Megaplex 13 At the Junction - Cinema Near Me - Ogden, Utah

Very disappointed that on a Friday afternoon/early evening (540 pm) the concessions stand did not have fresh Cheetos popcorn. All they had was an old bin with less than an inch in the bottom. To top it off, of the 6 people who were there working the concessions stand no one was a manager and supposedly the one guy who makes that special popcorn was not there and no one was going to make fresh popcorn at all. There was no fresh popcorn being popped. If I'm going to pay over $10 for popcorn I want fresh. This is a really poor experience and example to make me want to come get the movie theater experience I might as well stay home and stream something. It will probably be a long time till I want to megaplex. I get fresh popcorn at Cinemark. Somebody call the Miller family and tell them thanks for following my advice! Theaters have been updated and the seating is very, very nice now. Loungers for all seats and they are comfy enough that you can nap if the movies sucks. They also have seat heaters for weirdos that get cold in theatres (hope my wife doesn't read these reviews) and the spacing is comfortable for us larger framed folks. Concessions are good and overpriced like every theater but they DO have a rewards type bucket for popcorn that makes it affordable if you see a lot of movies (again, see my wife). They have pizzas here that are tasty and a few other items like chicken fingers, etc, that are not amazing but better than being hungry. Megaplex theaters are more expensive than other chains in the area but not enough to prevent the visit. Very happy they upgraded the theater experience here. read more

Over the last few months the quality of service provided by the staff come down to unprofessional and inattentive. It's a group of unsupervised teens who don't care about customer service. On a recent visit, we had to wait 40 minutes for our food, making one of us wait and miss out on part of the movie. Keep in mind we were there during matinee time (not busy). The workers seemed more interested in being on their phones or chatting with friends. When we politely inquired about our food, we were met with an eye roll and a dismissive response of "it'll be out soon." We waited another 15 minutes before receiving our order. McKayla on 12/14/24, in particular, was unhelpful and rude. When I asked to speak with a manager, she refused. I gave her my number for my rewards account, but she claimed it wasn't working. I showed her my QR code, after scanning it herself, she still insisted it didn't work. I visit this theater frequently and know my rewards code works, so her response was frustrating. I asked her to ask for help or for the manager again, but she refused. Fortunately, one of her colleagues overheard and offered to help. It turns out McKayla didn't even know how to scan or look up a rewards member. *If you're unsure about something, it's okay to admit it and ask for help. A simple "I don't know, but let me get someone who can assist you with that" goes a long way. read more

Haven't been to the Megaplex in over 5 years, and wow the Platinum X theater was amazing. We were there for a company movie event and boy was it great! Loved we didn't have to watch any previews as this was a special sneak preview of Wonka! The seats were a little dirty from the previous that wasn't clean great. I love how the chairs have seat warmers. The popcorn wasn't the freshest. We ordered cheese fries and they literally give you a pipping hot aluminum pan, no tray and no cover. No sauces as well. That was a downfall of ordering cheese fries. Portion was small for what you're paying. They do have great snack options. I would still go back to Megaplex to watch a movie! read more

Theatre was comfortable and clean; our seats were affordable and everyone was very nice

This is so far my favorite movie theatre in Utah. I had made a little mistake reserving my movie tickets online. Selected Dec 26th when in fact I meant to select Dec 25th since I had to work on the 26th I gave it a shot to give them a call and see if they could help me switch the date. I was greeted by a very pleasant man that quickly switched the date for me. On the day of the movie we saw "Fatale". Our tickets were at will call as instructed, we grabbed our concessions and headed to our seats. Here is where it gets great. Luxury seats that are roomy and recline. Now...remember you get what you pay for so these are not 5.00 Tuesday movie night seats but worth every penny. read more

We went to see a movie during the week, and we purchased luxury seating. We bought food and had to wait 10 minutes for a pretzel. they made us wait there, they wouldn't deliver it to us even though we had luxury seating. AND it was burned!!!!! The movie was starting so we just threw it away. What a waste of time AND money!!! Super disappointed. The seats were so cramped as well, we thought luxury seating would be nicer. I think I prefer AMC, at least the seats are not cramped. We expected more from this theater. read more

