I stumbled upon Sono Bella clinic on Groupon. I saw they had great reviews, so I decided to book a microderm appointment. I was very happy with my treatment. They are also very friendly & professional. Plus they gave me a game plan to further improve my acne scars. In total I did 1 chem peeling 6 laser treatments for my acne scars. I'm very happy with my results, I can see the difference in my pictures, I feel more confident. I'm looking forward to getting more services with them in the future. read more

I've been coming to this salon for years, prior to Covid, and considered it to be reputable and professional to an extend that I've recommended this place to my friends (many of whom did buy service packages). However, over the years it has gone down in terms of their customer service and professionalism of their staff members. One of my latest experiences was purchasing a photofacial package for 3 sessions, not using it all at once and them "taking away one of the three because the service cost on that procedure has gone up". More so, when I asked about it, the receptionist lied and claimed I've forgotten I've used it (I have a phone app that tracks my appointments so, i know for a fact that I "didn't forget". Basically, they took money for 3 services upfront, then later decided they should provide only 2 services and concealed that from me by lying. Not only I am never going back, I also told all my friends about this. Terrible customer service. I had booked an appointment for today and was told i would get a confirmation text if i was unable to make it 24 hour in advance I could cancel no problem. I didn't get a text or call and I assumed it was because of thanksgiving break. Today they call me before my scheduled appt saying they will charge me late fee but only $50 dollars as a courtesy ... I sent them screenshot I never received their text. I told them last time someone contacted me making sure I confirmed so that was what i was expecting. They say they left a voicemail ... i don't have it. I told them this was not fair because 1. I never got a text confirming or appt card reminding me of what the lady last week scheduled me for not the promised 24 hour confirmation text. I gave them my credit card to charge me the late fee as I will never be setting foot in this establishment. She willingly took my credit card info instead of understanding the situation . Hope that 100 was worth the loss of a customer and this review. I hope everyone avoids booking here , so sad. There are much nice places that don't look to make a quick buck off of you. read more

I have Been here many times and unfortunately I will never be back. About a month ago I came in for fat laser reduction for my upper arms. When the technician put the machine on me I was in excruciating pain to the point I told her to stop it immediately she looked Kinda annoyed and said "its going to hurt but if we stop it the clinic gets charged" I had nooo idea what that means but I don't care lol and I just left. Very unprofessional of her to act like that. I asked my friend In another state who works at a medspa if the same procedure is supposed to hurt like that she said no it's very tolerable and no one really complains. I was introduced to this place by receiving a gift for a facial. It was more medical than a relaxing spa like but they did a great job. So I decided to sign up for their special promotion "6 X VELASHAPE - 30 MIN". Had a consultation and they said I needed an hour instead of 30 minutes which jacked up the price big time. Fast-forward to my third to last appointment, I had a young girl work on me that did not have the proper training! She burned me multiple times, forgot products and even the towel left under me when she moved to the other side, could not handle the machine properly so it did not do what it was intended for. I felt uncomfortable to say something to the receptionist since she was standing next to her. So at the next appointment I said something. The receptionist was nice and relayed the information to the manager/owner. I received a text a few days later so I responded that I was open to a conversation and they can call me anytime. I did not receive that call. On my last appointment I saw the manager and had mentioned I had one bad experience. She looked at my chart and brushed it off like it was nothing important. This was an EXPENSIVE procedure and I lost one session over an unexperienced employee! I went home feeling terrible and quickly realized that I was scammed because they took a before photo of me but never an after photo?! Fast forward a few weeks/months I see no difference and if anything it looks worse. I do not want to be contacted now nor will I step foot back into this place. read more

