I only called to get information and the receptionist, Agiee or Aygee? She's an air head. Not knowledgeable in laser vs electrolysis. It states on the website they offer electrolysis and she flat out said "I'm not familiar with that procedure." She then tried to proceed to book me in for an appointment when I haven't even discussed pricing or options or anything? I told her hold on, can I speak with someone about pricing and options? She caught attitude with me and proceeded to tell me she's the receptionist. That's great! But I think you should do a little research on your company before answering that phone again. After that experience, I was ready for facial treatments; hidrafacial is my to-go treatment. I swear by it! My mixed and sensitive skin gave me problems for years.. I've been going to Maderma Medspa for 4+ years. They are doctors who take excellent care of your skin. I go for regular facials. They have a unique approach that works perfectly for me. I know they travel all throughout the world studying best practices and developing top equipment. They offer many treatments. I've also done laser hair removal and the results were phenomenal. Go there - talk to them - they'll set you up with a treatment plan. The plan will work better than promised (i.e. laser hair removal they say you need 6 treatments and you end up only needing 3) and their prices are great. They are extremely popular on Groupon. Poor customer service! I arrived early, 15 mins prior to appointment and was not greeted or addressed....actually the receptionist was busy chatting with a colleague as I could see them just behind a wall. Then after being late the esthetician had been double booked and two of us were waiting! She asked who she could take first(both quick procedures) and we both had work to be at. Purchasing a laser hair removal Groupon had me nervous as I was unsure of how this worked, what was needed and most importantly if this involved a lot of pain like waxing! Working with Aster, who is wonderful, she explained the process, went over the steps, and when going through the procedure ensured that I am ok throughout the process. While I received an amazing eyebrow wax, my Brazilian wax did not go as well... The Brazilian wax was rushed and much more painful than usual. I left feeling very raw and with a few patches of hair still intact. I felt very itchy for the days that followed and ended up developing a staph infection in the area where my wax was. According to my doctor, my wax is the leading cause for my bacterial staph infection, which I am now on antibiotics for as the infection spread to the other wax areas. This place was awful and extremely unprofessional! I had an appointment scheduled, and wasn't seen until an hour later. While I was waiting to be seen, the receptionist was getting massaged at the front desk by, who I think was a manager, or just some man that works there. The receptionist and an esthetician were guessing my ethnicity in Spanish- I don't think they realized I understand Spanish. The woman who did my Brazilian (I forgot her name, and no none gave it to me, including herself) was really nice, and apologized for my long wait. However, she didn't do a good job with my wax- I had to point out, several times, the areas that still had hair. When I got home, there were still so many areas that were missed. Not sure how to feel about the place. I bought the Groupon for Moroccan Oil Deep conditioning treatment and a haircut with a blow dry.. Needless to say, I was refused the conditioning treatment because my hair are too fine and thin (what?!). Blow dry was a bit too harsh and in general was overdone - I felt like she was trying to pull all of my hair out (with the strong hold hair spray on, it was a disaster). The end style was "babushka" from 80's, and I had to fix it in the car myself before getting anywhere. Not sure what was the reason for this kind of service - a personal issue or bare unprofessionalism and absence of style, maybe. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place. read more

Horrible experience with HAIR TRANSPLANT. I can't believe I fell for Dr.Harb's sales tactics and lies and got ripped off. I was not even bald and only part of my hair was thinning. Dr.Harb convinced me to get a hair transplant saying I would get thicker hair back in 3 to 6 months. After a few months, I saw the transplanted area was worse than before the transplant, I had bad headaches for several months, and the transplanted area was super sensitive with sharp hair for more than a year, and they also planted hair in the wrong direction in front. Whenever I called, Dr.Harb kept saying wait for a few more months to see the final results or get more transplants, and I did not see any improvement even after 16 months. His facility is outdated and the technicians kept asking for better lighting, I should have stopped the procedure here and saved myself from this horror story. So uneven, extremely choppy and there were very short strands with long ones. Just terrible and I don't think that's the right word to use to describe how bad it was. *Do not bother with this place* Maderma Medspa Glenview, IL If i could have given No Star I would. I wanted to take advantage of a Groupon deal, so I made a 10:30am appointment. I arrived a little early incase I needed to fill out some paperwork but nothing was handed to me so, I sat in lobby area. At 10:30am (my appointment time) the receptionist is now handing me paper work, at about 11am...30min past my appt time she has me go into the room Dr Harb will see me. She has yet to explain why 30min past my appointment & still no sign of Dr Harb. It's now 11:15am I've given up on waiting. I have other errands lined up so I asked the receptionist for my paperwork and tell her "It's now 45min past my appt time i'm not waiting any longer." she replies "Oh doctor says he's 5min away" so I said when were you planning to tell me he wasn't even here and that he was running late? She says with no shame "I can shred your paperwork" I said I can shred my own paperwork. I advised her that in future she should let the client know if doc is running late or give a heads up so the client will then make the decision whether to Re-scheduling or Wait. As I'm now driving home i get a call. It's Dr Harb apologizing on why he was late and if I wanted to reschedule. I told him, this is no way to run a business I am not interested in Re-scheduling and to advise his receptionist of her error...An Appointment...Is An Appointment for a reason!! read more
