I also decided to try the tripa taco which I have never had before. Definitely add it to your list because it is made to perfection. It has a crunchy, salty, delicious flavor to it. They give you grilled onions, lime, and a red and green sauce. If you want even spicier, they have an orange-red sauce that is REALLY spicy. In terms of the atmosphere, there is a wonderful outdoor seating area where they play music on the speakers. The service is also always amazing and everyone is always so nice! Great local spot.

They partner with local vendors and I am a big proponent of supporting local businesses. The decor is really cute with maps of Chapel Hill and handwritten menus. The Al Pastor is marinated pork and I was a bit skeptical to have it in a quesadilla but I was told its good so I decided why not? SO glad I got it! Not only is the pork tasty and juicy, there's so much of it! I loved that they did not hold back on their portions and after just one quesadilla (at $5) I'm satisfied. It came with a side of spinach, tomatoes, avocados (no extra charge yay!!) and topped with some cheese and cream. Really good stuff! Great customer service! They were really nice and friendly even though I was awkwardly staring at their menu for awhile. They had a variety of meats to choose from and had other options which I'll have to try next time. It was super quick service as well! The only downside is that they didn't have seating available but considering it's cold, I was okay with taking it home. It was a busy early evening here in downtown Wake Forest as things are getting back to normal. People were out, the brewery had a nice crowd and the local eateries were hopping. I decided to keep it healthy tonight because I donated blood in the early afternoon. I have become a fan of Poke bowls lately and decided to give this food truck a try. I went with the #103 which is the Flame Seared Poke Bowl with yellowfin tuna. The ingredients were fresh. The bowl is built on a base of white sticky rice with avocado, carrots, cabbage, edamame, mango and crushed tataki chips. It is drizzled with a sweet soy sauce glaze and spicy Mayo, which complemented each other nicely. Again the tuna was really fresh and it was seared perfectly. I also got an order of the tempura shrimp cups which were awesome. You can get these as an appetizer or have them for a light lunch. The bango sauce (not sure what's in it) went with the cups nicely. Now, I couldn't find this food truck here on Yelp, so I added it to do this review. They may be a new business. However, for some reason the location pinned all the way out in Apex when I added them. Not the Yelp expert here so I have no idea how that happened. If your looking to find them I would have a street food finder application. I checked and they are on there. We ordered the CrackMac, Catfish Nuggets, Chophouse Fried Wings, Fried Okra, and Fries. When I first tried the CrackMac, I put the fork down all the way to the bottom and then scooped it up and ate a forkful. It was good but it didn't give me that boom flavor like I was expecting, so I tried mixing it up. After trying it once it was mixed up, the flavor intensified and was exhilarating. The highlight of that dish was the fried chicken skin. The flavor, texture, and crunch from those fried skins along with the smoked mac & cheese and barbecue chicken really sold that dish. It was truly a unique dish with a scrumptious flavor. I love a good fried okra, and these were really good. It wasn't fried too dry. It had sufficient moisture but was not soggy in the middle. The fries were standard, but they were also good. The Chophouse Wings were really good as well. The chef's signature seasoning really illuminates the flavor. It was fried well and had sufficient crisp. The wingettes were seasoned right through; however, the drumettes could've used a little more seasoning throughout the meat.
