I Just got scammed by mega replay bought the used COD cold war yesterday, found out while I was installing it, the game was not available on the disk but it prompted my concole to buy the online version instead costing me $63.00 instead of the $43.49 I just paid for it which I can't get back because they have a only in store credit policy. Walked in and immediately saw two employees without masks--one behind the counter, and one going back and forth between the counter and some shelves, both talking and laughing. I was afraid to even walk in because it seemed like there wasn't a place to even be without a maskless worker. Went to the back to look for what we needed, and saw another employee with a mask but pulled down below their nose. As they spoke to a fourth employee, they pulled the mask down completely. I saw about 5 workers in total that night, not a single one wearing a mask properly--some not at all. We planned to buy several games for my daughter's new video game system, but instead we left. I would recommend that you do not go to mega replay to trade in games and systems. Today I went to mega replay based on reviews to turn a play station 3 and 8 games and two controllers. No game scratches and nothing wrong with the system. They gave us $24 and did not accept the controllers or 1 game. Then I went to game stop to trade the controllers and game and received $32. I find it completely outrageous that mega replay claims top dollar trades and gave us less of a trade in than 2 controllers and 1 game. On Black Friday I went in to Mega Replay with a friend who convinced me to give the shop a second chance. Contrary to my previous visits, I had excellent service and ended up going back two more times over the weekend. The new staff is really friendly and quite knowledgeable about classic gaming. The prices are excellent, and they stock some really incredible retro gaming finds. They have huge sections full of Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, NES, N64, Gameboy, Game and Boy Advance games, and a wall full of controllers and accessories for everything from Atari to Xbox One--all at great prices. Examples include: $7 Sega Dreamcast controllers, $8 Sega Saturn controllers (I bought them out!), and I picked up a complete N64 system for $29, and a Super Nintendo Mini (toploader) package for $44! Their great staff, excellent prices, and immense selection should please any retro gamer. Things have really changed at Mega Replay since I was in a year ago. I love the concept of Mega Replay. I can trade in old items and get store credit to put towards other purchases. Like with most places like that, you are not going to get a lot of money for it. You'd be better off selling it on Craigslist or selling it to a friend. Not surprisingly, they reject a lot of DVDs because they have such a huge stock. I have yet to trade in any games because I usually hold on to them. I have bought a few Super Nintendo games here. They were reasonably priced. I don't think I paid over 10 dollars for each cartridge. They really need to consider moving the Blu-ray cases. Most of the ones facing the window have bleached out movie covers from facing the sun. Unless you want something right away, you can find either similar or better deals on Amazon. However, it is a great place to browse while my girlfriend shops at Sally's a few stores down. read more

Great place to come and find games from any time period! Ranging from the NES till today's systems. They even have board games, tons of movies for such cheap prices, TV shows, and much more. Prices here can either be great deals or retail price. They do not over charge you for stuff which is very nice. Keep in mind that everything here is used so buying items means it is final unless it does not work which they will refund you in in-store credit or just changing out the system or game. The only thing is that they will under pay you for games you are trying to sell to them which is understandable since they must make profit. They will give you more if you sell for in-store credit. read more

I called mega replay yesterday, around 6:24pm asking for a power brick for a xbox one. Someone did answer my phone call and said they had it in stock for $39.99. I told them great I'll be there shortly and also ask them what time do they close? They said at 7pm. So I already had a few minutes to get there before they close. I got there around 6:42 and the doors were locked up and they were already closed. Luckily someone did came up to the door, I didn't get his name or anything but he wore glasses and blond hair. He told me that they were closed due to the corona virus and that they were going to clean the store up. I told them that I made a phone call there about my power brick and no one decided to answer my question that basically no one talked to anyone on the phone which is completely bogus and not a great customer service. I told the person that opened the door for me that next time please let me know in advance about the store closing early or else I wouldn't be wasting my gas getting there. From this experience I would never want to purchase anything from you guys. They didn't offer me a discount offer or something for wasting my gas to get there. read more

