I felt it necessary to post this review to not only write down my frustrations but my concern for future patients at this facility. The patient was my mother, an 86 year old woman on oxygen who could not breathe. Our wait time was over three hours. Fortunately, things weren't severe enough for my mother to be admitted and the doctor said all was well and we were free to go home. Almost. We had to wait another hour just for the nurse to receive the "discharge papers". We were not free to go. I understand. There is a process. I get it. ER's get busy, but a three hour wait with an elderly person in a wheelchair and on oxygen? I have NEVER seen such a disorganized emergency room process. What has happened? This is not the same hospital it was even six months ago.

I have family there and given the difficulty I have had getting an appt (even with the help of my primary care physician locally a relative suggested I try here. The woman said "What kind of insurance do you have?" I said, "United Healtcare. Dr Bailey was listed as 'In Network'." She said "But what kind of insurance do you have?" I said "Other than United Healthcare I don't know what to tell you. I see a Group Number. I see a Member ID. I see 'Choice'." She said "We are not accepting new medicaid patients right now. Is that medicaid?" I said "No I'm not on Medicaid. I have my own business/LLC and this is my company's insurance policy." "What is your primary care physician's name?" I told her his name but explained I didn't live in her region. She said "I will have to transfer you to Sapling Grove since you are a self referral." I was like "OK". So this other woman answers. She asks me the same things about insurance and doctor's name. She said "We are a 100% referral center." I said "Uh. Why is that if you are in my insurance provider as in network. And the other woman who transferred me to you said she was transferring me to you as a 'self referral'. Now you say you don't accept referrals. I'm confused." She said "Please hold". I just hung up. They sound very disorganized and not very accepting of new patients. I think I will just wait it out here in the DC Metro area.

Dr's orders were for 2 weeks of R & R after surgery, but Sharon told my husband I was to do no cooking or cleaning for six months. How great was that? I would not hesitate to return to this facility for any future needs & would highly recommend them to anyone who asked.

I've been going there for a couple of years, and started to…read morereconsider after Dr. Katie Olubowale declined to provide me any type of real pain relief after I had a terrible case of shingles (from having small pox as a child). She treated me as though I hadn't been a patient for years, like I was a junkie attempting to find my next score THROUGH A DOCTOR. Real bright, that one. She was the one that confirmed my shingles in the first place and prescribed me Tylenol. TYLENOL. Shingles are extremely painful, btw. If you haven't yet, I encourage you to get vaccinated for shingles and don't wait until you're 50 like the commercial states! You can get it sooner than that. I arrived at my appointment on time and texted "arrived" as instructed by the text message sent to me, stated as follows: Hi (patient name), please text us "ARRIVED" when you arrive at the facility. Please wait in your car and we will let you know when to come inside. Please remember to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. Only parents and caregivers may accompany patients to their appts. Please arrive at 8:25am and bring all medications with you. I'm not given any further instructions, so I sit in my car and wait for them to let me know when to come inside, as per the texted instructions. I wait and wait until I start getting nervous. I go inside without being told and take a seat. I see patients come and go, and I'm still sitting there.. waiting. After the third patient goes back, I finally ask the receptionist (if you can call her that) why I haven't been seen. Turns out she somehow didn't know I was there, despite my following their text message directions! Apparently, the rest of the patients just ignore the directions and go right on in and up to the window... points for being ignorant of directions, I suppose. At this point I'm fuming, having wasted 45 minutes waiting unnecessarily due to poor instructions. I ask what's taking so long and she replies ""Dr. Katie bumped you down a couple of spots." Wait, WHAT?!? I'm being punished for following THEIR PROTOCOL?!? Unless I have to drive an hour out of my way, I'm done with Twin City Medical and am looking very, very hard for a doctor who has enough common sense to either respect patients that follow clear, laid out instructions even when her staff can't manage to, or can get their staff in line to actually give a crap about patients and their valuable time. I'm so tired of doctors acting like their time is more important than the people they make their living off of.

Did not give reason, just flat out refused to see him for another appointment or nerve block. Staff was nice and his medical assistant was nice enough (or so we thought). Not nice to leave your patient hanging. I hope he never has back pain to the point that he can't walk and his doctor refuse to help him. NOT NICE Dr. Platt, not nice!!!!

My 91 yr old mother with multiple spinal compression fractures was referred to "Dr." Rice to see…read morewhether any surgical procedures could alleviate the excruciating pain in her back that, after 2 months, had just this week begun to dissipate enough to get her into a car and to an appointment. First his morbidly obese, picture-of-health PA enters the room and loudly and arrogantly insists that the only recourse at this point is to inject radioactive materials into my frail mother's body so they can "see" the fractures' age. Then enters young, fit Rice who proceeds to aggressively poke around my mother's fragile back asking her if this hurts and that hurts and then when she says "not really where you're pushing", he then HITS her 91 year old BROKEN back several times with force! She is shocked and too intimidated by doctors to tell him to stop and that it hurts and now she has NEW terrible pain in her back ribs!!! We are too exhausted to make a legal case of this in these last months of her life so I thought I would just warn others that these guys are dangerous and should be avoided.
