For Tirzepatide at least for the four highest dosages (8.75-15.0 mg), they charge more for the non-approved compounded Tirzepatide than Lilly charges on their website direct to patients for Zepbound. Also, they make it hard to fill prescriptions. I use Walgreens pharmacy, and Walgreens did not have the correct fax number for them. Apparently they don't put it on the prescription. (Lilly's direct pay price is $499; the provider needs to directly send the script to the Lilly Direct Pharmacy. Medi-Weightloss resists this as well.) I would call Medi-Weightloss a sinking ship at this point. They do not have their patients best interest in mind. read more

My third visit. Scheduled appointment at 11:30 am and I waited 40 minutes and was never seen. I provided a urine in the bathroom and when i opened cabinet there was all these urine samples sitting around. Not impressed so far. They rescheduled me for next week appointment. Hope I won't Sit for an hour just to weigh in. Looks like I got roped in and special treatment my first day and now it's just whatever! Right now I wish I hadn't joined. Hoping it gets better because last few visits I've had to wait a long time for what should be a quick in and out. Very disappointing weight loss journey for me so far. TI had my second appointment at this place, but I don't think I want to return. The clinic was quite dirty and the first thing they asked me to do was to leave a urine sample, which I found to be very unhygienic and disgusting as there were over 15 jars of urine in the bathroom. Then, I was taken to a room for a "diet" review. They gave me 15+ pages of PDFs, including a shopping list, a food scale, a food journal, and an overview of how to calculate protein. The whole methodology seemed outdated, dating back to 20 years ago. They offered me a shot or vitamin booster, but I didn't want to risk putting anything from that place in my body. When I asked about the ingredients in the booster, the staff referred me to a laminated PDF on the table, which didn't provide any helpful information. I have a mango allergy, so I wanted to know what was in it before taking any. The lack of knowledge from the staff was frustrating. Halfway through the presentation, I told the lady that this program wasn't for me, but she continued to push her presentation. When I left, they gave me a goodie bag of vitamins and protein powders that I had already paid for, and again, I declined to schedule a third appointment as this program wasn't for me. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found that the electrolyte packets they gave me were Peach/Mango flavored, which I'm allergic to. It's disappointing that Medi Weight Loss doesn't take their clients' health seriously. read more

My experience here was just ok. I bought their Yelp promotion and they also have the 20% off first time check in offer on Yelp as well. My first visit went rather well, I went through all the initial testing and injections. But when I went to check out, the receptionist/nutritionist was rather put off that I presented so many discounts. I guess my advice on that is if you don't want to discount your services, then don't put the offer out there.... I only went for two more weeks and am now just dieting on my own. It is VERY expensive for the services that at least I was provided. Both follow up appointments lasted no more than 15 minutes and they charge $70 a week, $85 if you want an extra vitamin injection. Each week I got a shot (or two if I wanted to pay more) and a "nutritionist" came in and asked how things were going. They then gave me a handout and a brief overview of what i could eat and sent me on my way. Perception of value on this is not worth $70 or $85 a week. It has been two weeks since my last visit. No one has called to see if I was still following their program or if i was ever coming back. I found one nutritionist to be warm and caring, while the other seemed put out and cold. I went to Medi with a goal of losing 10-15 pounds that I couldn't lose with just exercise alone. The counselors were very kind and knowledgeable about how the diet would work to achieve my goals. I did not qualify for the prescription strength appetite surpresent so I took the herbal appetite surpresent in its place. In my first week I dropped 6 pounds. My second week I dropped another 3 pounds. Then in the third week not only did I drop another 2 pounds but I also dropped my blood pressure by 20 points. I have achieved my goals of losing 15 pounds and dropping my blood pressure. Medi has retrained me on how to select the food that I eat and how often I eat durring the day. I have been off the restrictive diet for two months now and I have not gained any weight back. I can thank Medi for making me healthier and changing my lifestyle which will add years to my life. Expensive but it works. Lost 45 pounds and regained some self esteem that I'd long lost. I was able to use my flex spending account funds for office visit fees, so that helped. Lifestyle change, not a fad diet. I did gain back some weight (about 10 pounds) after financial issues made me quit going to the clinic weekly, but 100% my own fault. Can't resume eating like a pig and expect to stay thin. I'll be back for the last 30 pounds. read more

I went for 2 months and only lost weight the first 2 weeks. First of all, it is a starvation diet. After I stopped going I gained back half the weight I lost within a couple of weeks. Second, I like to exercise and my goal was to be fit & healthy. The counselors did not know how to get me to lose fat along with my exercise plan. They had me eating 700 calories a day of meat- that is extreme & unhealthy. I was hungry, not losing weight, and not getting the help/counseling I really needed. They pump you full of drugs, starve you, & get $70 a week to do it. The plan ruined my metabolism. If you are concerned about long term health and maintaining a stable weight, (i.e. lifestyle change) try something else. read more

I began the Medi-Weight Loss Program on January 10, 2014 & in just 3 weeks I've lost 17.5 pounds!! For the first time in my life I do not feel like I'm on a "diet" as I"m never hungry and eat regular food. I don't take any of the appetite suppressants offerred as I don't want a "crutch" to help me lose weight. I only take vitamins and the bi-weekly B vitamin injections. The first week of the program is challenging as you remove excess carbs in your diet and your body adjusts to this change. if you are a heavy carb eater as I was, you'll feel really terrible the first week, but after that, you'lI feel great. One recommendation I would make for anyone seriously interested in joining--be honest about any pre-existing health conditions and be prepared to follow what the nutritionist and doctor recommend to do. Most importantly, don't take your calories, protien or carbs lower than recommended in hope of "losing weight faster" as you will lose without drastic measures such as these. I read one of the reviews about this plan being a heavy meat eating plan and writervdidn't lose weight--wrong! I am a vegetarian and don't eat red meat, fish and many other items that are recommended on this plan. However, I provided the nutritionist with a list of foods I ate (since it is so limited) and she helped me devise a plan that is working. I am so happy that I found Medi weight loss and even though it is a bit expensive, I look at it as an investment in myself and better long-term health. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff at the Winter Park Center and how helpful, kind, professional and supportive they have been. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is in good health and doesn't want their extra weight to hurt their long-term health. We live an hour away from the office and scheduled a "Telehealth" visit which means you drive to their parking lot and they call you and bring out medicine so it's really not Telehealth. They say they offer Telehealth, but you still have to drive there. We drive an hour only to find out once we are there that we MUST come inside to the office to do a urine test. We have an immunocompromised child at home which is the whole reason we scheduled it Telehealth!! I sat outside in my car waiting to be called and watched at least 5-6 people walk in and out with no masks on which is now a requirement in Orange County! Very disappointed in a misleading Telehealth visit and a requirement to come inside a building where people are not wear masks and we would have to use a public bathroom! They need to be more upfront with how their appointments work and also let people know they are requiring you to come inside during this time so you can decide what you would like to do before driving an hour to the office!
