It's been about 6yrs that I've been coming to Alina's. Typically I make an appointment with Jessica, Connie or Lina (all fabulous). The salon is bright, very clean and you don't feel cramped in. I've only witnessed very clean & appropriate sanitation methods. I purchased a "box" to keep my own nail files etc in it. The staff is friendly and also asks about my baby & mom, who frequently will get her nails done with them when in town. The male owner lifted his mask, picked his nose, rolled and flung the booger then continued my pedicure without washing his hands. The lady doing my gel manicure was really rough on my dry cuticles, but my hands look great! read more

I will never go back. Today I went for two uv gel repairs and a fill. I ended up there for two hours and fifteen minutes! 2.25 HOURS. I wanted to get gel polish over my repaired and filled nails but I had work. Ive been to many salons for uv gel and it's never taken over an hour. I was worked on by two people. The owner and another woman. The owner Jim tried to take my REAL NAIL off of my finger with an unsanitary cut piece of a metro card, and after me expressing multiple times that it hurt and that was my REAL nail, he cut the nail all the way down. I've been growing my nails for weeks for Christmas. The other woman who worked on me was slow but didn't listen to any requests. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had. This was my third time giving them chances. On other occasions I've had my skin cut open, cuticles filed so much my finger bleed and my nails cut when I told them absolutely not too. Don't waste your money. My thumb nails aren't even even or straight. read more

God help me for going back after 2 years. I found a clipped red nail in my silver file kit 2 years ago and have not been back since today..... The idiot that I am, I took my daughter to Lina's for a mani as she likes the people. once the "girl" started to cut my cuticles, she jerked the cuticle cutter back and low and behold, she still had my skin attached. Needless to say, I bled like a pig, blood all over the floor and refused to have her continue. On the other hand, the male owner was doing my daughter's nails in between leaving to answer the phone, finally passed her off to another girl that was free and was aware of the entire thing. When I went up to pay for my daughter, you would think he would have said " I'm so sorry for what happened, come back for a free manicure. Of course not. Not for anything but I have been going to them on and off since they opened about 8 years ago. Go elsewhere in Watertown, I recommend Golden Nails on Main Street, no dirty red nail clippings and no cutical bleeding. read more

I absolutely love Lina's. Of all the nail salons that I have ever been to; I have never had nails done with such care and consideration as I do at Lina's. Not only is their work high quality, but it lasts for SO long compared to other salons. A typical gel manicure (my bi-weekly staple) can actually last anywhere from 3-4 weeks if you are taking care of your hands. Since this place is a gem in a small town, the business is always booming, so I make sure to call ahead of time to get an appointment. Everyone is very welcoming and kind, prices are more than reasonable, and the quality and care cannot be beat. Highly recommend. read more

They always do a good job here. The only real problem I have is that it's so small inside and can get so busy. The staff are quiet and not really interested in getting to know you. But the manis and pedis always come out nice. The total for a gel mani and regular pedicure was $56 when I went yesterday - a little pricey for me. read more

awesome staff. Only been here once but this will be my forever go to nail salon from now on. I got a pedicure and she did so well! Very thorough with everything and great leg message. she even have me a shoulder & neck message when my nails were drying. Also, they don't pry out annoying questions like the usual salon worker. like, no one wants to discuss why they dont have a boyfriend and a shitty retail job to a complete stranger. They also didnt talk amongst each other in another language like the other places, where i cant help but to think they're talking shit. Highly recommend! read more

I love Lina's! They are very friendly and always accommodating. Clean facility. I have had several of the employees do my nails, and everyone does a great job. At the drawing table, there's a great almond scented quick dry spray that I love using. It's good for me since I usually nick my nails on the way out and this prevents it! There's a Starbucks across the street, so it's nice to go there and then get my nails done. Lina's is number one in my book! read more

My gels always last the longest when I get them done here! They are always so polite while doing my nails. I get a massage from almost every worker there. Not to mention how clean and relaxing it is in the nail salon. I would suggest coming here for your next manicure. Prices are great and service is outstanding! read more

