I've never had a positive customer experience from this Meijer locations. The employees are not friendly. They have an attitude when asking for help. The prices are usually higher than most grocery stores. The store is not as clean as other locations. If you have to go to Meijer, I would recommend to drive a little more for better customer experience. read more

Filthiest produce department. Looks worse than a 3rd world country market. The leafy vegetable section is nearly always full of slimy rotting or dried out produce, that sits there still expecting to be sold. Is horrid. It has been addressed with managers for years. No improvement. read more

This store has really gone down hill in the past 6 months. I don't know if it's new management but if it is, they suck. I shop for my elderly mother every week. She needs about 10 items a week and I usually can only find 6 or 7 because the shelves are not stocked. Have gotten ground beef twice that's turned bad within a day. I know that should not happen!! I shop at this store once a week. I usually find what I want and I am usually amazed at how clean the store is. Prices are high like everywhere else. The only problem I have with the place is that they seldom have enough registers open. I don't like the self checkout. read more

This is an enormous combination supermarket and department store, including a pharmacy, and a bank located within. Generally I don't care for mega-stores, but this Meijer has some good points: The grocery store side is well laid out, and if you enter in the left side entrance to the store, you'll walk straight into it, starting with deli, bakery and fresh produce. Bakery is very good to excellent in selection and quality. It was here, oh irony of ironies, that I've found the best quality supermarket baked breads in the region; including a "crusty Italian" that is the closest I've found to the much loved and missed Italian breads I could buy in New York. Much more authentic than Jungle Jim, with Kroger bakery a distant, distant third. Produce selection is extensive and very high quality. Canned/packaged goods are of greater variety than Kroger and prices seem to be competitive. They have a good number of delicacies, imported products, a lot of stuff you'd be surprised to find outside of a specialty store. Surprisingly, I find the dairy prices to be significantly HIGHER than Kroger or JJ. And I am not too impressed with the deli counter. They have a BIG section of pet foods & accessories, even tropical fish for sale. It's more like a small pet store than a section of a supermarket. It forms kind of the finale of the grocery, and you must be careful not to be sucked into the department store aisles after you get your cat food. The pharmacy is unfortunately located all the way on the opposite side from the grocery entrance, forcing you to pass all the end aisles of clothing, home goods, etc. if you needed to hit both grocery and pharmacy. It's a hike! Meijer pharmacy offers I believe three prescription drugs completely free, yes I said no charge. Happens my husband takes two of them which is what started bringing us the extra miles to Meijer. Now Meijer pharmacy also has a drive thru window, which I can only describe as 'back to the '90s.' You'll have to visit it yourself to see what I mean. Another thing I like about Meijer is you DON'T have to have a "loyalty" card. If something's on sale, that's the price. Overall I give the edge to Meijer over Kroger. read more

I came to this Meijer to buy a couple fish as pets for my nephew and niece and I went to the tanks and all the tanks look just like this one. I'm absolutely so disgusted by how they left these poor fish die. Overall the Meijer is in great shape and workers are great. 2 stars. read more

Spend hundreds of dollars here a week, had a simple return, and was told by a very rude lady behind customer service, that no returns bc of virus. So I asked her to explain bc they are obviously still getting trucks in...like a robot she very rudely said read the sign, which gives no reasonable explanation, said they dont want outside things coming in.....as I see the 18 wheeler leaving the back bay....lol. Explained to her that when it comes back, it will b in same bag, touched by same person....‍‍fml. Long time shopper after I get money back for this bs I wont b returning. I recently had eye surgery and cannot see well close up. I was at Meijer Pharmacy on Gilmore Rd and was looking for enteric aspirin and could not find it, so I went over to the counter where two young women were standing on the inside of the pharmacy counter. I asked one of the ladies to come out behind the counter to help me find the aspirin, and to my surprise, she told me to GET IT MYSELF!!! Apparently a third (male) employee heard what she had said and got the aspirin for me HIMSELF, and I paid for it. It seems that this woman liked to be standing there and ringing things up, but that's as far as customer service went. I don't know who is running the asylum but where I come from, some coaching may be necessary, especially at a pharmacy. read more

I first started going to Meijer out of convenience, it is a half mile from home. I keep going to Meijer because they have good deals, especially if you use coupons and M-perks, and because the quality of their food is as good or better than the other chains in this area. The only time that I have encountered an unpleasant employee was at the meat counter and because a manager heard it, I received a $5.00 off my shopping that day. But usually if you treat the employees with common respect, the will respond pleasantly to you. The department store area is well organized and usually well stocked except around Christmas season. The general cleanliness of the store varies according to the time of day that you get there but I have never seen any serious cleanliness issues in the past 15 years that I have been going there. read more

This Meijer seems no different than the rest. I shop here for my normal routine groceries and also mark down/clearance items. Their lawn & garden section is usually well stocked and more often than not I find what I need here. For produce and any rare/specialty food items I go up the road to Rt. 4, but everyday shopping here is fine. Sure you might save $.10 on an item here & there going to the nearest Wal-Mart, but at least the customers aren't shady! And if you do your shopping homework Meijer comes out quite price competitive. read more
