In between movies I ordered a pizza while she was using the restroom and I purchased our second set of tickets. While we were eating the pizza in the nice lobby the gentleman who sold me the tickets a bit early came over and apologized saying he mistakenly rang her up as an adult the second time and overcharged me. He brought me a receipt with a corrected bill on it and told me the difference would go back onto my card. That is attention to detail. We both loved the food, the niceties and the staff. They play second run movies for only $3, matinees and Tuesdays $1. Popcorn and drinks are downright cheap and you won't have to take out a second mortgage to have a snack to enjoy with the movie. Seats, sound, and projection are all top notch and updated. The theater is now owned by the city and provides an affordable and enjoyable service to the community. I hope everyone in Searcy will support The Rialto and get out there and enjoy a night out at the movies that won't break the bank. For me, I'm just amazed that I can buy $11.25 for "VIP" reclining seats. The screen is not the biggest, but it's perfectly sufficient for watching a movie. I saw Aladdin here recently with VIP seating and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could pick my seats when I bought the tickets at the concession stand. (Yes, unfortunately there are no automatic kiosks so you have to go up to the concession stand to buy tickets). The reclining seats were very comfortable and roomy. I thoroughly enjoyed my Aladdin experience. I saw The Lion King recently - on the second day that it came out - and was surprised to find that the 6:30 VIP seats were all sold out by 6pm. We bought the $10.25 normal tickets for the 7pm show instead, which are first come first serve. The concession stand person said that the theater was open, but the ticket lady said that the theater would be open around 6:45-6:50 and didn't let us in. We came back at 6:40 and it turns out the theater had been open for a while; most of the seats were taken. When the movie started, I was really disappointed to find that the surround sound wasn't working at all; everything was below 1/4 volume and all the songs were much less powerful because of it. I could actually hear all the background noise around me. Overall, I would still come back since it's a 3 minute drive from me, but I would definitely get the VIP seats every time.

I wasn't confident enough in the establishment to order any more than a soda. The screen was the smallest I've seen and they try to make up for it by making it AS LOUD as possible. The movie was skipping like it was a DVD...I could go on and on. This place needs a complete overhaul. From outside in. Wouldn't recommend to anyone and will avoid at all costs moving forward.
