I left a voice mail one night while he was the "on call" after hours emergency doctor. After one call left on his voice mail where I may have said something that hurt this man's ego, he decided to get back at me by completely cutting me off from refilling my medication. This was not only completely unethical but to make matters worse, the drug I had been taking for almost 2 decades can not just be stopped, it can cause serious health issues such as hallucinations, seizure, tremor, intense anxiety and possible death. To make matters worse, he has his wife working in the office answering phones. She was the one who he had break the news to me that I was cut off from being a patient, and would not refill anymore scripts. My doctor, whom I will not name, that is extremely popular in the Okemos/ Greater Lansing area, was completely disgusted and dumbfounded when I told her what he had done, and hence began writing these scripts for me. God bless her. Also, on a side note. He has a brother that is a GP in the area that he absolutely hates. Same last name, He was so unprofessional he actually started running him down to me during one of our "15 minute" sessions, yes his own brother, during my time ran him down, called him a loser and some other choice words. I would think twice if considering this man for your mental health physician. He's a real piece of shit.

There is no one size fits all when it comes to diagnosing and I love that she is so personable. The tests she recommended helped to figure out what was going on in my body. Jordan the office manager has been nothing but rude, antagonistic, a bully etc etc ever since I have been a patient. He tries to frustrate me, he overall is catty and honestly shouldn't be in healthcare let alone mental health. He even threatened to have my mom arrested and dragged out of the building. She is so sweet and just wanted to smooth everything out. He yelled at me bc I wouldn't tell him where I was for him to send cops to me on a welfare check. I never threatened anyone or myself. He just loves to make me look unstable. After that was my telehealth appointment at 8am he expired the link at 802am and proceeded to call me a liar when I had 2 other people next to me and a log that he refused to look at. This is dangerous behavior for an employee of mental health to do. He then discharged me and refused to give me the 30 day refills on all meds and hung up on me. Now I'm in a psychotic break and Pure Psychiatry will be held liable. Unfortunately my NP whom I love. I have filed a complaint with LARA, police, and Medicaid. This person is sadistic. I would NOT go to the Lansing location just bc of this office manager Jordan. He's always been courteous, listening to my concerns and is very educated in his field. One time I suggested upping one of my son's meds and Dr Ahmed explained how that particular med needed to be used and prescribed a different med which turned out to be what was needed. He is a psychiatrist, not a psychologist. If you're looking for someone to listen to all your problems go to a psychologist. Dr Ahmed is there to prescribe the proper medication, which I believe he has done. My son has improved tremendously since being in his care. The staff has always been wonderful and worked with me to schedule and re-schedule appointments. Never had an issue. I would recommend this doctor to anyone and disregard the nasty comments.
