My first time at this salon with Ms. Abigail and I was pleased and excited about how she blended my hair! It's been a long while (2 1/2 years) to find a stylist who knew what is best for my hair and how it benefited my look! I originally posted a review of my experience with this salon yesterday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]3 hours after the post, I got a call from the owner, Krista. She apologized for the incident (bad baby haircut and lack of response/communication) and told me she had not called me back because her phone wasn't working.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Krista assured me Ashley would not cut baby hair anymore. She admitted that Ashley doesn't do babies but that she tried her best. But that the other stylist are experienced with babies. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had I known this from the very beginning I would have chosen another person to cut my baby's hair for the event we were going to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She asked me if there was anything she could do so I could modify or take down my original review.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I agreed to take down my review, without anything in return, because I didn't want to be rude. However, after talking to friends and family about my experience, I don't think I should've taken down my original review. Reviews are meant to help others make sound decisions. I appreciate the call but it was after it was all said and done, and I had to spend time and money to get another place to fix the haircut. My previous review is down below with the picture. Original Post: "Took my 1 year old to get a haircut first thing Thursday in the morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ashley was very sweet and patient with him, I'll give her that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But I do have to admit I don't think anyone should take their little ones there. I ended up asking her to give me back $15 (half of the 30) since I was going to have to take him else where. I didn't want to ask for the full refund since I wanted to respect her time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I unfortunately got no response the first time. I called the salon the next morning, Friday, to speak with the owner to see if I could at this point get a full refund or something. I was told she wasn't there and she'd give me a call back before 12 to see if she could fix it. I did not get a call back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was very stressed since we had a party Saturday and I was running out of time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That afternoon I ended up texting Ashley for the second time for the refund and she responded saying she was busy and agreed to send me the $15.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] At that point I didn't demand the full refund, I just wanted something in return. By no means is this an angry review and I really think they are excellent hairstylists...but just not for babies. I want to start by mentioning that I've been doing my own hair for years and have generally been pleased with the results, though I struggled with the back. Going into the salon, I knew I needed some color correction, but my main goal was to get my roots done/highlighted. This was my first visit to this salon and with this stylist, and I was feeling very optimistic. The salon vibe was great and my stylist was friendly and informative. She did a decent job with the color correction, evening out the patchy areas and reducing most of the brassiness. While it wasn't perfect, it was a significant improvement from when I arrived. Unfortunately, the highlights were a different story. There were very few sections that got close to my roots, leaving me with obvious horizontal lines around my head. The stylist pointed out the hard lines, suggesting that it would be less noticeable once I colored it at home. I felt uneasy about this, but after sitting in her chair for five hours--yes, five hours--I wasn't about to stay longer for her to fix it. When I got home, both my husband and daughter looked at me, puzzled, asking, "I thought you were getting your hair done?" My roots were still quite dark, so I applied my own pink color, trying to accept the outcome and move on. However, after a few days of dealing with what looked like dark roots and uneven layers of pink, I decided to contact the stylist to express my concerns, hoping she would be open to fixing my hair. I sent her a text two days after my appointment and haven't received a response. I'm very disappointed and have decided not to return. read more

I'd like to provide a response to your clarification.. You stated that we were informed from the beginning that you guys didnt service children haircuts. That is not true.. we were told MIDWAY by ashley that she didnt cut children/baby hair. Clippers, Scissors .. None of that would matter in terms of difficulty or safety if you were experienced in cutting baby hair which we found out MIDWAY she was not. I dont think anyone would "return" to complete a haircut after this AND [[HIGHLIGHT]]the owner and ashley only contacted us AFTER 2 missed calls from us, a second message to ashley and a 1 star review... that is all it took to get a reply ASAP[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You didnt get a 1 star for not "finishing" the haircut.. you got a 1 star for 1. informing us midway and 2. for only taking initiative after having to do all of this.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You dont have to reply with an opinion to these facts.. I am simply reminding you of what really happened and leaving this for anyone looking for a kids cut. read more
