Let me preface this by saying that this could of very easily gone sideways, but they went out of their way to make it right. I recently purchased a bottle of high end bourbon that I discovered to have an issue with the seal AFTER I left the establishment. Although I was 99.9% sure that I didn't cause the issue, I could of understood if the establishment wanted to question my issue. That never happened here. I spoke to "G" on the phone and told him the problem. I wasn't able to make it back in the store until two days later and they didn't give me any issues at all. Exchanged my bottle without hassle and even talked to me about other spirits that I may interested in. It was my first time to visit this location and won't be the last. Definitely gained a life long customer because of the way that they handled my concern.

For example, Irish and Scotch whiskeys are hidden in a corner far from the other whiskeys. Aisles of wine are spread across different sections of the store. And the choices of gins and vodkas are greatly reduced. Service has also suffered. Recently, we tried to place a $500 order for curb-side pickup. After notifying them via text of our arrival and receiving an acknowledgment, we waited over 15 minutes with no delivery to our car. Out of frustration, we went inside to find the staff standing around, visiting or on phones, with our order in a shopping cart. Upon reviewing the paperwork, we noticed several items were marked as out of stock. However, they were in stock because we were able to walk right up to the product on the shelf. My wife and I have been loyal Spec's shoppers for over 10 years. It was always an enjoyable experience with great service. Unfortunately, we're considering shopping at other liquor stores due to Spec's drop in quality.

After a good 10 mins a woman finally responded and said "he would need to help you". Okay but who's he I asked? Then she directed me to another guy who literally said "I'll be with you in a minute" all the while keeping his head down before he finally lifted his head barely to look at my phone screen. Then he handed me the bag. No thank you. Have a nice day..have a bad day. Nothing. We're all tired and there's a lot going on the world. However, poor customer service when you work in a customer facing job is inexcusable. Especially when you're only asking for the bare minimum as a respectful, paying customer.

It felt interactive and gave a nice opportunity to try things you might not normally pick up. One thing that stood out right away is the new setup. All of the liquor is now locked up, so if you're interested in purchasing something, you'll need to request it from the front counter. That's a pretty big shift from the usual browsing experience and took a little getting used to. The store also now has visible security, which seems to go hand-in-hand with the new concept. It definitely changes the overall feel--more controlled and structured compared to a typical liquor store run. Overall, it was interesting to check out the re-opening and see the changes firsthand. The event itself was enjoyable, but the new layout and purchasing process may not be for everyone depending on how you like to shop.