Really nice place in a nice lil shopping area, the luxury seats were amazing and nice privacy, didn't feel like I was disturbing anyone by leaning and whispering to hubby or anything it was so comfy. My only issue was when we went to the concession to give our food voucher that my hubby purchased online, the girl like fully snatched it out of my hand like I pissed her off, it was so weird, she walked away immediately and both my husband and I looked at each other like, did she do that or am I imagining things! She did. It was odd she seemed unhappy. Everyone else we encountered were so nice but she seemed like maybe she was already irritated before or maybe it was just me that somehow set her off. Didn't do anything but smile and hand her the ticket. I would definitely go back I just hope that's not always the attitude we would get. read more

My mom and I just had the most horrible experience at this theater. I took my mom to see the Fabulous Four at the Megaplex theater at the Junction in Ogden, UT on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 1pm for part of her birthday celebration. There was a steady amount of business, but normal for the time. When we walked in, the lobby was so filthy, cups lying about, popcorn every where, dirty tables. We got in line to purchase snacks and drinks for the movie. While we were waiting there was this man screaming at the customers from behind the counter. He was screaming at them to move to this cashier and that cashier which was not necessary when people were watching to see who the next free cashiers would be. People in line we making comments about how awful it was. He was a 5'10" latino man with black long curly hair pulled back. We were next in line and he proceeded to yell again at us. When we got up to him to give him our order he made a rude sarcastic comment about how he was sorry but he had to be this way to herd the cattle. My mom and I then ordered a medium popcorn, two boxes of candy and a refill for my mug. He kept hammering my mom to order a Large popcorn because it was only a dollar more and she stated over and over "Please just a medium". When I had asked him for a refill for my mug - he started to tell me in a rude and gruff voice "NO!, YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY NOT GET A REFILL IN THIS MUG, IT IS COMPANY POLICY AND IT IS NOT A COMPANY BRANDED MUG!!!" I said that is fine, I have had it done before at this theater, but it's ok. I asked him to please just give me a large drink and then I would go ahead and poor it into my mug. He started screaming again, "WHAT PART OF NO DONT YOU UNDERSTAND, YOU CAN NOT USE YOUR MUG AT ALL IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT, IT IS COMPANY POLICY AND IF OTHER CUSTOMERS SEE YOU DO THIS THEN THEY WILL ALL WANT TO DO IT!" I started to yell back at him because he was screaming and I just wanted him to stop yelling at me, that it was no big deal and I wouldn't use my mug. He kept going and going and was mad that I was yelling at him. I told him to please just let it go and I wouldn't use my mug. Then he got all quiet and he started to apologize and turn this around on me stating why are you yelling at me? I am only doing what company policy is, you are so mean to me, etc. I finally got him calmed down enough to give me our popcorn, candy and the large cup for my drink and we went to go into the theater. While we were walking away, he started screaming at the customers in line that they need to go to this cashier and that cashier. We were so upset and it completely ruined my mom's birthday outing that we just decided to leave. What a horrific experience, especially when we both hate any kind of conflict or upsetting matters. We got outside and we both cried on our walk to our car because of this awful experience and how he made us feel when we were only just trying to get some snacks and a drink for our movie. Very impressive theatre. My first visit was last weekend, and I could not have been more impressed. Everyone from the cashier for tickets to the concessions folks was cheerful, very pleasant, and welcoming. The ticket taker as one actually enters the theatre area was also friendly and engaging. The people here really impressed. I saw the pic of the spilled popcorn that was posted. That could happen anywhere and any time. What I saw was almost spotless conditions everywhere. I can't ever recall seeing a theatre as clean as this one anywhere. Seats were wonderful and the sound system perfect. This is now my GO TO theatre. Bravo! read more

