If you're looking for tax problems, this is the place to go. This man does not care. In fact, if you read his bio, which is placed all over the Internet (obviously by him), it states that he is licensed in Israel. He's been here 16 years and can't seem to get a CPA license. I understand that one can get an audit whether or not they use an accountant but this was done because of his reckless style. I would say that everyone makes mistakes and move on but the worst part of it is, an accountant is supposed to represent you during an audit if they were your accountant when the return was actually filed. This guy decided to claim that he didn't prepare my taxes at all and that if his name was on it, I must have forged it. As if I'm going to put his name on something when he didn't touch it and send it to the IRS. He's unaccountable and his lie almost caused me even more problems. Luckily, the IRS didn't fall for this, but I still got my audit. When confronted with his actions, Mier decided to lie even more to try to distance himself from the problems he caused. Pathetic. He is the Unaccountable Accountant. I suppose I should take part of the blame for moving forward with him. I could have backed out when I saw that the shabby little hut he works out of doubles as his office for some sort of home remodeling business and there were two or three other side businesses that he ran out of the building. Or when I noticed the odor coming from the building. Or the fact that he didn't even have a pen. He borrowed mine to write on the greasy bag of his fast food meal. I could literally go on for days, but what's the point? You either trust him when he's not licensed or you don't. Maybe you could take a look at all the reviews that say he's wonderful. I'm guessing his friends and family wrote those because, suspiciously, they have the same style of grammar he does. Or you can read the reviews that are not recommended by Yelp at this time. That typically means that they don't believe that was really a customer that wrote it. So he wrote them or had his friends write them. Fake wonderful reviews to fool us into spending money with him. My favorite fake review? Hands down, the one from the self-proclaimed "savvy businessman with no time for small talks". Ok. How about regular sized talks? Or is it just the big ones? I bet he'll once again claim he never did my taxes when he reads this review. Caveat Emptor, my friends. I don't know about you but, from now on, I'm going to deal with people licensed by the country in which I'm filing my taxes. read more
