Ever since the remodel it feels cluttered. The way they restructured the departments don't make a lot of sense and it seems out of place. Outside of the store layout, the cleanliness of the store is on point. During my most recent visit, the greeter was wiping down carts which is nice because a lot of stores depend on their customers to sanitize their own carts. The parking lot is well maintained and lit. I have never felt uncomfortable with my safety at dark or late at night in their parking area. read more

I would just like to post a comment and say how fortunate we are during these Covid times to have a store that is open and well stocked. I have never had a problem with returns and the service desk people have always been friendly and helpful. I have used their curbside pickup and delivery with no issues. I use their gasoline. They have great savings especially if you use their Mperks program. If you have their credit card, you can also save 10 cents a gallon and get $10 for every $750 spent. It's easy in and out and never so busy that you want to turn around and leave, even at Christmas. PS I'm in Bowling Green, OH, not Norwalk. read more

I found the service to be friendly and helpful. Like other retailers they have a greeter at the door and plenty of floor personnel to help. The selection was great in my opinion. In smaller town America, Meijer is a large retailer and offers some great prices and specials. Overall the experience was fast, friendly and efficient. I liked it. read more

CAUTION TO CUSTOMERS AT THE BG LOCATION: Beware of very sketchy people at this location. I had two female strangers in black dresses (who I believe were posed as religious solicitors) approach me from behind, when I was alone in the cosmetic aisle during a time when the store was rather empty. I was totally caught off-guard. They cornered me and sweetly asked me what my name is, and other personal questions, and refused to leave me alone. The one woman had a very blemished face. I dropped the makeup I was looking at and got out. I was extremely disturbed given the amount of trafficking and kidnapping issues in today's society, along with women being used to entrap other women. I reported the incident to the management and they were quite alarmed, especially with the context that any type of solicitation is strictly forbidden in a grocery store and the parking lot. I was alone, and in an aisle where women frequent. The management also said I was the only person who gave such a report that afternoon. The factors are enough to make me wonder more, and from what I understand, traffickers and kidnappers frequently pose as religious solicitors. read more

Went to Meijer tonight to buy a lot of stuff for our son. He just moved into his first apartment ( has nothing) and we came in to buy a lot of the stuff he needs. We knew it was gonna take a few trips to get everything he needs to start off with. This was our first trip out of several that we are taking to get everything. So we have a couple trips left. We finished shopping around 10:30pm and keep in mind it's a Saturday night. We went later in the evening because we figured it would be less busy. We have two heaping carts that were full and I mean they were full and over flowing. We come up to the front to check out and there are absolutely no registers with employees at them open to check us out. I mean it was a ghost town in the regular check out isles. The only thing open was these small do it yourself registers..... I'm like "You have to be kidding me!!" Honestly, I about left the 2 heaping cart fulls right where they stood and walked out! My husband and I live down near Dayton and we still had to drive home tonight and our son needed this stuff. Are we incapable of bagging our own stuff? Absolutely not! But with that being said, if we have so much stuff in our carts and we are spending the kind of money that we're spending, then the least Meijer can provide great customer service! So my husband went to one register and I went to another and we started processing the carts. We knew it would take some time due to the amount of stuff we had to purchase....Then just as we start checking stuff out, here come a bunch of people, walking up to check out and pretty soon there were lines of people waiting and of course they didn't open one up for anyone...so they had to sit and wait on us to hurry up and finish ‍ . You only have so much room on the place where the bags are hanging and u can't remove a bag until it's paid for because the register starts beeping and refusing to scan. I'm not gonna lie I was stressed out because I hate to inconvenience anyone. But I was beyond livid that we were put in this situation. We spent several hundred dollars in there tonight (And no this was not our stimulus check we we're out blowing...this was money we worked for) we will not be making the other couple trips to Meijer for the rest of the stuff that is needed. I guess Walmart will be getting those trips and money from us. You know, even Walmart has a lane or two open late at night that has an employee checking people out. There was absolutely no reason that people had to wait on us. I felt horrible we were in check out lanes that had " no more than 10 items" and all those people were waiting on us to hurry so they could check out their 3 items. UGH! What was to be a fun day for our son turned into a frustrating night! read more

Horrible stop. The store is clean enough but they a SINGLE shared (dirty) bathroom! There is always a line. There is no urinal. They do not even install the toilet paper rolls. Oh, and the lock acts like it's broke, but a hand written note reassures you it really is locked. This is unacceptable for the first gas station to the right on north bound 75. Plus they only have 6 pump station (12 nozzles), this is way to few for a high volume stop. read more

nope not only is it a impossible place to find help but the lack of lanes open . but if you are employed there they write you up for any little tiny thing. it's like a boot camp that mentally destroys their workers . the union rips their workers off by not even following the contract and don't get me started on unions. the job is a joke and the shopping is a joke. Meijers is my go to store! The only down side is the check outs are extremely limited. The only thing slowing me down while shopping there is waiting in line at the checkout. Excellent store, but I wish there were more cashiers able to check out more customers. read more

Far better than the other Meijer stores in the region. Well-stocked, lots of staff members on the floor, and there is usually not a wait for the self-checkout lanes. Staff is pleasant. This store is much cleaner than the Maumee store. The shoppers are also more laid-back and not in such a rush. They have a wide selection of organics. They also sell recycled paper products, like paper towels and napkins. I also like that they have Mexican Coke (the glass bottles.) No one else carries them! Points they could improve: I don't like the layout for the produce department, but I think that's a chain dictate, not a store decision. I think it's awkwardly planned with the diagonal half-aisles, and it's way too easy to overlook something you need. I always have to double-back through the produce department to find at least one item. I also notice that they run short on some of the specialty meats, like Laura's ground beef. Food prices are generally excellent, but non-food items are not always competitively priced. Luckily for those shortcomings, we also have an excellent Kroger store in town, plus Walt Churchill's in Perrysburg! I rotate my shopping between the three. Occasionally I will drive to Fresh Thyme in Toledo, and maybe once every couple months I will try Walmart. I highly recommend this Meijer. read more

This is by far my favorite Meijer. The people are always friendly and the store is clean. Their power carts are always charged up for my mom when we go there, which is a problem at most stores. I guess those college students don't need them, which is great for us! read more

I like this Meijer because it has a full line of organics, including yogurt. And it always has a lot of organic produce at good prices.

I liked to go there since, despite being more expensive than walmart, produce is generally better and the people are nice. Lately I had a very bad experience with one of the cashiers, she was very arrogant and rude. I was surprised that other people I know had exactly the same experience with the same person, and decided not to go there anymore. It is sad to see that one person can damage the work of many other coworkers. read more
