I had my first eye exam at Meijer a little over a year ago. I was hoping to be able to read without reading glasses. The first trial contacts were good. I could read, but, not see well at night. Well, I shouldn't have said anything, cuz, he ordered another trial pair, but I couldn't read! When I told him to go back to the 1st trial pair, he sat in the chair, flipping my card over and back. Over and back. He couldn't find the 1st prescription! He ordered another pair that were not right! When I went back, I was told he retired! I told the clerk to just order me the 1st trial contacts. She couldn't find it! I said to just call the company that they were ordered from. I was told that they would know! Or even have the prescription! So, a new eye doctor, at the same Meijer in Three Rivers, says; I am going to go a different way. I CAN NOT READ WITH THEM. So, I spent my money on an exam for nothing!! read more

If you're already headed west out of Gaylord anyway, this Meijer is very conveniently located. This relatively new store has spacious aisles, and the low Meijer prices we've come to love. The produce section and the dairy section are miles apart, which encourages one to walk through the entire store for "just the basics," but then, you often see something else that was on your mental shopping list, or find something that you didn't realize you needed until you saw it. There is a Subway at the front of the store, near the produce section. Just don't let your glove box catch fire in their parking lot! Their employees will get in trouble if they don't follow company policy to help you out. read more

We live in a town that only has a Walmart and a Family Fare. We refuse to shop at Walmart for a long list of reasons. The Family Fare is alright, but the selection is lacking and the produce is never fresh. This store has such a huge selection of everything! A whole aisle of hummus! Seriously? What's not to love about that? We stocked up on fresh veggies and fun foods that we can't get back at home and we are happy! The lines are short, and the cashier wax very efficient and friendly. The store was very ran and organized. We will be back when we Are in town again. read more

My elderly mom fell and broke her glasses. She needed a quick fix. We stopped by Meijer Optical in Gaylord, and Emily Albright was absolutely amazing - she was so helpful, cheerful, and kind. Meijer always deserves 5 stars if you are a true MITTEN loyalist such as myself. If you can't give Meijer that respect then move to some second rate place like Oklahoma you heathen. This one, though, is especially clean. One problem is that, if you aren't from Gaylord and are coming from the highway, it is so far out of town that you start to think you must have missed it and all of its glory through some tragic mishap ALL HAIL MEIJER!!!! read more

We started using the Meijer Pharmacy after moving to Monroe six months ago, what a mistake. There is almost always a long line, and they often do not have my medication(pretty common Ned) in stock. Today after requesting a medication to be filled and waiting a half hour for it, I was told that they requested the wrong prescription to be filled. Time to find a new pharmacy, as in my opinion, this pharmacy is poorly managed and led. read more

This Meijer is a little nicer than the one I use downstate. But it is a fine example of what I come to expect from a Meijer. Friendly staff helped me find something the other day, even though in the end I decided against purchasing it. But I love the Meijer chain and this is a great one. read more

My wife left 5 items at checkout yesterday that we paid for and of course I was selected to return to the store this morning to retrieve them. She had called last evening and informed the store so they were made aware. This morning at 7:30 I returned and went to customer service. Two employees were chatting nearby and I looked over at them and was told "customer service doesn't open until 8am" and turned away. From behind them came 'Diane G" who immediately helped me, including shopping for two items. Kudos to her for recognizing customer service has no time constraints. Nice job. read more

Nice size grocery store. Much better than Walmarts, Walmart's prices are higher than Meijers. I hope Meijer's expands to other states. A lot of other states don't have the luxury of having Meijer's available. read more

I experienced better last year in the same store ! I used to love shopping in Gaylord but the last 3 months I have seen a slow slide into walmart and family fare service. unhappy service people, messy and empty shelves ,stockers who look anywhere but at you is it summer stress ? corporate hour cutting ? or sloppy management at this store. bring back my Meijer to me! read more

I have been shopping at Meijer for a couple years now. With the understanding that not every single shopping experience will be amazing and you might run across an employee having a bad day, this store ranks high on the scale for cleanliness and friendly service. Not to mention the nice low prices. You might find slightly lower prices at Walmart -- but I just won't shop there (that's a whole different review altogether). Meijer is a one stop shopping kinda place and this one stands out. I'm subtracting one star because the store layout can be a bit confusing (this seems to be a familiar complaint among customers). Today November 11th 2014 (11-11-14) a special day in America VETERANS DAY I was shopping at this Meijer and we were purchasing raspberries, 4 cartons to be exact, and we thought there was a limit of 1 carton per customer but, we were wrong because when we (my sister mom and I) went in to get them there was no sign limiting how many raspberries you can buy we proceeded to buy them in the cell scan aisle. The lady at the customer service desk was eyeing us and when we were about to buy the raspberries she said you can only buy 3 cartons. My mom was buying the Roseberry's for more than her self so she told me to just buy them and come back in and get the other carton. (So we were good right) no I grabbed the carton and the Woman addressed us of the limit came over and said I can take those from you and I said it's okay I'm good then she demanded for the box so I gave them to her because I wasn't going to fight over a box of raspberries.after she took them my mom said her excuse me there is no sign I just checked and the lady REFUSED to believe my mom (it's not like company's say the customers always right to employees) the lady said there is a sign you must've not saw it than my mom said are you calling me a liar (She didn't say anything thing like no I'm not) She called her manager (the manager didn't confront us he just went to her little desk and talked to her) and LONG STORY SHORT she ended up telling my mom that the manager said somebody took the sign down that day it's not there anymore and that was all she did to apologize she did not say sorry or anything and I feel like this Meijer is not a good store to shop at read more
