The belt-level system gives a clear structure to their progress, which keeps them motivated and excited to keep learning. The senseis are incredibly supportive, always ready to help, and do a fantastic job making sure each kid feels confident and valued. The owner is very hands-on and dedicated to continuously improving the program and boosting interest in such an impactful learning experience. From Roblox Club on Fridays to video game development classes, there's always something new and exciting. We've also heard about a new program in partnership with the Girl Scouts, designed specifically to make girls feel more comfortable in tech environments that are often male-dominated. This is such a great initiative to make tech more accessible and appealing for girls who might feel intimidated by classes that are mostly boys. If you're looking for a fun, educational, and supportive place for your kids to grow in coding and tech skills, Code Ninjas Studio City is a fantastic choice!

It is literally the only enrichment program that they crave…read more Like I walk into the kitchen at 6 am and they are at the table, highlighting their scripts and working on memorizing lines, while in the 1st and 3rd grades, respectively. Or, they are writing illustrated fan fiction about what happens next in Midsummer. Or, they are educating ME about what's really going on in the Scottish Play. Or, they are taking their practical production knowledge and writing scripts and staging productions at school/in the neighborhood during their downtime. Being part of this program, being a self-identified "Shakespeare Kid" has become a cornerstone of both of their identities. And, they love the connections they make year after year with other drama kids who share their interests. As a parent, I value how intimate and how educational this particular program is. I love how hard they have to work, but how it inspires them to find the joy in their labor. And it's gratifying watching them forge new and fulfilling relationships with diverse people (kids of different ages, working actors, directors, homeschool kids, etc.) Rebekah, the owner, knows how to coax out the very best from these kids. And, as a parent herself, she gets what is needed to provide a safe, fun, educational space.

In the process of creating a fully realized Shakespeare production, they are self-motivated to work hard on everything from learning lines and cues to creating costumes and props and they have so much fun along the way. The teachers are organized, competent, enthusiastic, patient, and compassionate. We've been involved in other Shakespeare programs for kids and this one is by far THE BEST!
