Love the service! I was so skeptical finding a new place to get my taxes done after having them messed up 2 years in a row. This was a great decision. Not only was the explanation of every process in detail but made simple to understand. It took a while to get them done mostly because i had tons of questions. I needed my taxes done from last year, and after procrastinating too long I needed them done by a specific date and Better Refund was great working with me on my time schedule. Also, the two people I worked with were very knowledgeable and asked me all the right questions. They called me over the phone a couple times to go over some information with me, were very helpful, and extremely courteous. At the recommendation of our neighbors, we made an appointment to see George Jr. to get our taxes done. He walked us through the process (we had two single tax returns to file) and got out of there within 2 hours. For many years, we have used Turbo Tax and wanted to see if our experience was any better seeing someone/able to get more in return. We also had additional deductions to report this year so it was nice to have a sounding board to make sure we were doing everything correctly. George Jr. takes the time to inform you on what you need to know as you go through the forms. No rock is left unturned. I couldn't even count how many times were asked - does this make sense, haha. My partner's return was $220 since he had deductions to report whereas mine was $180 (I guess in the grand scheme of things, I could have just done mine on my own). In any case, great family owned business. Just call ahead to make an appointment (in early March, we called a week before and was able to see someone the following week). TIP: Look for those flailing characters controlled by wind that you usually see outside of car lots and you've come to the right place (it is next to a Kumon). read more
