Primarily a review of management of the office. Caregivers were very personable My huge problem is that they have locked all my files from 2 months ago due to a new computer system. I waited 2 days to talk to a manager who just blew me off and said I need to call records which says it will take a month to get them or you have to go sign into some sort of website and maybe get them then if you can navigate yet another app or website. Additionally They gave me 2 referrals in may and both doctors can't see me until sept/oct. I also in july went there for a badly scun up knee due to a fall. I called first signed in online made appt spent 15 min filling it all out. My open wound was not treated for at least an hour after the appt time i had made an hour before that. They had no antibiotic ointment. They did bandage me well with saline and call in an rx for antibioticointment so i had to rebandage poorly with putchased stuff. I can't wrap things worth a d@mn. I won't be going back here again. I will see if we have a WVU based urgent care here instead. Not on love with the WVU monopoly but I'm so infuriated with these people. Such a shame. read more

0/5 Star Rating. Coming from a healthcare professional, the only thing this clinic is concerned about is pushing pills and paying bills -- with your money! I have walked out numerous of times from disrespect from the checkin staff and from waiting in an exam room for over 90 minutes. MedExpress, is known as the "Trash of Urgent Care", and I unfortunately am hear to agree with such. I'd urge any and all to seek medical assistance elsewhere. My daughter has been there 3 times in past 6 months. First time for an abscess behind her ear lobe , which they gave her such strong antibiotics that she ended up with a severe infection. She went back for the infection & they gave her more antibiotics . When she returned home our normal doctor couldn't believe what this place did and she ended up getting a topical cream for the infection. Recently she went for a bad sore throat & they ran a whole bunch of expensive tests, including a syphilis test and the girl had never had sex (she said she even told them). All the tests came back negative & still no answer about her sore throat They are quite unprofessional . On one of her visits they forgot about her (that she was even in the room waiting). Obviously they take advantage of young adults who neglect to ask questions. No apologies /responsibility taken for their part. Please avoid !!! read more

I was seen there for an intensely itchy rash. They offered great care and friendly, professional help and I was treated quickly and got all I needed. Was super thankful and would return there for issues that come up and would recommend others go there for care. I was also blessed by them playing a Christian song that I recognized! We've been to the MedExpress on Emily Drive eight times in the last seven years. Two of those times the treatment was ineffective and we had to seek help elsewhere. Six times they were spot on with both diagnosis and treatment and we had no further issues. We find the staff to be more polite and knowledgeable than many of the other local urgent care and hospital options in the area. They're my first choice if we have an urgent medical issue and can't drive all the way up to Cleveland Clinic. read more

Poorest medical service ever. You have to call from the parking lot to register. I called repeatedly before someone finally answered on the 33rd call. They asked if I had chest pains or shortness of breath and when I said no THEY HUNG UP ON ME!!!!! I finally got thru again on call 36. They took 5 mins to gather pre-registration information then told me someone would contact me to finish registering and I'd see a doctor when they're available. I asked how long that might be and she said over an hour. I arrived when they opened at 8 AM. You call this Urgent Care!?!?! Are you serious???? I called this express care facility to see if I could get testing for COVID just to be on the safe side since I was notified I needed to test because of a work situation ... the female representative that answered asked me in a hurriedly voice if I had this or that... once I figured out what she asked I could answer. This didn't upset me , it was her irritated and impatient voice and tone when I asked the proper manner and procedure to follow if I came to their facility for testing. She half answered only by me continuing to ask her questions to get the needed information. She was rude and hung up the phone before I could even thank her for the "help" . I had heard this facility on Emily Drive, Bridgeport had very poor service but I usually try to go by my own experiences. Well... wont be using this facility nor will I recommend to any family or friend. I hope the workers here could just be nice. Even on the phone? Is it that hard? I know it's stressful. I sustained an extreme laceration to my knee. I conveyed this to the receptionist at check -in and to the next one who did my HIPA forms. I waited 40 minutes before being called back. I asked the nurse why so long a wait when the place was not busy, she replied, "We didn't know you were out there. The front people didn't tell us. We usually send someone out to look at the wound." (That's what a normal person would think.) After that she immediately took me to a room. The PA came in and immediately sutured up my knee. The nurse and the doctor's were great! I filed a complaint so hopefully that problem would be addressed and not happen to the next patient/patient's? After filing the complaint about the receptionist's not following their own protocol at the Emily Drive Location in Clarksburg WV, David Hefner DO, sent me a letter banning me from their facilities with no explanation. Mr. Hefner returned my call this morning. Since I was banned from the facility I had to get my stitches removed at my local physician's as he told me they would not remove them. What started out as a shout out to the facility turned ugly for me. He said after reviewing my complaint, "The staff were uncomfortable with treating me." I have been going to med express for 30+ years, before it was bought out by numerous conglomerates, but the same facility in my area. I have taken my son there his whole life. He is now 25. I was there in February of 2018 for an upper respiratory infection. I was there in July for a work related injury. Why now I ask is the staff uncomfortable treating me? I wasn't looking to sue them? I was shown no compassion, understanding, or caring from this David Hefner, DO. A reasonable person could/would assume that it was because of my complaint and them not wanting to admit to doing anything wrong? I hope through my bad experience that their protocol is improved for future trauma patients. read more

My daughter's neck was swollen and had various lumps in her lymph nodes. When I arrived, I asked if blood work could be done at their facility, they confirmed it could. Our wait time was 2 hours. The dr. walked in and looked at her neck then proceeded to ask us to come back in the morning for blood work. She said they had already left and that it would take two additional days to get the results. I told the Dr. I wanted my 50.00 co-pay back and I was taking her to the ER. She said she would call me in a couple of days because she was interested in seeing what the diagnosis was. I have not received my co-pay back. They said they were putting a hold on the account and not billing the insurance. But I received verification they billed my insurance 240.00 for nothing. Very disappointed with the service. read more
