I saw Dr. Batlle my entire childhood (plus a few years) so when I had my son I instantly knew who I wanted as his pediatrician. It's easily a thirty minute drive for us but it's worth every second. As soon as Dr. Batlle saw me at his first appointment she recognized me and when we saw Dr. Benson a couple of months ago she recognized me as well. My sons have been patients of Dr. Batlle since we moved to the area about a year and a half ago. To make a long story short, Dr. Batlle ordered a test for our son based on 1 symptom that led to a positive diagnosis of a serious medical condition. Our specialist asked for his history and made a point of telling us that we had a very good pediatrician - she said many would not have ordered the test based on his symptoms. She has even called me just to check in since his diagnosis. They take time with each patient, so I will say that there have been times that we had a long wait for an appointment (one time it was more than an hour). If that really bothers you this may not be the best practice for you, but I am willing to wait for the quality medical care that I know my children receive here. I can't believe there aren't any reviews about this place. I recommend Dr. BENSEN. VERY welcoming. Understands that you are the parent and doesn't shove the usual doctor's bs down your throat. She is sweet to my kids, goes down to their level when talking to them. The place is clean. The waiting area is divided for well and sick kids, is equipped with toys, fish tanks etc. My only complain is the LONG wait before u get called. My experiences had been typical 50 to an hour wait before you get seen. read more

If you need a pediatrician this is the place to go, Dr. Benson has been our pediatrician for the last seven years and we haven't made it easy for her. Both my children have had serious medical issues and from day one Dr. Benson has been on top of things, she is also fantastic at returning calls and making us feel at ease from the get go. Horrible! Waiting more than an hour after the appointment is painful. My child started crying but nobody responded to that. Dr. Benson does not listen to what parents has to say. Does not pay attention to details. She just wants to rush us out of the door - imagine waiting an hour to see her and she is making you leave quickly. She prescribed an antibiotic without even looking at the infection! She is very quick to prescribe medicine; questionable business practice. Nurse practitioner either does not know what she is doing or is very quick to say everything is normal when it is not. We did not bring our kid for sick visit if everything was okay! My son's out of pocket maximum was already met for the year; I explained this to them in all 3 visits. Billing department says it won't check with the insurance about the coverage - they will force you to pay then and there or threat to add service fee if not paid then. read more

The first appointment was our last! The woman at check in was a nightmare. Things started great, she was polite, but that quickly changed when an issue arose with my son's insurance. She told me to call CareSource (which I did a week prior to the visit) because the changes wouldn't be in effect for 30 days. So at this point I'm confused...can he be seen or not? I don't remember the exact verbiage she used, because I was so taken aback by her rude tone..but in short he would still be seen. She then shut the window..what if I had more questions? I could see her mumbling under her breath. When I went to the window again, she purposely took a long time on the phone, avoiding to open the window to assist me, so someone else kindly did. She could have acknowledged me in some way, seeing that I was waiting for help. Joanne, who originally made the appt for us via phone was lovely! Her kindness was the reason I set the appt. It's a shame the woman at the front desk doesn't care about the way she represents the office she works for. read more

My son has been a patient of Dr. Benson's for 8 years. We've seen Dr. Batlle a few times, with a positive experience. I have been the mom with the really sick kid that made all the other appointments back up, so I never mind the wait. I've also been the mom that rushed her kid to the ER and was met there by Dr. Benson. I've seen her in action when the minutes really matter and I am forever grateful. The nurses are fantastic and I see the same faces over the years which says a lot. I wouldn't say Dr. Benson is necessarily a "touchy-feely" doctor, but that's not what I am looking for. She is patient, has a good sense of humor, and has great instincts. read more