This is my favorite movie theater in Ogden, albeit there aren't a plethora of choices. It's right in the heart of downtown and it's the perfect location for a date night. You have movies, bowling, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other fun things right in one area. This is one of my favorite additions that Ogden has done in my lifetime. While others might complain about how busy $5 Tuesday gets, you can't beat $5!! It's incredible!! You can watch a normal 2D movie, 3D movie, or DBOX seats for $5! Plus you can reserve your seats ahead of time and when you show up take advantage of their incredible food specials. Mini Popcorn for $1? Yes please! Nachos or Personal Size Pizza for $3? Sure! Just take your MegaMug for a cheap refill and you've got yourself an awesome date night for less than $15. I LOVE $5 TUESDAYS! Please don't take them away, Megaplex! They also have other deals such as Matinee Monday where any movie is Matinee price with your America First Credit/Debit Card. Or, you can upgrade your Medium Popcorn or Medium Drink to a Large for free if you have a Zions Bank Credit/Debit Card. So we waited in line for 5 minutes while an employee and manager were doing some type of paperwork with a guest. I had to ask if there was a kiosk available to end the wait. Someone should have made us aware that we didn't have to just stand there. There were no games or arcade which was very disappointing. The chairs outside of the theater were weird plastic. So that's uncomfortable waiting for your theater to be ready. Popcorn....they don't have popcorn salt! They have table salt (so not the same) and Cheeto dust. Yes Cheeto dust. Again, disappointing for a "megaplex". The theater chairs were super comfortable, they rocked and you could lift the arm rests up which is good because they certainly aren't made for bigger people. If we were 40 pounds heavier it would have been uncomfortable. Will not go to this theater again. read more

I come here all the time and have never been disappointed. Their service is good, theaters are spacious and you can hear the movies perfectly. I have seen all the different types of movies they offer and all of them are good depending on if your schedule fits their schedule. I love their family movie night on Tuesdays of $5 dollar movies. Lets those large families still see movies and not pay an arm and a leg for it. I only give them 4 stars because they have messed my nachos up every time I have ordered them and some of their food just simply isn't very good. Especially the Philly cheesesteak. I LOVE the luxury seating! And I LOVE the fact that on Tuesday's even luxury is $5. What I don't like is that only one theater has the luxury seating so when we went to watch the new Spider-Man it wasn't available the next week after it came out because the new planet of apes movie came out and so we had to settle for regular seating. I love the idea about the mega bucket for purchase and then you can refill for only $3 but it's only good until the end of 2017 - hopefully they get another one in for 2018 and future years. read more

This theater is in a great location and has room for everyone. Went to see a movie this past Wednesday afternoon and it was just me and a friend in the theater, to a brand new movie!! Private screening for $14.50! Came back on a Saturday night and the theater was maybe full. The seats are more narrow than I am used to. They were pretty comfortable, but I did feel a little squished. The concession stand at this theater has two sides. One side faces the lobby where you buy tickets, and the other side is inside the theater, after where they tear your ticket. You get to choose your seat when you buy a ticket. I loved that!! Popcorn was not very good here. The top of the theater was stuffy and the movie volume was much lower than most theaters. read more

This is my theater. Mostly because I live in Ogden. I've come to judge all other theaters in Utah based off of this one. The popcorn and soda is pretty good. There's a coke machine for you to select your flavor. Even if you don't use that, there's still cherry coke as an option in the regular behind the counter sodas. The seats are reserved which is nice so you don't have to worry about staying your claim too early. It does get a bit awkward if there's someone in your seat though. And the numbers on the seats are really faint. Like really faint. Overall, a great place. read more

My beef with this theater is not the video or sound quality. Those are top notch and won't leave you disappointed. The seats are spacious and you can lean back in them. I personally don't like the reserved seating but I know many do. (I would rather pick my seat after seeing what the theater layout is in person and make sure not to sit next to the D-bags/chicks who will be txting the whole movie) My problem is the ridiculous prices for all of the concessions. There is Pizza Hut Express, Costa Vida, deli, and burger concessions in addition to the traditional movie theater fare. I would think I was seeing a movie in Manhattan for how much they charge for popcorn. On busy nights they bag up the popcorn ahead of time and just pull it out of a glass case rather than fill it right when you order. I always ask for a fresh bag. I don't think it is cool that I get to bring actual food in the theater if it causes me to go broke. Do yourself a favor and sneak in some Reece's Pieces and a 20 oz Dr. Pepper and skip the concessions if you have to go. read more

OGDEN, UT: This is a good theater, no question, with an appealing exterior, updated architecture and technology, and new movie options and many of them. However, it's still just a slight upgrade over hat we've been seeing since the late 80's: big screens, overpriced popcorn, drinks large enough to double as fish tanks. The problem is that newer updates to the same-old are not encouraging more movie goers. The innovations we now expect to differentiate are gourmet food, superior drink options, better service options, better seating options, over 21 areas, etc. I withhold my fifth star for these establishments that are popping up everywhere, and make me excited to go to the movies. read more

