Welcome to the CVS Hunger Games. You don't walk into this place--you enter a survival experiment…read more Picture this: you wait, and wait, and wait some more. Time doesn't exist here. Clocks break. Cell phones die. Hope fades. Around you, the soundtrack is a mix of old people screaming at nobody in particular, and the line of the desperate and deranged begging for their "crazy pills" like it's the last act of a Greek tragedy. Organization? Forget it. Shelves look like a Walgreens exploded. The pharmacy line? A scene straight out of Dante's Inferno--if Dante had written about Medicaid co-pays and expired coupons. The employees are trying, but you can tell their souls left their bodies three shifts ago. Two stars only because they technically give you your meds. But calling this place "healthcare" is like calling a cockroach a roommate. This CVS isn't a store--it's a human rights violation with a rewards card. Come for your prescription, stay because you've aged 30 years waiting for it. Look I got my crazy pills so I survived this place for a decade. Look at me now. LOOK AT ME NOW.

I've been a longtime customer of this CVS location and have generally had positive experiences,…read morewhich made what happened on August 12 especially disturbing. I entered the pharmacy with my minor son shortly after an hour-long dental procedure, visibly in pain and wearing a post-surgical facial ice wrap, simply trying to pick up prescribed medication. One pharmacy employee refused to give me her name, became hostile, yelled at me, mocked the medical wrap on my face, and called me a "bitch" in front of my son. She also photographed my minor child without my knowledge or consent. Because she refused to identify herself and I felt threatened, I photographed her only so I could identify her in my complaint to CVS. What concerns me most is that this occurred in a pharmacy, where patients should feel safe and confident about the handling of their medications. Her behavior left me genuinely uncomfortable with the thought of this employee handling prescriptions for me or my family in the future. I am not claiming my medication was tampered with, but the hostility was serious enough to raise concerns about medication safety and trust. I do want to acknowledge Angie, another pharmacy employee, who ultimately assisted me and was significantly more professional. I have formally asked CVS to investigate the incident, review security footage, identify the employee, determine why my minor son was photographed, review the handling of my prescription, and address the employee's conduct. No customer especially someone sick, injured, or recovering from a medical procedure should be mocked, verbally abused, intimidated, or leave a pharmacy questioning whether they can safely trust the person handling their medication. Something must be done to address this behavior. Without appropriate action, another customer could be subjected to the same unnecessary, careless, and uncompassionate treatment.