I recently purchased an Xbox one s for myself. I decided i did not want it after about a week and went to return it. The previous Associate, who assisted me a week earlier told me i could return this within thirty days for a full refund. I go to return the system and was greeted with a rude response stating there policy only allows in store credit which completely contradicts the only associate. Contrary to the other review about this store, it is absolutely phenomenal! I have been in several times to buy and sell video games. The staff is friendly and helpful (when you ask) and they have a giant selection and only about 10% of it is behind counters (mainly big ticket items). You could spend hours looking at all of the stuff they have from games to DVD's to books to televisions. The best part about the store is the incredible deals. They have lower prices than any big box store like GameStop or Best Buy and they offer you more cash than either of them would. It is a great place to go shopping for presents or just to splurge on yourself. I highly recommend doing business here. read more

Terrible service under managed store.I asked the young blonde employee with no name tag on her shirt (I guess this way you cant to see who you are speaking with to complain if you needed to ) if the store had any 3D bluray movies. I was told by the young blonde employee that she was not sure and if they did they would be in the Bluray section. The women employee then went back to talking to the male employee.laughing and giggling. I felt that the employees were to busy talking and sitting in there chairs to help me locate what i was there for. Instead they directed me towards the Bluray move section. There were hundreds of them that were not in alphabetical order. What a pain in the A** to find what your looking for. You would think to yourself that if they had time to talk they would have time to sort the movies in the correct order and help customers on the floor. The young blonde and taller balding bearded man had no interest in helping the customers to busy talking. After i located a movie 45 min to do so. I went to the counter to pay for the movie. I asked the young blonde girl if i could have a store card with the managers name or business owners name. The young girl hands me a sales card to buy some appliances. I was not only shocked but could not believe my eyes that she handed me this card. i took the card and left. So please save your self time and money go to FYE at the mall. Great employees and they help with out having to ask them. There prices are comparable to mega repalys for used items. Oh yea they have Bluray 3D in a Bluray 3d section amazing right. read more

I love this store. They have a huge selection of movies, video games (far more modern titles than classic stuff, but sometimes you get lucky) and even a few shelves of books to browse through. Prices are pretty good, though if you're picky about condition like me, you may have trouble finding items in satisfactory condition. A lot of it has excess wear, missing game manuals, etc. The disc media always works perfectly, though, and unlike one other reviewer I've never had a problem getting help from employees or checking out. Definitely worth a stop every time I pass through Bloomington. read more

My biggest complaint, as I'm sure others have said...the return policy. I have shopped here multiple times and this is the biggest concern of mine. They do not TEST their games, only check the physical disc. I was wanting to buy a $20 game and I asked if one of the employees could TEST it on a system for me to make sure it worked. The employee flat out told me to take it home, see if it worked, then I could bring it back and they would just clean it. I brought the game home, it didn't work despite the disc being near flawless. It was not my system that was broken, because my other games worked on it. I brought it back, told them it was broken...after requesting that I just wanted my money back, they wouldn't. I stood there arguing with the employee for 10 minutes... They only offered in-store credit or to sell it back to them for considerably less than what I paid for...seriously, their return policy SUCKS. They recently hired a new employee who would not give me their 20% Xbox Sale price on three xbox games I was buying...wtf? He also took forever to help me check out, but he's been there for months. I swear most of the time people just stand around TALKING in there...be WARNED. read more

Amazing store, ignore what others have claimed to have said about this place. These people are what we call "One timers" you know enter once and expect that scenario to be that the entire time. Well sorry bad reviewers, it's not. This store has many options from manga to guitars. The only thing that are behind counters are big ticket items. Everything else is where it should be, like a regular shop. Please don't let these people who have hardly been to Mega Replay ruin what you can save and sell here. And if you're going to down a place for screaming children you may as well not get out much as well. Ever place is going to have at least 1 child in there. But the savings you get on games are great, much better then the local Game Stop. This place is not pricey it's pretty cheap for what you can get, and they don't only have used items but new as well. I have recieved plenty of helpful service from the employes and they know what they're talking about when you ask them a quiestion. And they buy fair as well, you won't get shafted for selling equpiment here. You can get a pretty amazinf offer from them. All and all I recomend this place to anyone who is sick of other electronic stores or Game Stop. read more

Not a bad concept, but this particular branch is poorly ran. Bait and switch tactics to bring people in are in full force. Do not expect to get anywhere close to a reasonable amount on any trade ins you bring. It is better to take your electronics to a pawn shop. read more
