A day pass is $8.00 and is good till 10:00PM (you can leave and come back). They give you a map as well. You can drive the whole thing and see a lot from your car. There's also plenty of pull-offs for picture opportunities. For ones that like hiking, there's plenty of that there. I'm not big into hiking, and I also didn't pack to do so. Lol. There is cave you see from the road, and if you want you can do a short hike to it. I wasn't on planning really hiking anywhere but this was short enough. Easy to get up, going down you have to be a lil careful. Good place for pictures too. Camping ground are available too. Anyways, if you're in town visiting or never have been there, I definitely recommend it!

There are public restrooms, plenty of trash cans, both paved and gravel walkways for people who want to walk or jog or bike, occasional benches to sit on if you get tired and it's probably very pretty in summer. When I took my pictures it was February so it was pretty barren. The park is a decent-size taking up a whole city block.

There is a splash pad (closed for the season) and a large playground. For me, the main thing I appreciated was the walking path that goes partially through the park. As a single mother I wish that they had family locker rooms like I have seen at other high end gyms. My 3 year old son and I were going to the pool on a Sunday so the kid area was closed. I got reprimanded by an employee for having my toddler in the woman's dressing room with me. With no place else for us to go change together that kinda seemed unreasonable.

There's lots of space for children and dogs to run around and probably a good place for Walkers and runners to get some exercise. There are picnic tables and trash cans and it looked like there was a fountain but I forgot to walk over to it and check it out. If it is, it wasn't running when I was there. There are plenty of shade trees. I was there during the day time so I don't know whether it is considered safe at night.

There is plenty of open space for kids to run around and there were places for parents to sit nearby where you can watch your kiddos play. The only issue we had and it was a big one, is that the bathrooms were a nightmare. I am not exaggerating when I say that they looked like they came out of a post-apocalyptic video game. My kids, who are but neat-freaks by any definition would not even go in. In fact, my son opted to leave the park entirely and go find another public restroom rather than to use this one. There was poop smeared on the floors, toilet paper and it looks like it hadn't been cleaned since Davy Crockett had been in Texas.

A section of garden vegetables, an indoor humid tropical section, and then multiple regions of dry air, desert canyon along with lush vegetation and flowers in other sections.