Every couple of months I decide to give this place another chance. The girls are surly and talk about customers and ridicule their color choices in Spanish (because we're so stupid, we can't speak their language). Today, the woman doing my pedicure hurt me multiple times because she was very rough and she cut my toe. I stopped the pedicure and said I only wanted a polish change. Despite complaining and telling the cashier that I only had a polish change, I was charged full price. No apology. No accommodation, and the woman who waited on me was exceptionally rude and denied hurting me -- I screamed when she cut me and everyone there stopped and looked. No owner or manager came over to ask if I was ok. And prior to her cutting me, I asked her to be more gentle because, as I said, she was very rough and hurt me. Never again read more

I called and scheduled an appointment to get a gel full set of nails as well as a pedicure from Lina's. When I got there, the gentleman at the front counter began discussing prices of everything and giving the impression that I probably couldn't afford the $125 charge. He continued to add on prices and talk to me in a tone making me feel as though my business wasn't wanted. I was in professional attire with a $2000 Louis Vitton bag on my shoulder. So I'm very unsure how he would think the price was too outrageous for me. I said never mind and walked out. I went to a place up the road and saved $20. I had no problem paying Lina's prices, but don't treat me as though I'm on welfare and can't afford it. Very disappointed and will not be going back. read more

I know with Asian salons, they don't talk much and I am absolutely fine with that, but this place didn't speak to me at all. I walked in on a not so busy week day and I sat down with someone, but when I decided I wanted a french gel manicure, they had to change girls and I felt like they weren't too happy about that. I will say though that 3 people massaged me through out my manicure. It was good, and the gels came out well but they went a bit too close to my cuticle which you're not suppose to do with gel I believe. 4 star, but could have been better and more polite service. read more

The only thing nice at Linas is the pretty atmosphere and cleanliness. As far as the services, i will never go there again. Two years ago i went for a pedicure and the technician cut my foot by filing it down too much. It was pretty sore for several days. There are so many nail places in the area, i just found another place to go. Recently i was given a gift certificate to Linas. Because of my past experience, i hesitated to use it. After thinkjng about it for awhile, i decided to just go and use my certificate for a pedi. Well.....guess what the same thing happened! Yes, another bloody experience and very sore toe ! My daughter and I went on a quiet Sunday with an appointment. This "was" our favorite place, but no longer. No one speaks with you. There's no "customer service" as in tea or beverages. The manicurist I had "rushed" through the process like a robot. There was no attempt to make the experience luxurious. My daughter's manicurist took her time, spoke with her, and gave her a massage. Mine walked away as soon as I was done. I waited for 30 minutes for my daughter to finish and we started at the same time.... Plus their prices went up, way up. We're going somewhere else. I have been going to this nail salon for over 5 years and after today I will never step foot there again. I went in for a pedicure and shortly after I picked my color the girl waved me to sit on the chair. She did not greet me or even look at me in the eye , as if she was forced to work there. She starts to clean my cuticles, mind you it had been over 3 wks since my last pedicure , so there was some cleaning to do !!!!! She spent less than 2 min to clean both of my feet...if you are someone who gets pedicures regularly, you know that there's a great deal of care and attention that is required to clean the cuticles and a rushed pedicure is never a good one, certainly not relaxing. There was no foot massage , no scrub ...just slapped some lotion on my feet , oil and wiped it off with a hot towel! There was no communication , no eye contact and did not even ask me if I wanted my nails cut.... i proceed to sit on the drying station and she attempts to give me a massage which I refused....I went in for a good pedicure which I did not get, not a massage! I was so anxious to just leave and not even wait for my nails to dry because I was so annoyed and aggravated. I contemplated whether I should tip the girl or not and I decided not too. I have NEVER had to walk away from a service and not tip, but today was the day. Here is the best part: i payed for my service and told the owned (or whoever he is ) at the register that it was one of the worst , rushed pedicures I have ever had. He smiles and does not respond ....Not even an apology or at least pretend that he cared about what I had to say. I told him I will not return ...again looking at me dumb founded - there are plenty of other nail salons that will be glad to take my money and do a better job . There are plenty of other nails salons that care about customer service and satisfying their customer and answering to anyone who is not happy ...LINAS NAILS CLEARLY DOES NOT CARE THAT THEY LOST A CUSTOMER BECAUSE THEY HAVE TURNED INTO A MEDIOCRE MALL NAIL SALON ...no etiquette , no customer service and definitely lacks professionalism in their management. read more
