My absolute favorite place for a mani and pedi. I take my elderly mother-in-law and the staff treats her like gold. Personally, the salon is immaculate and the nail technicians are excellent. The price for a mani-pedi is extremely reasonable. The staff will bend over backwards to make you happy. My daughter and I are on our way there today. read more

TL;DR: Friendly and inexpensive, but service is basic, nail art wasn't perfect, and nails chipped in 2 days. Ok for a quick clean up,but I won't return. This was a decent experience, but I won't be back. My friend and I had manicure appointments, and they were running long with other customers, so she sat at a station and I was brought to a pedicure chair to get started while I waited for the chair next to hers to open up. My nails needed to be cut down (one had broken recently), and two of them ended up shorter than the rest. Not as noticeable because they're on the short side now, but it would really irk me if they had still been longer. The service was friendly, quick, and efficient - hardly a "spa" level experience, however, the price was on par with what we received ($17). I asked for a very basic detail on my ring fingers, and while one looks good, the other came out a bit sloppy. I didn't bother having them redo it, but I wouldn't trust them to do anything complicated, and definitely not for a special occasion. Finally, and this is why I won't be returning, my polish started chipping only 48 hours after my visit. I know it was a basic manicure, but the only thing I've done with my hands in that time is wash a few dishes. My cheap polish at home lasts longer than that, and I'm pretty disappointed. read more

The owner Jenn is fantastic. She's owned nail salons for the last decade and this one has been here for about three years. She really cares about her customers and tries to get to know you. I was going to her for years before she opened Meinas. I lost touch with her when I went away for school so it was such a treat to find her welcoming me into Meinas when I walked in. At first I didn't recognize her but she remembered me by name! I haven't seen her in probably five years! I worked with another gentleman for my pedicure and he was pleasant to work with. He really took his time. They were fairly inexpensive to boot. In all honesty, I don't like gel polish. I think it leaves my nails much thinner once removed. So it is hard to find a salon that still uses acrylic- which Jenn does. They only have four chairs for pedicures and four for manicures. This is just an assumption but make an appointment during peak hours. read more

Meina's nails was recommended to me on Facebook and I'm so glad I decided to try it out. I have gone there about 7-8 times since December (thats a lot when only being home every so often from college) and I have never been disappointed. I HIGHLY recommend making an appointment because it'll make your experience go smoothly! I have some pictures I added of powder manicures I've gotten and they have never disappointed. A super cheap price for dip powder and it comes out amazing. I have seen Jennifer and Joyce and they are both incredible!!! read more

I used to LOVE going to meinas and it was always very consistent. I stopped in Monday for a gel manicure and pedicure. My appointment was at 615 and I was out by 650. My pedicure was less than 15 minutes, no leg massage either. Two paint coats and an extremely sloppy top coat on HALF on my bigger toes. My gel manicure was rushed.. again no hand massage. When I got home I noticed fuzz was sticking to my nails and it was because she didn't even put a top coat on them! Went back the next day and all I got was a top coat on my hands and toes, also while seeing someone get a nice, relaxing pedicure. It's been TWO days since my 55$ gel manicure and pedicure and my nails look awful on vacation. Safe to say I will most definitely not be back read more

This was my third time going to the salon, each for a different service, and every time has been beyond perfect. The place is immaculate, Jennifer the owner and the rest of her stuff we're so attentive, and did such a great job. I have to say, I wasn't sure what to expect, it was my first time getting my nails done professionally, and it was great! I'm 17 btw. My aunt brought me there, and I am so happy she did. Jen was doing my nails today and I got a French Manicure and I love it, aswell I got gel tips, my nails were short and horrible as I bite them, but they look lovely now. She did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and also really talented at what she did. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to treat themselves and it is such a relaxed atmosphere, and they really do their best at fitting you in, you can book your appointment or I saw a couple of people just walk in, but they were all tended to in a short amount of time. read more

I used to go there regularly, since they where open, and took my 4 grandchildren, neighbors, friends, family, and cousins there. They used to do such a good job. I am blown away that the didn't even put a top coat on and my pedicure was less than 20 minutes long. I used to go for the longest time, and I am disappointed with the way the they changed. Some of the employees, Jennifer, still do a okay job. I am very disappointed with the outcome of my nail job. Before a mani/pedi was at least 1 hour long. but now it's less than 40 minutes for 2 people to get it done.And I swear ,the lollipops are bad. They where all opened and tasted odd. read more