This theater is the worst. Twice now on 2 separate occasions, we've arrived here only to find out the online movie times were posted incorrectly. Not sure what's so hard about having the movie as advertised but this is ridiculous! On another visit, the consession stand said they couldn't sell us popcorn or much of any consession as they had already begun clean up. Yes we were there for one of the later showings, but if you're still open and showing movies, there should be consessions available. PLUS, we've noticed in the evenings they turn the A/C off! It's been 97 degrees this summer! The individual theaters aren't very spacious or comfortable. SKIP this crummy place! read more

Huge theaters, covered garage parking and clean restrooms. Sounds like a typical Megaplex theater to me! Only irk with this place was that the concession line was super long. They've got a couple registers for the pizza and grilled food items, and the others for popcorn, soft drinks, etc. The registers on the grill side were completely empty, so it didn't make sense for them not to be helping out with the other side. read more

I come here frequently and it's probably my favorite theater. Just the look of the outside of this place makes it look appealing. This place has all the aspects of a movie theater you want in your experience. Lets go over what makes its great: -It's clean. Rarely are the floors sticky and the halls are neat. The janitorial workers here tear it up and take their job seriously. -Food and beverage options are wide and ideal. You have tons of options of things you can eat at this place. A self-serve coke machine where you can get mixed drinks. Those are my favorite and one of the reasons why I come here. Cant watch a movie without my Vanilla Sprite (a favorite of mine and my finances) The popcorn is good too. -The workers. I have yet to run into a sassy worker. They are always nice and kinda cool people to talk to. They seem to have a good relationship with one another as well. They always interact and talk with one another in passing which kinda makes it seem like its a cool environment. -Service. This is separate from the workers because no matter how many people there are or what movie premier it is, I always get my ticket and get in the theater super quick. I have never waited more than probably 8 minutes. This place is ideal and I would suggest it if you're going to go see a movie. One of mine and my finances favorite things to do is go to movies. We choose the Megaplex every time because we believe it is the best. read more

My sister and I stopped here to see a movie while in the Ogden area. It's one of those movie theaters where you pick your seats on a map of the theater -- assigned seating. It was $10.50 per person for the 3D version of Alice and Wonderland. We headed to grab some popcorn and an icee and sat down to wait. They let you into the theater only 30 minutes before it starts. We waited and waited... and waited some more. We asked what was going on and were told that the screen was being fixed. Finally, about 15 minutes AFTER the movie was supposed to start, we were told that it would be another 30 minutes ... we had already been waiting about 45 minutes at that point. So, we decided to leave, getting two free movie passes and a refund in the process. The manager was apologetic. We went back to the hotel (3/4 of a tub of popcorn and a now liquidy icee in hand) to watch TV there. We returned the next night and everything was fine. I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but the experience was fine. It was a comfortable theater, but my only complaint was that they could have let us know a bit sooner about the screen (maybe before we had purchased all those snacks). I also wonder why so many of the center seats were unavailable on the seat map, but no one occupied said seats in the theater??? read more

This is one of those theaters that have been adopting the practice of reserved seating. What a terrible idea. It's fine for live theater where there are usually ushers to help out. But when I show up at movie time while previews are playing and fumble around in the dark trying to find seat numbers, only to find that I'm sitting in front of or behind the parent who has brought five noisy children to a movie they shouldn't be seeing, or the chick who cannot wait to text her bff til after the movie's over, or the guy who's 7 feet tall... it's pretty frustrating. Especially since I'm locked into that seat and if I move, I risk being embarrassed by the person that's also fumbling around in the dark whose assigned seat I've taken to get away from the undesirables. The assigned seating alone is why I avoid this theater at all costs. There are many other theaters in the area that are just as nice without the lame assigned seating policy. read more

Yesterday night me and my family decided to go out and watch a movie as family. As we arrived we notice a huge line of people an I said to myself were gonna be here for a while. As we moved up the line I notice that people were getting annoyed and frustrated becuase of how big the line was. Even my family was getting annoyed an complaining telling me were gonna miss our moive I told them we will be next soon. As I'm telling my family this I notice a young man running around filled with energy an having positive attitude serving everyone with a big smile. I notice every time he was finish with customer he would look at the next person with a big smile and greet them. He would make people laugh as he serving them my kids were also laughing at him because of him sliding around and making jokes. I have never seen anyone so focus and energetic at the same time it was very impressive to see that. I would say he has the best customer service and attitude for this job. Only if i knew his name i would tell his manger that boy right there is amazing. read more
