We walked right in, and didn't have any problems with our ticketless ticket on my phone. No waiting in line for the concession stand either. They do have a food delivery service, but I'm not sure if they are still delivering food since covid. I would never use this service anyway. It's just easier to get your popcorn, and head for your movie. Pretty fast and easy. (I'm not sure I would like the interruption of food delivery while watching a movie.) Theater is on the smaller size, and are practicing social distancing when buying tickets. I actually like this idea, and wish they would keep it after the threat of covid is over, if it ever is. When choosing your seats the computer "blocks" out seats next to you, on either side, so that no one other than who is in your "party" will be seating next to you. Individual screening rooms are on the small size as well, However, the seats are large comfy lounge seats that lean back with drink holders on the side. When the movie started my grandson covered his ears waiting in anticipation of the promo, at most movie theaters, that promote the very loud sound systems. I don't know why they do that, because it is very loud. I tried to get his hands away from his ears, but he wasn't having it. It wasn't until after all the previews, and not until the movie started, that he took his hands away from his ears. I don't know if it was because of the movie we saw, or if it's because they don't have the speaker system of other movie theaters, but the sound was perfect. Not to loud, that you have to worry about loosing your hearing. All in all a pleasant evening.

Sounds so fun!! The featured films look really good. We saw; Killers of the Flower Moon and it presented a lot to discuss after! The best kind... after NUMEROUS visits…read more i love this film series. it is a fun and inexpensive ($7 for adults) escape from salt lake city. the perfect pre or post dinner activity in park city - snow or shine. screenings of, primarily, indie films and documentaries take place most every thursday, friday and saturday evenings at the park city municipal library. tickets are sold at the door. save your ticket stub for the prize drawing at the beginning of each movie. you can win anything from coffee mugs and gift certificates (my favorite, but i've never won) to t-shirts and massage oils (i've never won, period). they do have a concession stand and it is quite extensive. feel free to popcorn, or sugar yourself up! overall: A it's local. it's a gathering of great people. good vibes all around.

Megaplex Cinemas has come in and completely transformed the old and outdated Redstone Cinemas! The…read moremoviegoing experience here is so much better, and the upgrades are immediately obvious the moment you walk in. The old theater now feels so new. From the floors and paint to the overall design, it now feels modern, sleek, and genuinely comfortable. The lobby and auditoriums have been totally refreshed, giving the entire space a much more upscale and polished feel compared to what it used to be. One of the biggest improvements is the seating. They now have roomy plush recliners thatt make watching a movie incredibly comfortable. These seats recline a lot, and they are also HEATED which is super nice when it's snowing outside. Assigned seating is another welcome upgrade, and the ticket kiosks in the lobby make purchasing and check-in quick and convenient. The theater also has new digital projectors and improved sound systems that deliver strong visual and audio quality. There are also some self-serve features, including a soda fountain and Icee machine with refillable drinks. The concessions are where things get a bit tough. Prices are ridiculously high, especially considering the portion sizes. A small popcorn ($8) isn't even enough for one person. Parking is still easy and free, and there are plenty of nearby restaurants if you want to grab a meal before or after your movie. Bargain day is Tuesday, so plan to go then and save some money on tickets. It's also when the theater is the most crowded, however. Also take note that not every auditorium is equal. Some theaters have noticeably small screens and a smaller number of seats, and the screen placement continues to be an issue. The screens are mounted way too high, so sitting in the front rows can lead to a strained neck and a less enjoyable viewing angle. Choose your seat carefully. It's hard not to be excited about the renovations that Megaplex Cinemas has brought to town. These are HUGE upgrades that have turned a dated theater into one that's super comfortable, modern, and a convenient place to see a movie.

I was on the balcony sitting towards the right of the theater and in front of me was a wooden stage to hold the lighting. There was this huge light in front of me and so i moved, but it wasn't on. There was no reason for it. I came during Sundance Film Festival, so the House was packed. They were very organized and everything ran on time. I wish the sound was just a notch or two louder. It's a great theater but surely needs a few updates to keep with the times. The movie screen was sharp and clear, no interferences. Just wish it was a bit more comfortable for me while i was sitting. :/

This little old theater is located near the corner of 9th and 9th-a trendy area. The parking is limited, but it's not usually too bad since they only show one film at a time. You'll find concessions at a fraction of the price at larger theaters. And bonus points for the DVDs that you can rent. How many other movie theaters do THAT? This is a great little independent theater that we should all support. It's like a preservation effort that we can all participate in.

We dine in the theater all the time and absolutely love the food (even with the limited menu), so we assumed the sit-down experience would be the same vibe, same flavor, same magic. It was... not. Let's start with the good: the ambiance is gorgeous. Classy, clean, comfy booths, great lighting. Our waitress was great -- attentive and kind. No complaints there. The gal who brought out the food, however, looked like she had rolled out of bed and maybe hadn't met a hair brush or dry shampoo in a week. Not exactly the impression you want in a kitchen staff delivering your food. We ordered: nachos, French dip, chicken quesadilla, and a kids chicken strip + fruit. The kids chicken? Chewy. Rubbery. My daughter took one bite and decided fruit was the safer investment. The nachos were decent but painfully bare. The cheese sauce covered maybe 60% of the chips, there was basically one scoop of pico trying to stretch across the whole platter, and the meat chunks were so large you had to engineer each bite. Also... rib meat on nachos? I'm open-minded, but I'm not fully convinced. The chicken quesadilla was solid and generously filled -- maybe almost too generously? It somehow crossed into "so loaded it forgot to be cheesy" territory. But it was fully eaten, so we'll give it that. Now. The French dip. The one I was most excited for. They tried to reinvent the wheel with short rib and Gruyère. Not traditional, but I was willing to trust the vision. The plate comes down -- no au jus. So the girl goes back to get it. Like the fries were reused from my first plate and just dumped or something. Flavor-wise? I ate about 90% of one half and called it good. The flavor combo just wasn't my thing. Now -- because fairness matters -- we have to talk about the in-theater dining (same restaurant, totally different experience). We LOVEEE the tavern fries and the pepperoni pizza. The servers deliver everything right to your seat! It felt very elevated. With that, comes higher quality food but also restaurant-level prices and portions. This venue perfect for a date night or going with one other person, as opposed to a large group, because the seats are very private. (Or opt for a non luxury option and sit right next to your friends.) I kind of missed the old school classic Megaplex feel but it was really fun to try the new experience for myself. I could get used to having my cinema snacks brought straight to my chair!

But to charge trusting patrons for quality theater at an iconic theatre and then force them to watch a juvenile production of Elf was not fun to experience. The singing was bad. Only 2 actresses were standout. It was a tough watch. Many people in front of us left after intermission. A tough watch. A tough price. It has shaken my trust of local theatre and I'd be extremely weary of another Egyptian Theatre production before visiting again.

Being tall, I made sure to sit on the end of the row. But I will say, I thought the seating to be more comfortable than I anticipated. I didn't drink, but got a soda which was $3. I didn't think that was awful given I was in a theatre AND I was in Park City. The only downside was the pre-show which began with them asking for money. I assume this is because most folks are locals and they are a non-profit. All wonderful things, but it felt super salesly and honestly, I didn't come for a sales pitch I just wanted to hear some great live music, which fortunately I did.
