Despite the limited time, I'll share my experience regarding the room and the brief interaction with the staff. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, being only a 3-minute drive to/from the Lincoln Airport. However, upon arrival, I encountered difficulty finding a parking space as the lot was completely full. There were a couple of large box trucks occupying multiple spaces, forcing me and several others to park in makeshift spots. I noticed a construction fence from a neighboring hotel, which may have contributed to the parking issue. Once inside, I checked in and was offered a bottle of water and a snack, a nice touch from the staff. In my room, I quickly took a few photos for my review and then headed to bed. The only area that seemed to require attention was the chase lounge, which could have benefited from a thorough cleaning. Apart from that, the room was great. The air conditioning worked wonderfully, keeping the room cool, and the bed was comfortable. In the morning, I took a quick shower and prepared to leave. Before departing, I grabbed a grab-and-go breakfast. This is where I have a minor complaint. Usually, I would enjoy breakfast at the hotel or even try a local place, but my early schedule didn't allow for it. The little brown bag contained a bottle of water, a bagel, an apple, one packet of peanut butter, and one jelly packet. While it sufficed, I have experienced better grab-and-go options at other Hampton Inn locations. It would have been nice to have a few napkins and some utensils to spread the peanut butter and jelly. Overall, it was a great stay at a lovely location, and I would choose to stay here again in the future.

I am a little at a loss for if I should be posting a review at this time, but often when I am not…read moresure I will return to a place, I go ahead and post it. I have been to conferences at this location and have always thought that it might be cool to stay here. I am not sure I will. I arrived and was excited that this was the location (I had thought it was some place else). The sidewalk was trashed on the south side of the entrance which really surprised me. Check in was great and easy until right finishing the young man working the desk said that unfortunately the room key making machine is down so to let me into my room - their staff will need to unlock the doors? What??? I explained this was really not okay and I will feel hostage to my room - the young man said that he would run up and let me in - I told him that it might take me a couple of trips so this was going to be really inconvenient. He said we could leave the door open after I drop off my first run and I said that I was carrying my camera and computer so no that would not be okay to leave them in an unlocked room. He was very helpful but honestly once I was in my room - I didn't feel like I could leave. (I used one of the baggage carts so it did only take 2 trips, but like I mentioned the sidewalk was really bad - however, just drove it in the parking lot instead.} I called down to check on what breakfast was as that had not been explained and had to use my phone as the room phone was not working. Bed was comfortable - tv was not - had to wiggle the wires in the back to get a clear picture. I was checking on the pool and learned that it was shut down for another week or two - truth be told, that was noted on the site that I reserved the room and I had just missed it, so no points lost for that. The next morning Breakfast was really good - the woman running it was game on for getting the food out there for people and the only odd thing was getting the young guy to unlock my door - he asked my room number and disappeared when I turned to fill my cup with ice. He was to my room at almost the same time as I - I commented on wondering if I was going to see him and he said that he doesn't trust elevators so he took the stairs. I did comment to both men who helped me that this key situation was not okay - I had planned to even run next door for food but it all seemed so inconvenient - even though the front desk didn't seem to think it was, it's not okay. I'm sure there would be extra fees in getting someone to come in and fix the machine on the weekend but not having keys for your client's rooms - really is unacceptable and should qualify for paying emergency fees to get that fixed or working with another hotel to see if something can be done. If I do every opt to stay here again - I will definitely reach out and ask more questions.

Dead bugs in every corner and a huge spider ran across the bed. It was nice that they were able to move us to a new room. It's nice they offer breakfast but with the way the hotel is kept- wouldn't trust the food they put out.

The front desk employee was polite and apologetic, but accompanied me to the next room late at night, which made me uneasy as a woman traveling alone. The second room was clearly not cleaned--there was an unmade bed and used towels on the floor. The third room I was assigned was acceptable, but it did not have a security chain on the door. Given the earlier issues with rooms being incorrectly assigned, I did not feel safe and was worried someone might enter my room. The following morning, I went down for breakfast shortly after the posted start time of 6:00 AM, but nothing was set up and no staff were present. When I called, I was told breakfast started at 6:00. After explaining it was already past that time, I was told it would still be a while before anything was ready. I raised my concerns about the previous night and asked about a possible refund. I was told someone would look into it and follow up, but I never received a response. After multiple follow-up calls, I finally spoke with the same employee who had checked me in. He was extremely rude, denied the situation occurred, and repeatedly accused me of being "the kind of person who takes advantage of a situation." He also refused to let me speak with the manager (his cousin), claiming he was unavailable. At this point, I am less concerned about a refund and more focused on making others aware. The lack of proper room management created an unsafe situation, and the dismissive and hostile response from staff was unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here, especially those traveling alone.

Decided not to drive straight through and stay the night in Lincoln, NE. The 'Making you happy…read moremakes us happy' motto they have in their entrance way was a nice greeting. The person who checked us in was friendly and personable. They had umbrellas in a quaint holder by the front door which was great and I would have borrowed one had he not driven under the awning and unloaded us. And of course, being a man, he didn't need an umbrella for the rain. The room was fairly large and I did like the amount of closet space. Sometimes the closets are so small. I was able to hang out damp coats and clothing items to dry. The one complaint I have is the sink counter is too tall and the sink set in it too far back for a short person to lean over and not make a mess everywhere. While brushing my teeth I managed to drop toothpaste on the countertop. And it was not comfortable rinsing my mouth. We also didn't check our pillows so he ended up with a fluffier one while I had a flatter one and we switched in the morning when we woke up as it was uncomfortable. There was a bench at the foot of the bed which was also tall - my feet couldn't reach the ground. He found it hilarious but it made putting my shoes on more challenging. I appreciated the extra lengths they took to make the room clean for us during a pandemic. The hot breakfast was provided in the front dining area and there was a good selection of different breakfast items. I chose a cheese omelet with sausage links, orange juice and water. The food was average hotel fare. He had a small danish. It was bite sized. He didn't care for it. What I will applaud them for is having water, tea and coffee available at all times it seems. They were on little tables in the lobby area. Extremely dislike when you have to pay for that like at some hotels. I also had a yummy cookie. What a pleasant surprise. It was soft and tasty and delightful after a long drive. And their little snack corner was well stocked with little necessities, drinks and snacks. Overall verdict? A very pleasant stay and restful to boot.

Upon entering, there was a seal put on the door My remote was placed in a plastic bag (liner bags used for ice buckets), but there was visible stains (possibly splash of coffee with cream?), so I decided to wipe it down. The alcohol pads were FILTHY. On the plus side, there is plenty of sanitizing stations placed through the hotel. Hot breakfast was available for $6.95, and is basically a buffet but the staff serves it for you. Service was excellent, and there were tables reserved for social distancing purposes. Unfortunately I think that guests moved these "reserved for social distancing" signs for their own convenience, and a maskless family of four ended up sitting directly next to me, which made me uneasy. I am here on business that requires a 15ft cargo van that would not fit in the garage. The front desk was knowledgeable enough to know the closest parking lot that could accommodate large vehicles. I was very appreciative as I searched for awhile before calling the front desk. It was 2-3 block walk, but it's better than parking in the 2-hr street parking!