Made a short notice appointment yesterday for today around noon and unfortunately was informed i needed to work through my lunch so I was going to have to reschedule my appointment. Because my appointment was made less than 24hrs I couldn't cancel without a $50 fee. The receptionist I spoke with said she would see if the manager could bypass the fee but it's unlikely and she isn't in yet and I felt very uneasy about this solution. She offered to push my appointment to 12:30 which I appreciated! Upon arrival Irina ran over to me and got me into a room - she was super sweet and helped me get my chemical peel quickly without compromising the quality. Absolutely impressed by how great Sono Bella is. Both floors are exceptionally clean, the front desk has someone always there, they are quick to get your jacket & hang it up for you followed by a tour of the building and great description of the treatments they do. I started out with laser hair removal. I got an amazing deal that was less expensive than anything offered through a Groupon. Karolina was fantastic, making sure I was okay with the intensity of the laser, as well as, having me feeling comfortable. All my questions were answered and I left feeling exceptionally happy. I also visited for a microdermabrasion facial, which I got for free in an email sent out for a Valentine's Day promotion. The young lady who did it, gave great tips on how to correct certain issues on my face, as well as advised on other treatments I could get. This review is long overdue. I've been going to Sono Bella for years now, and it all started with one small area that I wanted to get lasered and now I'm getting basically my entire body done. Monica is my usual esthetician and is such a pleasure to be around (even when things may be a little uncomfortable, she is so patient and understanding and makes the whole experience a breeze). The gals up front are also super friendly and helpful. Whenever I call to make an appointment or go in for an appointment they are full of good energy and offer the best service. The rooms are spotless and decorated in warm colors, with soothing music playing, I sometimes fall asleep when getting my treatments. Also, I was never huge on facials, but am really starting to be thanks to the incredible job they do. Phenomenal. The staff was extremely polite and professional. I bought a groupon for one microdermabrasion session and was able to redeem it within 24 hours. I sent an email to the staff and they responded within hours to schedule an appointment for the following day. I went there with a deal from living social.com (Microdermabrasion for $49). Problem 1 -- Painful Microdermabrasion . It was the most painful facial I've ever had. I have a higher pain tolerance (I'm fine with needles or laser treatments ), but for this, I had tear running down my face. I asked my friends who had Microdermabrasion done at other places but they said it wasn't that painful to them. Problem 2 -- Short timing the service I was in the room only for 15 min and was told that it was over (I was glad it was because it was so painful). They spent last 5 min trying to sell me their products. Problem 3 -- Wrong service After the service, I asked the front desk girl for the total so that I could tip on the pre-discounted amount. I was told that I received $60 worth service. I was a bit confused because I thought the deal was for higher amount (unfortunately, it's been a while since I purchased the deal and my memory was vague). I came home and reviewed the terms on the deal again. I found out I actually paid $49 for $120 value Microdermabrasion service. Problem 4 -- Bad customer service I called the Spa and explained the situation. Instead of trying to talk to the people and find out what actually happened, the girl was insisting that the 15min service was actually worth $120. It's the pricing on their brochure 30 min Microdermabrasion $60 75min Facial with Microdermabrasion $110 And she is saying that the 15min session is worth $120 because they used a better material? I would believe if it was Peninsula Hotel that charges $120 for 15min service, but not here. If she admitted that they gave me $60 service instead of $120 by mistake, I would have just let it go. I just can't believe I paid $49 +$10 tip for 15min painful microdermabrasion facial. Never going back to this place again. read more

I've seen "deals" from this place all over. I finally caved and bought one - only to find that they had pulled the old bait and switch. I bought a photofacial session. When I got there, they told me it was only one pulse. ONE? To put it in perspective, I've had this service before at other places. Typically, on my face, I get anywhere from 25-30 pulses. I see great results too. So, you can imagine the shock I got when I arrived there to find out that my $109 covered only "one pulse" - but they would be happy to do my entire face (the 25-30 pulses) for $300. I found this spa through an online deal for laser hair removal. The hair removal was pretty standard (6 sessions) with good results, but in my experience, you need touch ups with any hair removal, so don't expect all hair to be gone in just 6 sessions. When I started going there they were at their prior location just down the street, then they moved into a bigger beautiful 2 story space. I have to say the new space is gorgeous! They offer a bunch of unique treatments, like cellulite reduction and ultraviolet sauna as well as standard services like nails and facials. While getting lasered, I was offered a package deal for their weight loss sauna and so I splurged for it before my brother's wedding. I haven't seen weight loss from using the sauna, but they give you the most heavenly facial massage while you are "cooking" in there, so it is relaxing nonetheless. I would probably have better results with diet and exercise, but the sauna hour is a nice break, so I keep going. I will definitely be back to try more treatments! read more

I am east Indian giy that went for a consultation. Long story short, I had to get a second package of 6 sessions for my full arm and back. After total 12 sessions, my hair continued to grow back at the 2 month mark and I was told the same thing over and over, we can't guarantee. I was told the laser was top of the line and painless. I ended up moving out of state and went to another clinic which told me the pros and cons to the ice machine vs the one they used. Long story short, after one session in the new location, I haven't had anything grow back after 3 months. The could've been the impact of the many I did at sona Bella but it's hard to believe. They also burnt my tatto line which they did give me a free session but overall very disappointed with the results. I wouldn't recommend. This also has nothing to do with covid. I spent approximately 3k still kept coming back every couple months. Owner is ver nice, and staff is great minus the one that burnt my tatto and denied. read more

