we came to this place expecting better food and prices than in brick lane itself. I happen to think that if a restuarant is worse located than the others, they have to make a little extra effort.
they kind of do. prices seem cheaper at first sight.
starters wer quite dissapointing. shish is not bad, although i think it was not homemade..was the point then? Pakora was awful.
down to mains, the thing was that they didn't have anything in the kitchen. amazing. only the vegetable curries and a couple of meaty ones. I ate korma, that did take quite a long while to show up. My friend had roghan josh, nothing special.
i must admit that the curries had more meat than the industry standard in brick lane (not worth going anymore), but still, nothing to brag about.
the waiter, kind of manager was really friendly. he standed out. he apologized for everything and smoothed the long wait.
at the end bill was 20 pounds, not expensive, but we were looking for something cheaper. yes, i know i am a bit tight read more
