Dont order any Supplies from them. They are a bunch of scammers. I am sharing my personal experience. I ordered supply for my CPAP machine. When you place order there is a option that 'It will give you estimate how much it will cost you'. Based on that I confirmed i will pay $34 and insurance will cover $98. Otherwise Amazon could have costed me $60. So i went ahead and confirmed order. I received my package sometime in January. Then out of no where I received a bill of $98. I wondered why am i receiving this bill now. When i called them, they told me my insurance doesn't cover anything. I got confused, Why my insurance was covering $98 in January and suddenly after two months it's not covering. I called them multiple times and asked them take your package return, And then they are telling me Return window is just 30 days. So how they are scamming people is, 1. first they will call you ensure you, it will cost amount. 2. And wait for return window pass by. 3. Medcare Equipment company likes to take advantage of sick people. My mom, a cancer patient who gets many supplies from them has now been ripped off by them twice. Unable to return equipment, company is not picking it up and charging people. She was charged for equipment after it was scheduled to be picked up,they voided the order on their end and she paid $155 for their mistake. I made several calls unable to get the matter resolved and had to wait for a specialist,to return my call. For a condensed explanation of my experience with this company; I was billed roughly $20 for three (3) small foam filters for my CPAP. This seemed extremely expensive to me. Using the part #'s from the order, I had looked up the pricing at several other online companies. The items I received are roughly $.78 cents a piece most everywhere else. I had contacted MEDCARE after getting the invoice, and asked for verification that I was sent and billed for only three (3) filters I had received. I had also asked if there had been a mistake in the billing, due to the extreme difference in price of the items I had received, and how much I was billed. A summary of the response was "everything was shipped, and that's what it costs". Needless to say, I am not using this company for any of my medical supplies in the future. To many, I'm sure these supplies are covered by insurance, so the patient never sees the extreme charges. To me, this practice appears to be bordering on fraudulent. My 87 year old mother has leukemia and is in need of a rolator to assist with moving around the house. Her PCP submitted paperwork to request the new equipment. MedCare has denied the request because the office notes are handwritten and the addendum with the request is typed. It took them 9 days to notify her PCP that it was denied. If that is how this company treats patients in desperate need, I don't understand how they are still in business. I had to file a grievance with her insurance company. As with some people on here, I have to agree that this company is terrible. First my CPAP took like 4 Months to get and now to re order supplies takes forever too. Here is the timeline and I have email proof. 1-3-22 order placed for CPAP supplies. So on 1-10-22 item is shipped and today 1-15-22 it is still not here and still in transit. I receive oxygen tanks and they are sporadic in availability. Called in for my tanks quantity of 8 and was told delivery for Friday. When delivery showed up only had 3 tanks. Can't use bigger tanks because I use a walker. Spoke to the office and basically a supervisor said the earliest they could do something was Tuesday! So I am stuck in my apartment during a holiday weekend and had to miss my grandsons recital. She could not have cared less. I strongly believe in karma and hope for it in this situation. Avoid Medcare!!! I use them for my CPAP supplies and have had issues from the start. Most recently my order for CPAP filters was shipped on 10/19/23 and still has not arrived as of 11/8/23. Customer Service insists its "out for delivery" based on what their system says, but let's be real.....the package IS LOST!!! I've been trying to get a replacement order for the past week and cannot get to a manager to cut the red tape and expedite the replacement order. My dr ordered my bipap machine with the proper mask, and they sent me the wrong mask. I called and they said they are sending the proper mask right away. After 15 minutes opted to have them call me, without losing my place in queue, only to be told that option wasn't available. Undeterred, I opted to have an online chat. Unfortunately my health insurance company forces us to use them so after six month of pure frustration and abject incompetence on their part I'm starting to explore legal options with various state and federal regulatory agencies for a remedy. Some examples of what it's like to deal with them; for the third time in six months I attempted to log into my account, this time for support with my equipment, only to have their shoddy website say I have no account registered with them; the account that had clearly been created as evidenced by the emails I get sent with receipts for bills, their spam etc ... Bills that mysteriously change for no reason with no reasonable explanation ... Bills for equipment and supplies that I order and get shipping notifications for, you know from the account that doesn't exist, but sits in their facility for weeks on end, never actually gets picked up and nobody knows why ... while trying to help my son go to another DME supplier cause this one only delivers oxygen on Tues and Thursday and my son is on continuous oxygen(portable tanks) and his tanks don't last a day and they told him he can pick one up and then called and told him they didn't have any for him. My son was just recently released from the Hospital with Covid pneumonia! Ive tried for almost a week to get his paperwork over to another supplier only to be told by their rude CS by chat they sent it. They did not send it at 12pm when they said they sent the medical records over it wasn't until 1:15 in the afternoon. All the while my son is still struggling to breath. The worst place to get any supplies or equipment. To top it off I've been with these people for nearly a year and they repeatedly charge me for supplies and rental when my health insurance pays for all with no copay. They take 3 months if you catch their mistake to repay you which is really hard for a person on SSI. They make you put a card on file for them to make these charges on they will not send any supplies unless you do. I closed my account with them and they continually charge me. The last bill came with another envelope from a collection agency I was not informed that I had a balance since zero copay I wasn't looking for it. It would be the last charge for his CPAP machine. I just checked our credit card statement today we were charged again double I called and now they're telling me that was the last charge. I asked them to remove the card completely from his account. They told me they can't give me any confirmation. I asked if I was on a recorded line and asked to her to confirm that the card was removed. She went completely silent and wouldn't talk. I told her regardless of her not talking it is on a recorded line, and if they charge me again, I will pursue fraudulent charges against the company. She wouldn't state her name. This company is a nightmare. The 800 number operator is very good and try to solve your problem. In 2 weeks I called them more than 20 times, they treat your problems like you are losing your memory and are uneducated. I tried to fill small canisters and one wouldn't fill after many phone calls and me telling them from day one that it was bad they finally brought me a new one. Called 5 times and was told 5 different things. Told the delivery was attempted (no phone call was ever made to me) and a hang tag was left at the door. On the 5th call, dispatch told me they were no more than 15 minutes away. Waited over an hour at my friends house. No one came and there was no hang tag. I'd been using a 3+ year old cpap mask and cushion, it worked fine but the seal wasn't great, so when we finally met our insurance deductible, I went shopping for a new mask. Medcare got me in quickly and I was able to try on 5 different masks. I got the new Respironics Amara View and love it. I'd been having neck pain for a while and it was great to solve both problems at the same time. We had a glitch with our insurance but Gary handled that with one phone call.
