I just moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Jupiter and found this practice after reading reviews on Yelp. I had my first appointment last week and was extremely impressed with the office staff, decor, and ease of doing business with them. I had to have several suspicious areas con my face checked out and the PA was excellent. She patiently explained what each area was; some were hereditary benign things that required no treatment and the others were frozen and will be watched for future recurrence. I have already recommended this practice to my boyfriend and neighbors. read more

I am so relieved and lucky to have found Dr Mejia at Jupiter Dermatology! I've been going there for about 5 years and I'm always satisfied with my appointments. Most recently, Dr Mejia helped to fix my face after a plastic surgeon did a very aggressive "test spot" of an IPL laser and ended up scarring me terribly. Dr. Mejia is a very good doctor. He is very knowledgeable in the field of dermatology and was able to answer all my questions. He is very friendly and makes sure all his procedures are done right and that his patients are happy. Very disappointed in this practice. Their billing system is fraudulent. I went for a cosmetic benign mole removal, and paid out of pocket since they said insurance didn't cover. They shaved it, no sutures. Took a total of one minute. They still billed my insurance company. Since I have a deductible I was charged for that too. I called the office to let them know it was a mistake. They said they spoke directly with Dr Mejia and that's what I owe. I notified the insurance company and provided receipt of proof that I paid out of pocket. Really upsetting. So I've paid almost $600 for a little shave of a mole. Never going back. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Mejia's for many years. I have had Botox-Juvederm from him before it was really popular. He is excellent. The nerve blocking method he uses for Juvederm, makes it so much better. Also Dr Mejia LISTENS to what you want! Now, for the best part. I have had a great deal of skin damage from the sun. Dr Mejia did a CO2 treatment on my face and neck that I can promise you looks better than a facelift! He is a very compassionate person, and as I said, he listens to what I have to say! Most unprofessional Office I have ever been to. The Dr. seemed very good but office staff very unorganized. They seem to have a problem with opening a chart and reading their own notes. The office girl called on 6/24/15 to state I should have been seen back in Feb. yet didn't know that I was in the office in March. The lab reports they were going to call me with in March visit still has not been called to me in June. When the office girl called today to blatantly say you have cancer and have to bee seen (4 months after 1st appointment) she used scare tactic to get me to come back. This was for a spot the Dr had removed. Do you really let the office girl tell you a diagnosis like this? I was asked if I got my old medical records after signing a form for them to request them. I was told if I went to another Dr that they would have to know who it was so they could close my chart. Much more to be unhappy about but to many things to list. Only gave 1 star because I can't post without at least 1. read more

During the consultation, I was told IPL Photofacial treatment should be able to get rid of the age spots on my hands. So, I bought an IPL package treatment package that includes three times of treatments. After the whole series of the treatments (they even added one more treatment for free) but nothing is changed! Then, they told me because of the color of my age spot is not dark enough for the IPL machine to identify. I wonder if this was the case, why didn't they tell me before I bought the treatment?! read more
