Or, they are writing illustrated fan fiction about what happens next in Midsummer. Or, they are educating ME about what's really going on in the Scottish Play. Or, they are taking their practical production knowledge and writing scripts and staging productions at school/in the neighborhood during their downtime. Being part of this program, being a self-identified "Shakespeare Kid" has become a cornerstone of both of their identities. And, they love the connections they make year after year with other drama kids who share their interests. As a parent, I value how intimate and how educational this particular program is. I love how hard they have to work, but how it inspires them to find the joy in their labor. There's an artificial turf soccer field. There are also batting cages? But I don't really know the details there. There is a large dirt track around four baseball fields. Around the track there are various pieces of exercise equipment. Be aware, there are always a ton of dogs. A lot of them off leash. The main reason this place gets four stars though is that there isn't enough parking and the parking there is, is terrible.
