Horrible pharmacy to work with. Very unfriendly pharmacists and unimaginably unhelpful. On multiple accounts I have been told a prescription will be ready the day of ( at a certain time) I will head to the pharmacy hours after or the day after my prescription should be ready. I will be told that the prescription isn't ready or hasn't been fulfilled. One time I said that I had spoken with Amy on the phone and she said it would be ready by 2pm. This pharmacy team has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. On three separate occasions I have had staff refuse to help, give incorrect information, and be extremely rude. The most recent interaction the team said the prescription would be ready in 2 hours. I drive back to the pharmacy and they said they wouldn't fill it. It's tough enough having a sick kid and then to have a pharmacy give incorrect information and have to do multiple trips to the store. Not a class act, Meijer Pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy is often very slow. Pharmacist, John B. Very rude! Has a major attitude! Very Poor Customer Service! He refused to fill a medication for my daughter on Oct 6 that was last picked up on Oct 8, the month before. I requested to pick it up Oct 7 for my convenience. He refused my request. Just to be Spiteful! Not helpful! Would not recommend! We only use the pharmacy because it's the closest Meijer store to our home. Went to pick up my prescription and use a coupon, had to go through the line 2 times to find out they wouldn't accept the coupon, said I was on Medicare a government funded insurance, which I am not, tried to explain there was mistake, then he became extremely rude, I called the insurance company and they called meijers, they entered the wrong code on my file which put me in the government funded category, Insurance company verified they fixed my Information, Meijer also refills prescriptions randomly, picked up a script last week that they just filled a week before read more

Meijer is always the best pharmacy... sometimes doctors don't respond quickly but the Meijer pharmacy is always helpful. The new drive thru is a great improvement. They take GoodRx coupons, which is helpful. Also - they can do walk up COVID vaccines. I got mine already but recommended to a friend. read more

I've tried most pharmacies in Holland and the Meijers 16th St Pharmacy is by far the very best. Why do I say this? They have a terrific staff who are always courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and very business-like. Above all, they are patient and helpful to everyone who walks in - people of color, minority ethnic groups, people with great difficulty speaking, people with mobility issues, etc. The difference between this pharmacy and others in Holland is so striking that I have to assume that the staff must have been trained extensively. I have made so many trips there for myself and other family members and I have never come away with a negative experience. I'm aware that buying medicine is not like buying groceries or cosmetics - it is very complicated and regulated. And yet, the staff there always explains things well and doesn't get frustrated with clients who get frustrated and angry. read more

Although there are some genuine staff members, overall terrible service thanks to some of them. They did not notify me of a discontinuity of my birth control even though I called for a refill a week early and they said it was on its way....so I was left without it. They also keep messing up the brand and forget to take old prescriptions off. They sometimes forget to bill my insurance and charge me much more than I should be paying. They are also very rude, especially the technicians who work at the prescription pick-up kiosk. I would not recommend this pharmacy because of their lack of kindness, professionalism, and organization. Half of the technicians don't know what they're doing, which leaves those of us on important medications at risk of not having them when we need them. read more

I had a terrible experience at this business. On Sunday I brought in my medications to be filled. They filled all but one medication and I was told by a pharmacist directly that they would order the med and it would be ready on Tuesday for pickup. I patiently waited until Tuesday and then I went in and was very directly told that they don't carry that medication. I know that not to be true because it's a very commonly prescribed medication and, more importantly, I was just told Sunday by the pharmacist that she had ordered it. So after being told this, I questioned the woman (Christine) and asked why they took my prescription in the first place. She did not even attempt to answer the question, but rather she just repeated, "Sir, we don't carry this medication here." Confused and slightly angry, I left the store. I then brought my prescription to Bunte's pharmacy in Zeeland. It turns out the issue was that because I had two similar types of medications prescribed and had a new insurance the insurance wanted an authorization from my primary care doctor. Bunte's worked with me to resolve this issue. In short, my two complaints are that 1. I was directly lied to by Meijer pharmacy because they did not want to take the extra time to resolve this issue. After this issue I called them anonymously and was told they had the medication after I was just told the day before they don't carry it. 2. I was denied prescribed medication by a Dr. for no good reason. read more

Since it's not possible to rate this pharmacy 2 1/2 stars I'll round up to 3 stars. Overall, yep it's a pharmacy nothing exciting going on here. The reason I'd prefer a 2 1/2 star rating instead of a 3 star rating is because when I stopped in a couple weeks ago to get a new prescription filled while I was shopping they never bothered to ask me if I had any questions about the new medication which I did. Even though they didn't ask me I asked my question and at that point then a pharmacist quickly came over to make sure I received the instructions I needed since it was my first time using this new medicine. Yeah, I got the information I needed, but at most other pharmacies they would have asked me instead of letting me have to initiate the discussion. Not a terrible experience, but there is room for some improvement here. Oh, they also misplaced my medical insurance card and had to search for that for a few minutes which again it's not a major deal, but just another area where they could improve their processes some to provide better service. read more

I have used Walgreens for years for my family. I have run into many issues with them "restocking" my prescription because I did not inform them when I was picking up my meds, which I pay $100/month for. Five days after they called to tell me it was ready, they restocked and sold to someone else. Then told me the meds were on back order and I would have to wait til Monday. Now Monday they say they will let me know when its in. Meanwhile I am now on day 2 with no meds that I take morning and night. I work the hours my pharmacy is open so Saturday is the only day I can catch them right as I leave work. Needless to say I attempted to call Meijer. I was on hold for 8 minutes, someone answered and as I asked if they had my meds in stock , I got the dial tone. Called back and waited another 7 1/2 min. Someone answered and put me on hold again to see if they had my meds. I waited another 3 1/2 minutes for them to tell me the cost of the meds. When I explained the situation and told her I wanted to change pharmacies but wanted to ensure they had the meds and not back ordered like Walgreens, I was again put on hold. 3 minutes later someone else answered and said they would have to order it for tomorrow pick up. So over 20 minutes for someone to tell me that it would have to be ordered as it was not in stock. Not a good first impression. I will call Walgreens to see when it will be in there before transferring as I am not 100% comfortable Meijer is going to be less hassle. read more
