Dr. Kozik is so friendly. He takes good care of my son's teeth. My son is very sensitive and visits to the dentist are unusually stressful for him. Medina Pediatric Dentistry makes him feel as comfortable as they can and they are very patient with him. He's not the easiest customer to deal with. We've been visiting for a couple years and will continue to do so. read more

We been a patient with Medina pediatrics for a few years because a convenience to our house. But this is the worst run business ever. I would really consider not putting yourself through the pain and agony of this poor office. No phone calls back. Insurance issues. We finally given up and will not go back ever to this place !!! LOVE the head dentist! But.... Staff at the desk rarely seem in a good mood and I have heard them on multiple occasions talking bad or gossiping about clients who just left or who they were on phone with.... very unprofessional. Supposed to be open until 8pm. Showed up 5 minutes before our appointment at 7pm and their doors were closed...no courtesy call....even after confirming appointment with text in morning. Are they losing business? Even if I was late the doors should still have been open. I'm a little speechless on this one but definitely a red flag. Again we love the head dentist but this last experience was strike three....looking for another dentist. read more

I was referred here by a coworker who has gone here for years with her kids so I brought my 5 year old daughter and the lady at the front was very friendly and had answered all my questions and my daughter for her first time was comfortable getting her check up and even filling out papers for school had no issue. A few months later my daughter complained about gum pain. Mad an appointment and the lady who helped take x-rays was so understanding with my daughter and helped talk to her and made her feel relaxed to have those awful films in her mouth easier to deal with. I am never one to complain ever, I work in the medical field and understand a lot of what they go through! My daughter came here when she was 5 and it was a wonderful experience! Fast forward to 7 and was told she got two cavities which to me wasn't a surprise since she loves sugar ( I know I know) anyways the dentist told that she has two cavities and would need a cap and her baby tooth pulled and suggested to put her under since of her age. Knowing my daughter that was a good idea. Fast forward to a month later 7/13/2019 and it's her surgery day our apt was at 1:30 and was told to come at 1:15 to go over everything we arrived at 1:15 and checked in. The lady at the front desk looked miserable as all can be. Not friendly not welcoming nothing. Mind you as a mom I was a nervous wreck since this was the first time my child would of been Sedated. After an 1 1/2 hours goes by and we haven't been talked to or told anything My child's step farther asked the Receptionist what's going on our daughter is really hungry ( mind you she hasn't had anything to eat since 9pm the prior night) she says I don't know what's taking so long but I guess I'll go see". Excuse me? Is she for real? Her whole attitude was just the worst! Anyways the Anesthesiologists who works in California who flys in to Ohio came out to the waiting room and went over what was going to happen. After saying some things my daughter shouldn't of heard ( things that can possibly happen) my daughter's step mother told him to not say that in front of our daughter!! That's she's already afraid as it is. Then he gave her a shot in her thigh in the waiting room!!! Yes didn't take her in the back in a triage room or another private room. No he gave her the sedative right there in the waiting room didn't even have a band aide for her. After my daughter went to sleep he took her away into the room where they were going to take her tooth and put on ONE cap. After and hour they brought me into a room and carried her in and out her in my arms. They then proceeded to tell me that the bruising on her nose was from a tube and he had an IV. I knew going in that there was a possibility she could have an iv but they would tell me. They never once told me they were going to tube her. Mind you that didn't bother me so much. They told me well she had 8 cavities and we had to cap FOUR NOT ONE FOUR Teeth instead of one. They never once came out to tell me they supposedly found 6 more cavities and they had to cap more. The commutation was awful! The anesthesiologists was rude, not calming, nothing. When I called to just let the office manger know I felt stupid for even calling. Never again! I feel so bad as a mother that I put my child through that!! read more

My kids have been coming here for a while now. We love it and I love that my kids are at ease coming to the dentist. The head dentist always lets me know what is going on and what my kids need to do better on when it comes to their oral hygiene. The hygenist's are always so gentle as well! Staff Sarah and Marian Schust both were very unprofessional and rude. They both were mean and disrespectful, Marian Schust is the office manager and she was worse than Sarah, no customer service and she discriminated against me because of my race. I had the State Dental Board on my phone and she witnessed the disrespect and filed a complaint as well. I hope something is done about this because I was treated unfairly. read more

I wouldn't even honor them with 1 star. In all fairness, the dental hygienists are wonderful with the kids. The two women at the desk are horrible. There is zero customer service. They are rude. They look like they hate their jobs. They gossip about other clients, especially those on Care source. I have witnessed this on several occasions. I have seen them roll their eyes and make snarky comments about each other behind their backs. They were rude to my children. The lady with dark hair even threatened my child that he would have to clean the windows. How dare they. I bit my tongue on several occasions. They told me my child had one cavity. When I scheduled the appointment for the surgery for a cap they said he had 9 cavities. I still don't understand how it went from 1 to 9. That did not make any sense to me. Terrible communication. I was so angry and confused. They got in the middle of my personal problems and spread gossip between myself and the other parent causing problems. I have a court order that only I am allowed to schedule appointments and they went behind my back and scheduled through the other parent. I was blind sided. A friend of mine was an employee and they terribly mistreated her. She couldn't take it any more and had to quit. I have left, my sisters family has left, my other sister has even had major problems with them. They are terrible. They would call me to reschedule on a regular basis and when I was in the waiting room they would constantly talk about how a lot of people don't show up or cancel. I wonder why??!! I was very sad to leave the dentistry but could no longer deal with the two women in the front. They need fired. The place would have a chance with people who actually cared about other people especially their clients, the children. They simply don't care. read more

In the summer of 2014, I was told my child's teeth looked great and there was no need to have x-rays, even though he was at the age when most children start receiving x-rays. Six months later, we returned for the standard follow-up/ cleaning. (Mind you, my son was diligent about brushing his teeth and flossing every night). I was told that he had a whopping 6 cavities and one was very deep. I proceeded with two separate appointments to have the cavities filled. I was told I needed to wait in the waiting room and could not go back with my child even though he was very anxious and wanted me by his side. We made it through the first appointment but it was very long and unpleasant. The second appointment, however, completely traumatized my child. I could hear him crying while sitting in the waiting room. Afterwards, my child said that he was supposed to raise his hand if the pain was too much and he wanted the dentist to stop. He said, "I raised my hand but they wouldn't stop". Long story short, half of the filling fell out, the teeth that received sealants now have cavities, and my child is terrified of dentists. Also, I feel that the staff wasn't 100% forthcoming regarding fees. They said there was a "minimal" difference in cost between white and silver filings when it was approximately $67 difference. Not only do I have a very expensive bill for inadequate dental work done at Medina Pediatric Dentistry, I now have to pay thousands of dollars to a new dentist and anesthesiologist in order to have my child's dental work effectively completed. read more