Best Foto facial ever! It seems like such a simple procedure, but all foto facials are not the same! The results are amazing...all my brown spots, redness and skin discoloration gone!!! There is no down time, but your flaws are brought to the surface so don't do this before a big night out or event. Within a week all my dark spots flaked right off. My skin looks tighter and my pores are no longer visible. Don't let the other salons or med spas with their IPL specials fool you, all foto facials are not the same and Sonna Bella has great technology that works. My husband did it too, he was such a skeptic but was willing to try something for his "freckles" aka sun damage. His results were even more amazing since he has never had one. Beautiful, modern interior and nice atmosphere, the girls that wok there were really pleasant and attentive. The solo bed is really good and you sweat out almost two pounds of water weight while you get a relaxing massage for your face and shoulders. Make sure to drink a lot of water before and after. I also got Vella treatments, which I hoped would work better than the results I got so I'm not the happiest with that. They have an open house from time to time so make sure to check that out and you might get a deal on some treatments along with free little facial the same day. read more

I got a deal from this place from Groupon. I was running late and forgot my coupon, so in their defense they may not have been sure exactly what I had signed up for. Except that I kept telling them that I had purchased it from Groupon. The woman started asking me a lot of questions about what kind of treatment I wanted. I was very specific, I wanted to use this coupon for laser hair removal on the bikini line. She immediately tried to convince me that I should try it in other places and that I had a really good deal so that I should take advantage of it. I didn't have to decide today, just let her price it out and I could decide later. She comes back 10 minutes later and tells me it is $1490 for 3 treatments, including the one I had requested. I had purchased a $99 deal from Groupon. She then proceeds to try to sell me on a credit card I could use to finance the treatments with. I told her no, not today, I just wanted the bikini line treatment. She immediately starts pressuring me to purchase the more expensive package and asks me why I don't think I can afford this. I explained to her that I thought I was purchasing a $99 package and I wasn't going to buy a $1490 package from her today. I then I told her I was leaving and would reschedule. She left and brought the manager back in. I told her the same thing, got dressed and left. I will never go back there. I purchased a Laser Hair removal package from Sono Bella several months ago, I have had 4 treatments with them so far for underarms. I had previously had laser hair removal at a different Medspa, so I am able to make the comparision (however it was for the bikini line). Not that the treatment at the other MedSpa was bad, it was much different. It seems like after 6 treatments at the MedSpa, I should have had a little better results since I am a near 'perfect' candidate for laser hair removal, fair skinned and dark brown hair. First, whenever receiving laser hair removal, the area must be shaven/ not waxed, so that the laser finds the folicle to destroy it. If too much of the hair is grown out, the laser can burn the hair AND the skin around the folicle. As another reviewer said, they dryshaved her, well, that also happened to me because I missed a spot when I showered earlier that day. I had no pain or cuts from the dry shaving, but it was a tiny patch. I thought that it would hurt more, but it did not. When I recieved the treatment, it was very mild pain and actually held a conversation with the esthetician performing the removal. After that first treatment, my regrowth of hair was amazingly fine, and took a long time to grow back. At the other Medspa, my initial treatment was like a rubberband being snapped on my skin repeatively and hurt much more. The hair grew back at about the same thinkness as it always had been (although a different area on the body was treated) It seemed like Sono has a more advanced laser, different from the MedSpa treatment I received previously. Sono has 2 different lasers for hair removal. They alternated lasers with my treatments, than asked me upon my next visit which one, in my opinion had the better results, since everyone's hair is unique and responds differently. I liked that they wanted to really make my hair disappear for good! I notice that the hair that does grow back is much finer and I really do not notice that 'five o'clock shadow' from shaving my underarms. I am a fitness instructor and I am very aware of my appearance to look clean, especially when people are looking at my armpits! I have more treatments to go, but so far so good! As far as the business, everyone was friendly and professional, from the receptionist to the esthetician. They always seem to have a sweet treat and offer you coffee or water upon arrival. I had no problem getting an appointment or subsequent ones. I am very happy with my results from Sono, they have many services to choose from. I would like to try a facial or some of the other services that they offer. I would recommend them for laser hair removal and later, I hope to also recommend some of their other services. read more