I have been waiting for a better experience and to give a good review but after going for over two years faithfully every two weeks I am finally fed up. I started off just getting gel powder, my nails would never last two weeks. They were always crooked and all different lengths. I wouldn't notice right away until I got home. So then I tried gel polish, peeled off after a few days... then I tried acrylics, and that was the last straw. They have never let me nails dry enough, they would always rush me out so when I got home my nails would smudge. I would always get told by my mom or husband go back and have them fix it. Why would I go back to the place that messed them up in the first place??? No thanks. The last straw was a couple weeks ago. I walked in told them I wanted to get my nails done for my brothers wedding coming up. Within two hours my nail polish bubbled up and smudged off.... I have never seen nail polish do that before .... done done done. The following week I went to a different salon and they only do UV gel because acrylics are really unhealthy and bad for your nails , they kept looking at my nails telling me whoever did them last really didn't do good. Not only did they always mess up my nails but their "spa" isn't a spa experience at all.... one of the workers is a male and always goes outside for smoke breaks. It's a small place. I've gotten a lot of manicures and pedicures in my day. I could guess that I've tried upwards of 200 different salons in the last 15 years. Meinas tops the charts. I received what I consider to be the best pedicure I've ever gotten and it only cost 23 dollars ($30- I left a 7 dollar tip- it was THAT good). The whole atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Despite it being a small space, it felt very open. Everything in the salon was brand new and very high quality. The massage pedicure chair gave an excellent quality massage that was highly customizable. The pedicure included a soak, nail maintenance, scrub, 15 minute leg massage (it actually was 15 min long!) with lotion, hot stone rub down, hot towel run down, paraffin heel treatment, and polish. My manicurist was extremely good at his job. My feet feel satin smooth, my toes look fantastic. They were a great balance of polite but not too chatty and allowed me to relax and unwind. I can't wait to go for another service there soon! Meinas is relatively new to Watertown, taking up residence next to the Watertown Cinema- and I really, really hope they stay there for a long time! read more

I love Meinas! I was going to a couple different places around Watertown when my friend asked me to go get our nails done together here. I don't mind trying different places, so I went with her. GLAD I did! This place is awesome! Jenn (the owner) is so sweet! She loves when I come in with my besty because she loves hearing how chatty we are, how much we laugh etc. She always jokes when one of us is by ourselves because we are quiet and barely say two words. The pedicures here are fantastic too and leave my feet smooth for awhile before I have to get another one. Jenn always makes sure my nails are looking good and she knows exactly what I like them to look like so I barely ever have to tell her what I want. She also does a great job on the designs! You also get a complimentary back rub while your nails are drying or what not. It's a nice change of atmosphere and I like it when the owner actually gets to know their customers and makes them feel welcome! read more

I have to say this is the first nail salon I've been to where I don't feel uncomfortable. I walk in the door and Jennifer the owner says hi, and always knows my name. She also remembers who I usually come with. I'll walk in by myself and she'll ask me where mom is or my son. Never forgets anyone! That aside. I never feel like the people are talking about me in their language. There isn't that annoying jabber going on. Now my mani and pedis are amazing! They always come out perfect, and who can complain about the massage when you are sitting at the dryers. Lol! I have to say to spend a little more once and a while and get the spa pedi. It was amazing. The extra stuff that is added onto the regular pedi is amazing!!! I was sitting there for over an hour, and there was nothing that was left out. I went to get a gel manicure recently. The man who was doing my nails smelt like an ashtray. It was not pleasant getting my nails done. I had to keep leaning back to feel comfortable from the smell. I also did not get the warm towels or the wax that they normally do when you get a gel manicure. 3 days later my nails were chipping so I went back. Again, nails are completely chipped and 2 completely came off. Gel manicure does not last. Owner is very friendly, but wouldn't recommend gel manicure there. read more

This review is based solely on their eyebrow threading. Do NOT go here for threading! I get my eyebrows threaded all the time, and figured I would try this place since it's closer to home. Big mistake!!! First off, they did not have me stretch the eyebrow as that's the first thing they normally make you do when you get them done, then she threaded hair by hair, making it 10x more painful. My eye were watering from the pain, and then she pretty much plucked to get the shape- which the shape isn't even arched!! She messed up my eyebrows completely, made the experience more painful than ever, and my skin feels raw and hurts to the touch. They do a nice job with nails, but never trust an Asian to do an Indians job!!!! read more
