Absolutely incredible Studio; an unparalleled environment for growth and expression for artists…read more From the faculty to the culture, you can't ask for a more rewarding experience. FACULTY: During my 2-year technique program I had both Anne Dremann and DW Brown. Two of the greatest instructors you can possibly have. My amazing growth is directly due to their hard work, knowledge and dedication to the art. And that goes for any instructor at Baron/Brown, I have had substitutes as well as private coachings from other instructors at the studio, and all of them are extremely hard working and dedicated. Any one of them would be willing to give you the world if you were willing to work for it, and it's truly inspiring to have that kind of support. I can't be more thankful and indebted to their devotion to the art. CULTURE: Hard work, that is all that is asked of you and if you bring that, your abilities and growth can be limitless. Everyone is welcome with open arms at Baron/Brown, a wonderfully diverse environment where everyone can thrive and build a true foundation for a long career in acting. The Studio makes a priority to diversity and it shows, such a wonderful experience to grow with so many students from so many cultures and backgrounds, and that allows for the most beautiful art I've ever witnessed, to be created . I couldn't recommend this Studio more to anyone looking to build a true, long lasting foundation in acting. Not JUST the Meisner technique, but Joanne Baron, who herself is an absolute Godsend to those of us striving for knowledge and striving for greatness; she learned directly from Esper himself, meaning this is the truest form of the technique you can possibly learn from today. The studio does not teach you to "act" or to even "react" ....but to LIVE it. My time at Baron/Brown was an incredible life changing experience, and that is all due to the staff, the unmatched instructors who give their ALL and to the studio as a whole. No matter who you are or where you are from, Baron/Brown WILL create, with open arms, an everlasting artistic foundation in you. From my own experience: Hard work is the foremost talent, if you bring that, then achieving great things, is not a matter of possibility....but a matter of time.

Studying here for 2…read moreyears has built me a strong foundation of understanding and confidence that allows for consistency in creating art from all aspects of producing a project. Additionally the community of artists, from students and teachers I've come across made the journey so much fun even during challenging times. I am forever grateful to this studio for bringing me a new family and for being apart of this artistic legacy!

But I felt so intimated by my new machine. I ticked it away for years but I saw an email for a Moving Thread beginner 4-week workshop. 3 hours each session. Last night was class 1 of 4. My class was six ladies aged from mid 20s to late 60s. One never sewed. Two hand sewed. And two of us used machines 20 and 30 years ago and one lady had a machine and used it but felt intimidated. So we were all pretty nervous about our fledgling sewing skills. But the class was paced perfectly and by the end of our first class we successfully completed beautiful reversible totes! The workshop is $550 and it's a great value: project 1 tote, project 2 zipper pouch, project 3 pants (two classes). Our instructor was warm, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, helpful. My only drawback are the chairs. They're not comfortable for me and my leg felt like it wanted to go numb. No one else seemed uncomfortable so maybe it's just me. I'll try a seat cushion to see if it'll help. I brought my machine with me so I could learn how to use it but my husband actually bought the same Heavy Duty Singer sewing machine provided in the class for student use. All the equipment, accessories, fabric needed is provided by the class. You only need to show up. No good or drink allowed in classroom but water is okay. Be sure to enter the rear entrance let the instructions in your student information email. Because to show up on time. Basically no make classes. So if you sign up be sure you're schedule is free for the specified time period. If you're thinking of taking a quick afternoon class or a full workshop I highly recommend you give Moving Thread a try. The instructor we had last night has her own fashion label and is highly knowledgeable but gave us very easy instructions that us newbies could follow. The was patient with our foibles and created an atmosphere of grace and fun. I look forward to my to rest of classes Eventually I look forward to trying the advanced class offerings too. I've hit my eye on the alterations class.

I found all of this in Light. He provides his guidance over 4 consecutive days in 2hr lessons and I really felt after the classes that I had learned not only the fundamentals behind Vedic meditation but why it has such a positive impact in one's life and what to expect initially as a beginner meditator. I came out of the classes eager to meditate twice a day and I have not only consistently done it, but I look forward to my meditation sessions. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to meditate on their own and be able to understand meditation and its benefits.

For those of us who are wanting to level up their own skills sets so that they can enhance their career (and progress upwards into new possibilities), this is a great fundamental class that introduces you to the product manager style of thinking. What enriches the class are the in-class discussion topics on trends and sharing of professional and personal experiences. A key take away is to understand the different point of views that people are expressing themselves. Point of views are influenced by experiences, culture, and circumstances, and its always great to have this insight. I also did enjoy Lenworth - he made it relatable and he was quite approachable. Good times.

These two items are critical to your success, in addition to what you put into it. I have taken 2 courses so far: Data Analytics and Product Management. Both instructors (Andy Chu and Lenworth Gordon) have been outstanding - they really make Product School worth it from a teaching stand point. Both are established Product Managers and make the course more than the material. Andy specializes in Data Analytics and gives you a good analytical approach to Product First Thinking. Lenworth is on the money in terms of Product Management principles and helped us outside of class to network and grow professionally. Both instructors get you focused for a possible job transition if you put in the effort. I highly recommend both instructors if you see a class available with either of them. The cohorts have been good and the teams focused on classwork. I think we meshed well for the most part and it is good for networking outside of class too. The only downsides about Product School: The courses are fast! You have to put in the time and effort to get every dollar out of them. The teachers will help, but make sure to invest all your available resources to get that value out of your time. Also, the classroom we had was not good. They should use another location (I told them that directly). Additionally, the course material for Data Analytics needs to be built out a little more. Andy really helped to make the course material a better product and deliver true value (see what I did there :)). Just to note, I will be taking 3rd course in Digital Marketing.
