Upon arrival we were told that the men needed to be wearing jackets. I wish that our hotel had told us because my husband had packed one, but luckily the restaurant keeps spare jackets on site for just this situation. The large dining room is incredibly old school with beautiful brass dining chairs laden in blue and yellow striped fabric. When they brought out the wine list I thought it was a joke because it was the size of a dictionary! For dinner I had the beet tartare and the veal filet. The soy marinated tofu was a little bit of an odd flavor combined the beet dish but besides that it was quite good. My husband started with the gnocchi and it may have been the best dish of the night, it was dynamite. In my opinion, my veal filet was better than my husbands beef filet and I also really enjoyed the petite eggplant parmigiana that came with it. Soufflé and ice creams for dessert were a big hit, but I was especially pleased because I asked if they had some dark chocolates off menu and they brought me out a beautiful assortment that tasted as good as they looked. Great restaurant if you are looking for an elegant evening out on the town or an excuse to use the dinner jacket that you packed but thought you wouldn't need.

The hotel itself is beautiful with the most breathtaking view of Lake Como. Our room was clean and well appointed. You can reserve a seat on their shuttle to get to the shopping area, walking on the curvy mountain road with no sidewalks would have been impossible. The shuttle was always on time and well worth the small extra charge to use. Breakfast was included and was quite good, including hot and cold items. Due to bad weather, we opted to stay for dinner one night which I don't think I would do again. Our lasagna was not very good but honestly the view is so spectacular that you don't really mind. The restaurant staff was really hard working and there was never a long wait to get an espresso or a cocktail.

They did it all with a pleasant smile and Italian grace. The shuttle to town was always on time and easy way to come down to town. The breakfasts were very good and again great service. Overall our favorite place in Italy on this vacation. I can't wait to come back!

It was the best piece of fish I've had in a long time. Overall, the Bvlgari brand is an important part of Italian culture. From the moment we arrived, the hostess was cold, unwelcoming, and seemed genuinely uninterested in having us there. Rather than making guests feel welcome, she appeared to signal to the bar staff that there was no urgency in serving us, which set the tone for the rest of the visit. Service throughout was incredibly slow. We were given the wrong type of water, and our drinks took an excessive amount of time to arrive. Even more disappointing, one of the cocktails was completely undrinkable because it contained a bug. What was most surprising was the disconnect between the hotel's reputation and the actual experience. I have stayed at some of the world's finest five-star hotels, as well as much more modest properties, and have consistently received warmer, more genuine hospitality than I experienced here. Luxury hospitality is about making guests feel welcome and cared for. Instead, the atmosphere felt pretentious and exclusive without delivering the level of service that would justify it. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but the lack of attentiveness, warmth, and basic hospitality was impossible to overlook. At no point did we feel valued as guests. For a brand with Bvlgari's reputation, the experience was remarkably underwhelming. There are simply too many exceptional places in Milan to spend your time and money somewhere that makes you feel like an inconvenience.

It has a restaurant on property and lobby bar close to the center of town, breakfast included but very limited choices on the buffet. If you want cooked eggs it's $10 extra. For lunch and dinner we found the restaurant t to be pricey and not very good. Good gym, lots of windows and natural light, clean. I would say the big reason our review is getting a three is because almost every employee we encountered could use some training in customer service. They have a certain way of doing things at this hotel which is fine, but much better received when said with a smile, especially when the answer to your question is no. Usually in a four or five star property the staff try to accommodate guests. We didn't find that to be the case during our stay and would have enjoyed the no's and our stay there more had there been more yes's and the no's at least presented with a smile. Also the massage from the spa was not good, I paid extra for a deep tissue massage, it was like a pressure point massage not enjoyable. And the sheets and towels on property are hard and scratchy not soft as you would expect at a nice hotel such as this one. It's also strange that you cannot get two keys for your room, another no.

While I didn't stay there, I did visit for drinks in the lounge. They have a nice full bar and all the drinks were made well. As per the usual in Italy, ordering drinks comes with complimentary snacks - little bowls of pistachios, chips, etc. Looked over the pricing for the rooms and I'd say it's reasonable for the area and level of the hotel.
