Because some kids eating in the dressing room ,So Mr Cary (the Director ) of the studio decide to punishment all girls by not allowing they to change in a private ladies dress room. They are kids have no choice to can take turns to change in the that only 1 ladies bathroom in this facility which allows one each time. And put every belongings on the floor no privacy at all. Did not we deserve a place to change for all the tuition we paid . It's ridiculous. That not a way to run your business here. I will continue fight for it with the administration of children to see if there is anything they can do.

Unfortunately there is no website or printed paper schedule so... it's very very very tricky signing your kids up for lessons if your trying to coordinate your family's activity schedule. If you have other siblings activities you will have to sign up for dance first and build all the other activities around this schedule. You don't even know the days until you sign up and they verbally tell you. If your kids want to dance for fun this is a great school. One suggestion for the landlord and all the other store owners on that block of stores: the parking lot drop off pick up situation is horrible and dangerous. There needs to be a single one way in and out of the one lane parking lot, a traffic light or a stop sign would be help and if everyone could stop double parking that would be so nice. I have to park 2 blocks away to avoid the insanity and car accidents. I do love that my kids had fun in a nice environment and learned how to dance. The teachers are very good with the kids and the annual recital is very long but well organized.

Being one of the only boys the studio included him and made him feel important. The quiet, introverted boy FOUND HIMSELF and I can't thank them enough. He is a sophomore in college and when he comes home to visit he goes straight to the studio, to his second home. The friendships and memories will last a lifetime. ATDW and the owners Michelle and Jerome could not be more different from the typical LI dance school. If you're looking for a studio where your child can learn from real experts (not just graduated former students), be groomed like professionals, be surrounded with positive & supportive influence and make great friends (both kids and fellow parents) - this is the place. For a brief background, my daughter started ballet classes at 3 years old at another school. We liked the school but the variation of classes beyond ballet was limited and most attention was given to competition dancers. If you weren't on the competition team or being groomed for it, you were not a priority. I've since heard from many friends that this is the case across many Long Island dance schools where the focus is on competition or the end of year recital performances. This is NOT the case at ATDW. This past fall my daughter attended an open house where she quickly fell in love with the studio, enrolled in 4 classes and has never looked back! To say my daughter's experience moving to ATDW has been transformational would be an understatement. Before moving to ATDW, she liked to dance but felt very insecure about her body, being very tall for her age and a bigger build. She was also struggling with some bullies in school and we were dealing with the typical elementary-school afternoon battles over homework, snacks, screens, etc. The changes we've seen in my daughter since moving to ATDW go well beyond her dance capabilities. The kindness and encouragement she has experienced from Michelle, Jerome, Miss Wendy, Miss Olivia and Miss Allie have given her a true passion for all things dance and performance. Her passion and love for attending ATDW have given her a shocking level of motivation for an 8 year old. Knowing she needs to leave for ATDW, she is motivated to do her homework right after school and she has a positive, active understanding of how to be healthy and take care of her body so she can feel better dancing. Her sense of self confidence has exploded in ways that have extended well beyond after-school dance - in her reading, her grades, her friendships and in-school activities. Perhaps most importantly, my daughter has met and made friends with kind and wonderful children whose parents clearly share the same values we do: kindness over competition, the value and joy of performance, respect, responsibility and confidence. The dancers and families that are part of ATDW feel like a community, particularly for students who take more than one class. Passing each other in the hallways before/after, they make friends with older/younger kids they aren't even in class with. The older dancers are positive and supportive role models for the younger dancers. The amount of joy they all have seeing each other is so sweet and at points comical... they hug each other like they haven't seen each other in weeks. ATDW is truly my daughter's favorite place now. She ended the 22-23 season enrolled in 5 classes and participating in the production of Alice in Wonderland. Looking forward to next season, she's now asking to add more. She can't get enough. We are so thankful for this studio and for the community of dancers and parents that Michelle and Jerome have created. Thank you, ATDW!

Most people who workout here only do so because they have personal trainers that are affiliated with their gym. The personal trainers here are excellent but there is a price to pay for excellence. Their workout classes are awesome but super expensive to pay per class is $20.00 and to pay for unlimited classes a year it in the thousands. The only reason I was able to experience this gym is because I used to get reimbursed by my former employee. The clientele are mostly stay at home moms who can really afford to do what they please. I can only hope that one day I will be there working out again haha :)

It gave me confidence when I didn't have any, taught me how to work hard even when things felt overwhelming, and showed me the value of respect, teamwork, and accountability. Being on a competition team wasn't easy--but it wasn't supposed to be. It pushed me, challenged me, and ultimately made me stronger in every sense. Recently, I had the chance to come back and watch my younger siblings compete, and it was such a full-circle moment. Of course, things have changed over the years--teachers evolve, styles change, and the studio grows just like everything in life does. But what hasn't changed is the heart of this place. Watching my siblings perform with so much confidence, joy, and passion honestly meant even more to me than my own years dancing there. That says everything. You truly could not ask for a more loving, supportive environment. The staff care deeply about their dancers--not just as performers, but as people. They build you up, hold you accountable, and create a space where you feel like you belong. This studio gave me lifelong memories, lifelong lessons, and lifelong relationships. No place is perfect, but Attitudes in Motion is something really special. I will always be grateful for everything it gave me.
