, the extremities on my left side had pain shoot down them, became numb, then finally just tingled.) He told me that my EKG and Oxygen were fine and nothing was wrong with me and the breathing issues can often be from hyperventilating (Which I wasn't). I also had seen a cardiologist when I was younger and found that I have a hole in my heart which expands any time I am under stress, so I was already made aware of the heart issues I have which is why I make it a habit to do calming exercises and not overwhelm myself, been just fine for 20+ years with that. I then told him I have shortness of breathe and chest pains regularly (Nothing new for me, I also have asthma & severe anxiety which causes the shortness of breathe), none of which were accompanied by the extra symptoms I was having which is when he finally gave me a referral for a cardiologist all while saying, "I didn't hear anything wrong so I'm VERY interested to know what they say to you". He left, came back and I was having the breathing issues and calmly attempted to correct it, which I usually do through a deep breathing yawn to which he condescendingly said while laughing, "oh are you not getting enough sleep? do you need to go back to bed?" I then stated to him I was having shortness of breathe at that moment. Every time I have gone in and gotten him, I dread my doctor visit because he tries to make me feel like a hypochondriac. Especially if I make the mistake of bringing a loved one in.
