I ordered a new keyboard, looked at a youtube repair video, and realized that I was completely out of my depth. I took it to Wolfie who deftly disassembled the entire machine, discovered that I had the wrong keyboard, then built up a replacement with pieces from the old and new keyboards. This involved careful work on plastic pieces. The result has worked great now for a couple of weeks. I give Wolfie my highest recommendation.

Communication was off and on, but that's to be expected when chatting through a third party like…read morethe Yelp app. Once we hooked up, Wolfie(?) was concise and accurate about his pricing and the work I requested. It went well and I had my screen replaced in about an hour. This was on a foreign phone (Oppo Find N5, a fold phone not sold in the US) that 3 other shops declined to work on. Pricing was good also, so I give this repair service an AAA+++ rating.

Lucky for me, Google brought Steve's company up and because he had such a good rating, I gave him a call. Steve thought the new motherboard would take a week to order/arrive but it was here in 4 days & he came over the day he got it and got my PC back up and running! His labor was $180 (2 hours/2 trips to my house) & the motherboard was $100. That was a small price to pay for him to be able to save all the work, photos, music, movies I had on my hard drive! If you ever think your computer has burned out & died, call Steve before buying a new one and starting everything (re-installing everything & re-doing tons of work) over.

I'm obsessed with this place. Any stationary nerd's dream of a store. There's so many things to…read morelook at and sift through. I love their selection of cards including ones that their own letterpress designed. The fountain pen selection is robust. They also carry brands that are usually harder to find in stores like some really fabulous Japanese brands (hibonichi, midori, etc).
