The bakery at this Meijers is absolutely awful!!! We tried to place a custom order, but after submitting 4 different images, we gave up on the custom cake. My daughter went in and just bought a pre made cake instead. When we cut it up to serve it, we found pieces of sliced up plastic inside it. We couldn't serve a single piece for fear of someone getting injured ! We called to let the bakery know what had happened, but we were transferred to a supervisor named Tommy, who got angry with us and began to cuss at us. Needless to say, we will NEVER, EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM MEIJER AGAIN!. I am just thankful that we found the sharp plastic pieces before any one swallowed them. Meijer refused to listen to us and I have NO DOUBT that they have other cakes there with those pieces of sharp plastic in them.UNBELIEVABLE!!! They refused to even check their other cakes. I wasn't the biggest fan of this location and now with the remodel I'm definitely not a big fan. Feels more cramped and I always have a hard time finding what I'm looking for. Basically I go here for the liquor and then head out purchasing nothing else. Liquor selection is alright. read more

The clothing choices and prices are always a pleasant surprise. A huge selection of work clothes, outdoor clothing and NCAA/NFL.

I have been to Meijer's several times since moving to Ohio. It is not the usual grocery store I go to as it is located in Lima,OH and it's about 40 minutes from my home. I do come here on occasion, mostly because it sells items I cannot find in my local grocery stores in town like mojo, Cuban coffee, and other items necessary for me to make food from my culture. Meijer is kinda like Walmart, just nicer. It sells clothes, home decor, garden, pet food and items, and has a drug store. The supermarket is rather large and has a huge flower section. I enjoy shopping here, the only issue I have is with their pickup. It is handled by Shipt. The one time I tried it, they postponed the pickup 4 times! And the last time it was done last minute after I had already made the trip. Not everyone lives a short drive away. If I drove 40 minutes, I better have my items. Besides their pickup problems, it's a good grocery store and one I will return to. read more

Used app to place a curb side pick up. Meijer only had about half of the things I ordered and the final prices were different from when I selected them. My pop was $5 more per 6 pack of bottles. My chips were $6 more per bag. When I contacted them they told me that they could not honor their own sale price. read more

Went into Meijers and the bathrooms were completely disgusting. Toilet paper was on the floor, toilet seats were nasty and others forgot to flush after using the bathroom. This is completely unacceptable and unsanitary read more

I've not had too much troubledissatification with the Lima, Ohio up until this week. We usually on Tuesday or Wednesday of each week. This week I could have just walked out the door leaving my meager shopping car where ever. Why? The store needs to stock its shelves if they expect customers to purchase anything. Granted they were doing inventory but that's not my problem. This week their were a lot of 10 for $10 buys if they had any of their stock on the shelves. I don't know why I wasted my time shopping this week. In addition, please, please, please, check your fresh produce for freshness. There is no way I am going to pay premium prices for cauliflower if the tops have brown age spots on them. Highly dissatisfied this week. I am considering finding somewhere else to shop. Meijers is really an updated Walmart. I don't go to Walmart!! I'm ok with merchandise, for the most part. My biggest pet peeve is self checkouts! They're ok for a small order but even at that, they're a PAIN! read more

It's Meijer. Looked just like every other one I've been to. We needed Mother's Day cards, at the last minute; apparently so did everyone else. We happened to be in Lima for the day and right next door, so we stopped in here. The selection was decent but somewhat picked-over. I like the Meijer stores. They are like Walmart's but different enough to give me a little variety when I go in. They carry their own line of clothes which are similar in quality to White Stag. I was looking at vitamins and found that their vitamin prices seemed higher than Wally's. Since it was back to school time when I went in I had fun looking through the school supplies and bought some items I needed like Scotch tape. I especially like their crafts department and the yarn in particular. They have a much wider variety than Walmart, though certainly not as much as Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann's and Michaels. I like that the yarn they carry is different than what I find at other stores and I love their clearance yarn, plus they have great sales which Walmart never does. I have bought several skeins of yarn in there and now find it kind of fun to wander in and out of different Meijers in the towns I go in to see what they have in the crafts/yarn Department. The reason they don't get more than three stars is because their lines are bad.. They seem to be encouraging people to use the self-scan but I never do well with the self-scan and I always end up needing a clerk to help me anyways so I might as well get it in line, but the lines are usually several people deep with a wait and they don't seem to have lines for people with 10 items and under, at least this location didn't when I asked. I suppose if you use the self service line all the time you get good at it but I usually avoid them so I'm terrible at it. I did find the clerks to be very helpful in answering questions and helping me find things. read more

I generally thumb my nose at large box stores and gravitate toward small grocerys and specialty joints. However, Meijer seems to have scanned my mind and stocked everything I want when shopping. Senseo pods? Get 'em. Royal Basmati Rice? Got it. Great Lakes Brewing Co. beers? Yup. Tofu? Mmmhmmm The prices are solid, and the selection is huge. My only complaint is I couldn't find whiskey in the booze aisle. read more

You can count on moldy fruit in the produce department. Recently my wife was completely disrespected by the entire staff at the customer service desk. She was attempting to get a price correction. A sign was posted that broccoli was $1.49/pound. We were charged $1.49 each. Should have been a simple procedure but thanks to the terribly rude staff it was an awful experience, on mothers day at that. We won't shop at Meijer any more. Oh, we didn't end up with any broccoli at all after making the second trip up there either. read more

I am a long time shopper of Meijer, store was always well stocked. However, things are changing, nothing is stocked well anymore. Stock is on carts sitting in the isles while employes stand around talking. When asking about an item employes respond "that's not my department" or "I don't know". Employees at the deli seem mad about everything; working late, not getting breaks, who is doing or not doing something. They don't listen to what you ask for, don't ask how you want it sliced, they throw the meat/cheese in the bag, they tell you they are out of something when it's right in the case. Some ignore customers because they are talking amongst themselves, happens a lot. I hope things change. read more

The srevice at the gas station in the mornings is mediocre at best. I will not be returning
