I had Apnea tests, and every test they could think of but no one could understand what was happening. He diagnosed me with Myasthenia gravis and was able to get me proper treatment. He has been taking care of our medical problems with appropriate prescription drugs. He has timely referred me to consult surgical specialist different times which needed surgical intervention. Also referred both of us at different times to University Cardiologist for consultations. All the Surgeons, Physicians, Nurses and other medical personnel we met have high regards for Dr Shakesprere. She began to berate me, repeatedly stating that the doctor does not write scripts for pain medicine or psych meds. I told her 3 times I do not take any medications and did not want any pain or psych meds. This did not stop her tirade. All I needed was an order to have a blood test repeated. I work as an ER nurse and people who act like this, without listening to what the patient is actually there for, give us all a bad name.

She would not accept my passport because it would not fit in their scanner. Explained all the other Drs. make a photocopy and scan the copy. She said it had to be my drivers license. I declined as my id was compromised in 1994 from someone who worked at a Drs. Office. For 30 years I always provide my passport with no issues. I provided other ID to proof who I was and they refused to see me because I would not let them scan my driver's license. I called the Medical Board of West Virginia and they indicated that a passport IS AN ACCEPTABLE FORM OF ID!!!! She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I asked if I needed to bring my driver's license and she said yes. DID NOT RESCHEDULE!!!! It was VERY OBVIOUS who I was and a PASSPORT IS A GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID. JUST BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT FIT YOUR SCANNER IS NOT REASON TO DISCRIMINATE AND REFUSE TO SEE A PATIENT.

Anyways it took 2 hours from the time I can in, until the time I left!!! Moral ic the story, go to an urgent care with x rays available. Oh I waited , 5 days for results... lame!

Too many patients and doctors Hard to build a relationship with your doctor. I always feel like I get lost in the shuffle in this practice. When I first was seen by this office it was by 7 doctors from Harper's Ferry I'm the hospital. The main doctor I saw I've never seen again and I liked him.
