They play second run movies for only $3, matinees and Tuesdays $1. Popcorn and drinks are downright cheap and you won't have to take out a second mortgage to have a snack to enjoy with the movie. Seats, sound, and projection are all top notch and updated. The theater is now owned by the city and provides an affordable and enjoyable service to the community. I hope everyone in Searcy will support The Rialto and get out there and enjoy a night out at the movies that won't break the bank. Movies a special in this kind of environment and not in some nondescript cineplex.

I barely had enough time to get to know this courteous and down to earth people. The confederate flag waving across the street was a bit appalling to see waving in 2019, but what kind of American would I be if I didn't let my love of historic theater restoration and movies themselves and get to know these people and share the commonality that we do have. Hey, they might not be down with the statue of the confederate general too. That's their antiquated past. However, the young gentleman with the beard and cap behind the concession stand suggested a great cafe in its own right for a comfy sit down. And as I walked through this small town's serene streets back to the theater, I fantasized of how profoundly cool it would be to see my favorite cult classic movies on a summer night with a refreshing soda and warm, golden popcorn. But I had to keep to the road and the $10 shirt that I baught to help raise money to restore the seats was well with it.

Let's start with the seats. Recliners that make it feel like you're watching a movie at home, but better because you get a huge screen. Comfortable, spacious, and just the right angle to get lost in whatever you're watching. I love to put my legs up like I'm watching a movie at home on the couch. Then, there's the drinks & food. They actually have good IPAs on tap or bottled (which is a huge win for a movie theater), and hot, fresh pizza. Now, a lot of the food is your typical movie theater BS, but those Pizza Hut mini pizzas? Pretty solid. Like B- solid. Especially if freshly hot. Definitely a step above the popcorn-and-nachos routine. So, Cinemark Colonel Glenn delivers on everything that matters--comfort, good snacks, and that feeling you need to make leaving the house to see a movie even worth it.

A person who is not familiar with the theatre may need to ask specific questions for clarification of what they are seeing on the seating screen. Talking down to someone is a bit of an insult, especially if they are a very educated senior couple. Also, the concession stand person selling the popcorn, needs to change to the full popcorn canister; so you are not getting the dregs of the batch. When I made him change my bucket to the full batch; he did apologize; "his bad" and he was pleasant. I thanked him for the pleasant attitude & that he did change my popcorn without a hassle. They had "Cats" & "Star Wars". We did a back to back movie afternoon. Really good. Sound system excellent.

It can't be because they aren't making money almost $8 on a paper bag and 30 cents of popcorn. I get they have labor costs, but obviously no money left over for maintenance or cleaning. My "seat" was deficit of any padding and the entire place was disgustingly dirty. Carpets that have never seen a cleaning were the most obvious reason for the stench. Do yourself a favor and wait for it to come out on streaming.

There was dirt built up on all of the speakers (that didn't even have sound the whole movie). There was cob webs all over the walls and where the movie is projected, my whole party had at least 1 bug on us sitting in the top row, the employees said they only have anything cleaned once a day (we had to move trash just to sit down) while 5 of them were standing around talking and not doing anything... I'm appalled by every aspect of this place. The owner needs to get it together, for a cash only business it needs new management or someone who actually cares about their business. Health dept and code enforcement should get involved obviously... waste of money and time 100%

Within a few minutes of sitting down I had a bug crawling on me...probably from the lack of cleanliness. Not enough is offered at concessions. I wasn't confident enough in the establishment to order any more than a soda. The screen was the smallest I've seen and they try to make up for it by making it AS LOUD as possible. The movie was skipping like it was a DVD...I could go on and on. This place needs a complete overhaul. From outside in. Wouldn't recommend to anyone and will avoid at all costs moving forward.
