Jean is literally my hero. I visited back in the fall to get Botox and we spoke briefly about my "mascne" issue. Jean recommended laser genesis and naturally, I went home and thought, I have never had bad skin, I can make this go away. Well, months later it had gotten so much worse. My 6 yr old niece asked why I had pasta sauce on my face....it was just the mascne. Gotta love kids. I went back to Jean and already after one session, my skin is showing so much improvement! She was honest about her recommendation for timing between sessions and eventually what an upkeep session would be vs the initial attack. I'm actually really surprised by the 2-star review. Jean Borelli is one of the best medical estheticians I've ever been to. Her background and education are so important in providing the level of consistency and care. I have had several treatments at her office, including glycolic peel, SilkPeel Dermalinfusion, and the always satisfying Laser Genesis treatment. Jean's committment and quality are evident and she is an absolute hoot and joy to work with. Her services are available by appointment only, but she is accomodating and has a very friendly, approachable work sense. She really understands the provider-patient relationship. Her prices are very reasonable, her motto to make it affordable to the average person. Unlike many spas downtown that tout crazy good results and a heavy penalty on the pocketbook, Jean Borelli and Medical Aesthetics, Ltd. actually deliver at a fraction of the cost. Absolutely love this place. When I'm feeling like I need a little rejuvenation, I pick up the phone and call Jean. I love going here, this place has a warm, homey feel and Jean will give you just what you need. Jean Borrelli RN, APN, is an advanced practice nurse with excellent skills and qualifications. She is by far the best aesthetician in the area and founded Medical Aesthetics in Edison Park. She knows all about skin care, skin rejuvenation, Botox, fillers, hair removal, Micro dermabrasion and laser treatments. Ladies when I tell you you will look and feel fabulous after going to medical aesthetics. I do!!! After going somewhere else for laser-hair removal, the tech was astonished at the fact that practically all my hair grew back after six sessions (and thousands of dollars!) Apparently, a lot depends on the type of laser that is used. Medical Aesthetics uses IPL which is the cheapest and least effective. Don't waste your money and ask questions. read more

I went here for a silk peel, and I did not like it at all. It was not a pleasant experience, and I did not see any improvement in my skin.

I have been going to Jean over a year and have been satisfied EVERY time! Ihave had Botox and the way she injects it is comparable to a browlift. The Silkpeel was painless, and she is very adept with fillers. I'm sorry some people had a bad experience but I am sure she would do her best to rectify the problem. She doesn't push procedeures on you that you don"t need (like some other establishments), her prices are very reasonable and she has the greates sense of humor! read more
