Christie is a well educated woman possessing an ability to improve health and quality of life by offering Reiki  energy and restoring balance. She educated me a little to the world of Reiki. She did a session for my dog, Tinky, and myself. She explained what she would do, we would possibly feel and experience. My dog gravitated to her and was very peaceful during her session. I could tell Tinky was getting something out of this besides attention and another belly rub. Chrisite physically detected problems in me in three areas, upper abdomen/chest, right knee and right shoulder which she found required more healing time. She was 100% correct. A day later I did noticed the stiffness and soreness in my shoulder was gone. I had occasional minor discomfort in my knee and noticed that was diminished. During the session I felt heat emanating from her hand as well as a sensation coming from within the area she worked on which ceased once she removed her hand. Tinky appears to be doing well but she does have a torn acl in her left hind leg so we have to expect some continued problems there. She also has a partially collapsed trachea and over past few days it appears to have improved. I sent photos of Tinky so Christie could do a remote session before hand. I'm looking forward to more sessions with Christie, That Reiki Girl Tinky wants to see her again too. Healing takes time but Reiki can aid your own immune system to be balanced and do it's job. However, in comparison to other spiritual shops that I've visited across the country, there are a few things that I didn't particularly care for when visiting Labyrinth Walking. The first was that you are required to check your bag/purse when you arrive in the store. I get it. I really do. Shoplifting is a thing, and if you own a shop, you want to do everything you can to counter this. Still, this isn't a practice that I've seen done anywhere else, and it was a tad off-putting and made me a little uncomfortable to have my purse, wallet, etc. all taken from me during my visit. Even after all of this, I felt as if some of the staff were implementing "anti-theft" approaches to customer service during my visit. There were quite a few staff on-hand that day, so maybe they were just board and genuinely trying to be helpful, but I felt like I was almost being followed and monitored with how frequently they "checked in". In such a small shop, it honestly made the simple art of browsing and feeling the energy of certain pieces really challenging to do. I also found the prices to be a bit high compared to other stores. The location also makes parking a little bit tricky at times. While there are definitely pros to this space, it's not one that I'll go out of my way to revisit any time soon. Excuse my language, but she was a real bitch. Took a time out. Then went to their website to send a message about what a bad experience I had. When you click on 'send a message' it takes you to a page saying they don't accept messages. So I searched on the internet for their phone number (which isn't on there website) and gave them a call to let them know they may not have the best customer service person making follow-up calls. And I got the same lady! I guess they only have one person answering calls. We talked for about a minute before she went back to her old routine, how she had to hang up on me because 'her' therapist had been waiting for me for 15 minutes and she needed to get in touch with someone to see if they would take my spot, both horrible lies since I told her earlier I'd pay for the missed appointment.
